5 stars ! The team are so kind, the hotel has all what you need. very clean rooms, lobby and very comfortable bed. the bathroom and the room service is 5 stars. central location 5-7 mins to Taksim Square. will back again for sure ;) thank you

I have been to Istanbul many times over the years, however, my stay at the Occidental hotel this July was absolutely my best experience at an Istanbul hotel so far. The location of the hotel is great, within walking distance to the heart of Istanbul, but most importantly the staff are amazing, specially Mr Fettah at the reception who was exceptional. The room, its cleanliness, and amenities in the room (such as towels, tissues etc) were all amazing and whenever anything was needed a quick call to the housekeeping or using the app was enough to replenish them. Miss Pinar in housekeeping really did an awesome job cleaning our room every day, and her positive attitude and smile always made us all happy. Also the breakfast was great, delicious, fresh and plenty variety everyday. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, and I will most definitely book my stay here next time I’m coming to Istanbul. Many thanks to all at occidental who made mine and my family’s holiday enjoyable😊

Everything was great, there was nothing that I didn’t like.

Breakfast was excellent and staff very accommodating. Location is perfect. Only thing is superior rooms are not a big size and standard rooms are better for some of the superiors we saw. Finally we goy a better superior room! Unfortunately bathroom had issue and we were given a junior suite and it was very nice.

You need some information on the city and places to visit and better information on taxis. However the reception was very good and helped us a lot. The lady, the 2 supervisors, hussein and the doorman.

The location was quite central, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the facilities were good as well. Good breakfast and a nice clean room with new bottles of water everyday. The fact they have room for smoking people and also a smoking sitting area outside the place was super useful. The spa downstairs has good massage therapists.

The wifi wasn't super good and sometimes was disconnected. The spa downstairs didn't feel that professional and sometimes was too noisy and crowded (The therapists were great!) The location is super good but the restaurants and bars around are full of tourist traps some better to walk a bit for decent places.

The Rooms were really good, clean and spacious. The reception was helpful in answering all enquiries and room service was really fast. We were assisted by hotel reception guy who was really helpful in finding us a taxi on our last day. The Spa was excellent with the sauna, swimming pool and Hammam great use and kept clean. The staff at the spa were really nice and helpful.

On our first day we had a problem with our check-in and the lady at the reception was not helpful or sympathetic. Also we arrived no real welcome or help with the bags, should have been more friendly. Also one of the rooms we checked in had a really strong smell of Cigarettes, but was resolved with a replacement room which was good.

Excellent Central location, 200 m from Taksim square and metro station. Nice Room and the most amazing Clean Service of the room i have seen. Amazing diversity at breakfast of any kind of food - bread, cheese and vegetables, fruits and desserts. There were over 10 people involved in serving and cleaning and although hotel was full with 200 guests , those guys were ready within seconds. Excellent service at the restaurant - we had the pleasure to be served by Yahya most of the days. Only positive words for the stuff. Everything was clean. Wifi strenght is acceptable

Some minor negative aspects like: Room was not enough sound isolated so there was noise from the street and from the mosques, they should think about an upgrade of this. It could be annoying to wake up at 4 or 5.45 o'clock from the calls/gongs from the mosques. The bath corner was not tall enough at least in our room, so you are taller than 1.85 cm you will hit the douche plate above you. Also regarding the district - seems a little bit dangerous especially in the night, just 1 street from the square and there were a lot of shady people around. And unfortunately pick pockets in the near metro and on the streets, probably because of its popularity. Maybe a little bit more expensive than the other hotels around.

The best hotel i've been so far, very clean, good service and very well located in the heart of taksim, stuff are very nice professional and helpful ..i highly recommand it 👍

We arrived at 730am and they allowed us to check in earlier than 2pm and we got an upgrade. Staff were amazing, helpful, very hospitable, clean, friendly. in the centre of Taksim Square

had to pay 5 euro each for a swimming cap to use the pool, so we didn’t swim

Very kind and friendly staff, they helped me a lot with few problems and questions, such as providing me a computer screen for an online test and more. Very clean, comfortable rooms and hotel amenities. Best location (2 minutes walk from Taksim square). Good breakfast, very clean and appropriate to COVID measurements.

The spa is closed, but you can use the spa of a nearby hotel from the same chain (which is even better with a gym on the top floor with a 360 view of the city).

I stayed at Occidental Hotel for around 9 days, staff at reception are really nice, we ask them to change the room and they were very helpful and cooperative for our long stay. Cleaning and housekeeping staff are also nice and very cooperative, I wish I can remember names as they really deserve appreciation. The location is perfect few miles toward Taksim maydan. Everything was clean on daily basis.

Ummm not a big matter, but pool facilities , I mean the pool supposed to open at 9 , I usually go down and swim while lights are off 😅 until responsible staff arrive at 10 - 10:30 and turn it on... you have to remind them to turn on the Sawna plus don't forget your head swim cover to avoide overvalued price. Room walls is not that thick but for me it wasn't a problem as Taxim area is designed in this way.
