I'd like to inform mentioned Hotel team member who booked a taxi on 15 of may to Sabiha Gokcen airport that driver is performed fraud behavior during way back to airport. On the way he informed that car is "suddenly broken" and he can not go further, he offered use other taxi (occasionally ?!?! he stopped where other taxis were parked - i suppose it was planned already) and also card reading terminal in his car is also was not working so i had to look for ATM to cash out and use other taxi and as result i was late. I strongly advise never call for this driver again and use solid and respectable taxi companies for guests to avoid damage of hotel reputation.

I was there during Christmas time and it was noisy, especially that there is no Ac in the rooms and you need to open the window at night. Bathroom Towels were extremely outdated.

Bell boy Hakim went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed for our stay. He used his initiative to catch a taxi for us and bartered with the driver on our behalf. He ensured our luggage was safe while we were away for 3 nights. Excellent. Thank you. Guest Relations Manager Kubra was attentive to detail and spent time with guests, again very open to supporting with any issues raised. Front desk staff Burak tried his best to support with issues, even at 2AM. He greeted me with a smile and explored various options to help. Night Manager Rafik has a wealth of experience in running the hotel. He was supportive also. All of the above was implemented through the guidance, tutelage and support of Day Manager Yunus Bey. Nothing was too difficult for him. He went above and beyond in supporting me with some small issues. When I return to Istanbul from UK, I will be sure to return to Golden Age Hotel, purely due to the excellent service I received from Yunus Bey. He welcomed us and cared for us like family, and extended his generosity to us and went out of his way to ensure our stay was memerable. Thank you very much for this. The location of the hotel was perfect also - 2 mins walk from Taksim square, Metro station and automated metro connecting to tram service. 5 mins walk from Havaist bus stop for connections to and from IST and SAW airports. I would be sure to recommend this hotel to all readers, family and friends.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Golden Age Hotel placed in the heart of Taksim during my visit to Istanbul, and I must say, seeing the prices (for a 4* hotel very low) I was positively surprised Firstly, the location is unbeatable: near to main public transportation stops. Secondly they have a great choice for breakfast with international but also local food. As said, prices very good seeing the location.

I must accept the fact that I also felt the smell entering into the structure, I don’t know if it’s their problem or if it’s coming from outside. In any case, a little but unpleasant and not fair for the hotel level.

I would like to commend Kenan for his exceptional service during my stay. Their professionalism, attentiveness, and warm hospitality truly made my visit memorable. He went above and beyond to ensure every aspect of my stay was perfect, and I am extremely grateful for his dedication. Thank you for making my experience so enjoyable!"

I regret to say that my interaction with certain receptionists was disappointing. From the outset, their demeanour came across as unwelcoming and unfriendly, which affected my overall experience. However, I was on the second floor facing an old building 🏚

Fabulous location - a stone's throw from the airport shuttle bus stop from Taksim Square, which makes it so easy to get to from the airport- great if you are on a short break. The room was small but adequate for a short stay, well-furnished with nice decor which makes it stand out a bit from the 'impersonal modern hotel' style. Very comfy bed and pillows, good shower and enough toiletries provided. The welcome pack of fresh fruit and Turkish sweets was a lovely surprise, but an even better surprise was the fact that we got offered free breakfast for the next day by the very gracious Mr Kerim at the hotel reception- much appreciated! Breakfast was very good too, with various breads, cold cuts,cheeses, salads, fruit, a live omelette counter. I will recommend this hotel without hesitation to my friends and acquaintances.

There wasn't anything I did not like- but if one were to nitpick, the room had a slighly odd smell immediately on entering it, which soon dissipated after a few minutes.

Superb staff, Mr. Vahit at reception was super nice and helpful. He gave me early checkin and a free coffee without extra cost. The staff are very friendly and always help you. Location is the best loads of cafes restaurants bars around. Taksim square is 5 min walk. Definitely staying here next time !

Staying at golden age was very amazing. The welcome was very warm and the staff made our stay comfortable with the gratitude. Especially I want to thank Ayse Nur customer relationship made our stay astonishing and she helped us in arranging tours, like the cruise dinner which was outclassed and enjoyed a lot. Guest relations officer solves problems calmly. On the basis that all employees are like.She managed our breakfast and supported us in everything. The staff at the restaurant was nice and Tuba cared for us. While all stay was comfortable and very friendly
