I stayed in the hotel for 7 nights with my friend. The hotel is cozy, clean, with a charming interior. Staff was very friendly, especially Yacub. He was very welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel :) The area around has mini markets, exchange shops, clothing shops, pharmacy, etc

The metro station was around 17 min away by walking. We didn't mind walking but maybe some guests would prefer a closer station. We felt the area was safe but restaurant options were limited.

Great location, within a walking distance of the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, the Grand Bazaar and the tram station. This is a friendly and safe neighbourhood with plenty of restaurants just around the corner. Most importantly the staff was very friendly, polite and helpful, from the receptionists to the cleaning ladies. Alil, the waiter in the restaurant, offered a great service, always with a smile and shared some cultural insights. The terrace where breakfast is served offers some nice views and it is a nice way to start the day. The room was impeccably clean and I was lucky to be on the garden side so it was quiet. The wifi was very reliable.

I stayed there for 5 days and the breakfast was the same every day, so a bit of variety would be nice. The hotel is slightly old fashioned but overall cosy and nice.

The Amber hotel is quite old-fashioned, but cozy and nice. We stayed there twice: the first time we chose a cheaper room on the lower floor, and it was warm and comfy while the second room was airy and bright and it was exceptional. Many thanks to the personnel who accommodated us a way before official check-in time after a hard flight and arranged transfers to and from the hotel: the price was high, but the auto was VIP. Special feature is breakfast: the menu was not lengthy or complicated, but it was yummy which might be confirmed by the seagulls sitting around. Beware of them as they are true robbers. :-)))

The Fatih district where the hotel is located is very old and it's a double-edged sword: on one hand you're very close to the primary Istanbul hallmarks, but the streets are very narrow and noisy so you will fall asleep only if you're damn tired to death.

Location was excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast very good. Room clean everyday. Fresh towels and slippers given every day. Nice relaxing roof top terrace and beautiful sea view. Part of blue mosque is visible from the roof top. Overall very happy with the service and the staff.

Need more hooks in the bathroom to hang clothes. Need more space in triple rooms and family room. Need a clothes rack to dry clothes.

The staff was phenomenal, very friendly and helpful with all kinds of information. Our beds were changed and made each day, with getting water bottles, tea and coffee refills daily. The breakfast was also very diverse that fit a lot of dietary preferences, which we really appreciated, and it was really good. 10+ will come again

Absolutely everything!!! The kindness shown by all staff was outstanding, delicious traditional food, comfortable beds, great housekeeping and I would recommend the Sultan Spa package for a special treat. The service provided by Seljuk and Yako was exceptional- they provided great local tips, nothing was too much trouble and they were so welcoming and friendly we felt like family.

In general the hotel is good ,housekeeping every day ,the breakfast is good and ameliorated, Many thanks to Selcuk night reception, Yakub day reception, Eyup billboy and many thanks to all .

Time to time water in the bathroom was not hot and take too much time to come hot so we loose enough water and its not good .

Location. The food and goods were cheaper than Sultanahmet area.

The room was small and the shower was splattering water on the ceiling which left the whole bathroom wet including toilet rolls. Didn’t want to report as I did not want stress my self with anything concerning repairs.

I was at this Hotel for the first time with my Mom and my Cousin, the Hotel it’s nice the Food it’s okay it would have been even better if they had diversified a little at breakfast the staff very friendly and helpful.

the maid never changed the sheets during my stay and I don't think she ever vacuumed for how long we were staying.

The balcony was nice, staff were very friendly. The location is okay. I've been worried about the safety that s why booked this hotel.

Lights in the room are too dark that was very uncomfortable. Doovet and cover are very old. Bathroom is extremely small.
