Super friendly staff that tries to help with everything. The hotel has good localization, with approx. 30 min walking distance to the main attractions however, I don't recommend particularly this location for people with disables as there is steep uphill climb needed (but this is the case for most parts of Istambul, the city located on 7 hills). The breakfast was super good on the tarrace with excellent view.

Very thin walls, which I think all were done with plasterboard . It does not really disturb me when I travel but this was not the case this time. I was able to hear well discussions in the other room.

If you are visiting the Grand Bazaar and The Aya Sofia / Sultanahmet Mosque you are at the right place. Public transport is (depending on your abilities) not far away: tramway is a steep climb towards the Grand Bazaar of about 500 meters, metro is 1,5 kilometer and the nearest bus stop is a 3 minute walk. The staff is excellent, very helpful with everything, very polite and English-speaking.

The room we had on the second floor (204) felt a bit smaller than the one we had a couple of days earlier on the sixth floor. The room on the sixth floor sometimes had a bit of sewer gas smell coming out of the bathroom, but it disappeared soon after switching on the airconditioning.

From walking in and being met by the frontline receptionist, Nadia our stay was incredible. Going down to breakfast and being met by Mariem with cups of the best Turkish coffee in Istanbul every moment was enjoyable. For us the biggest asset of the Skalion is definitely the staff. Akin, Erin, Vysel, all went out of their way to ensure our time was well spent and we got the best Istanbul had to offer. Was such a pleasure going into the New Year with the Skalion's very own singing Nadia ~ what a beautiful, fresh and uplifting singing voice. Hope to be back soon again.

Hi all! I want to share my impressions. As soon as I entered the hotel with my family, I was greeted by the very friendly Natie, the administrator. She can speak 5 languages, can you imagine?) She is incredibly kind and responsive, she helped us solve any questions in one second. This is the best hotel for me and my family, thanks to Natie. About the hotel and conditions: luxurious room, excellent beds, cleaning every day, incredibly delicious breakfast, and during breakfast you can watch the bustling life of Istanbul from the 7th floor, admire the sights, eat delicious Turkish food and look at the sea... I WANT IT AGAIN EXPRESS HUGE THANKS TO ALL THE STAFF, especially NATIE!!! I recommend it to everyone. The second half of the review from my mother: The first impression of the hotel was very contradictory. Firstly, we got lost, and when we were found, the navigator decided to finally finish us off and led us to the hotel through the scary market streets. Therefore, when checking in, I wanted to be mischievous and find fault. But in the three days that we stayed at the hotel, the impression became completely different. Incredible administrator, Natie, smiling and helpful hotel staff, amazing breakfast and quiet music. And what a view from the restaurant! We found a beautiful street leading to the center. Therefore, you can see dirt and debris anywhere, or you can pay attention to something beautiful. The staff turned the hotel into a small oasis among the hustle and bustle of the city. I don’t know how people relax here in the summer, but I will remember this winter vacation with gratitude. NATIE we love you!!!!!

My experience with Skalion Hotel was great and exceeded my expectations. The staff were really helpful and friendly, they helped me to order a transfer to the airport. The room was comfortable with everything you might need during your stay. I really liked the restaurant on the rooftop where breakfast is served. It has a great view and breakfast itself was nice with a variety of Turkish delights.

I had some problems with WIFI at first and could not use the free network but a staff member helped me to fix it. The bathroom is a bit old and needs some renovation.

The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff were amazing.They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I forgot their names but one of the staff members Mariem she made us feel very comfortable to ask whatever queries we had. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Fatih area They were extremely accommodating and Overall, I had a great experience with the Skalion hotel staff, they were all incredibly helpful, and the amenities were great. The room was wonderful, and clean. Thank you to Mariem and the rest of the Skalion staff including the Breakfast staff for serving our favourite coffee without even mentioning it!! Would book here again if I plan togo Istanbul

Great location not far from Hippodrome square and many of the best sights to see in Istanbul. The staff were so friendly and helpful with all of our needs. It was great to have transportation to and from the airport in a spacious and comfortable van. We also got a spa service that was fantastic. Definitely recommend the hamam and Massage Deal! The breakfast was an excellent Mediterranean spread and is on the top of the building so you have a gorgeous view of the city and the water while you eat.

The walls are very thin and also the hot water ran out mid morning so we had to take cold showers on Sunday which was a bummer.

Nice hotel in good location. Overall basic 4 star hotel. What made it a great experience is the hotel staff. Everyone was super friendly ,helpful and polite. Ladies at the reception Natia and Mariam were very sweet , very welcoming and always ready to help with anything. Olso really liked the housekeeping lady, she was very nice and cleaned our roon every day. She didn't speak English but was always very helpful. Breakfast was good, rooms clean, location ok, staff great what else do you need? If im ever again in Istanbul, i will definitely consider this place.

The breakfast selection was great and the hotel staff were excellent, especially the girls working the front desk and the terrace cafe hostess - Miriam and Yasmin. The staff at the cafe were also very friendly. The cleaning crew did an exceptional job with room service every time, above and beyond. The terrace on the 7th floor had ample seating and stunning views of the city. Altogether, we had a very good time at the hotel. However, due to tight schedule we could not use the spa and bath located in the basement. One thing to note is that there is a steep climb to get to the nearby Metro station of Beyazit. All in all, it was amazing.
