the facilities and staff were fine. only the room size is very small (which is noticeable from the pictures of the property) and it was located in the market area and wasn’t suitable for holidays

We very much enjoyed our stay at this small hotel with a great location in the heart of Istanbul, near the Grand Bazaar. The rooms are cozy and we had a beautiful view over the rooftops, overlooking the harbor. It’s clean and the air conditioning cools the small room very quickly. The breakfast is nice and the kitchen ladies are super friendly. It makes it for a nice morning before taking to the small cobblestone streets of Istanbul with all the little shops at every step. Above all else, the reception desk is very nice and welcoming. They went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our stay and assisted us with advice and directions to the nearby attractions. We only stayed 3 nights but we wished we stayed longer. Will definitely keep it in mind for our next trip to Istanbul. We were very satisfied with our stay at the Mayer Hotel. More than a hotel stay, felt like we were staying with friends and we miss them already. Thank you to all the hotel staff that made our first trip to Istanbul so very enjoyable!

I’ve read other comments about the rooms being small and the but the fact is one doesn’t really go to Istanbul to spend too much time in the hotel room. There’s so much to see and do. As a bit of a side note here, the Grand Bazaar is obviously an amazing place to visit but I’d advice travelers to check out the small neighborhood streets with all the little stores (better priced) and small corner-street places to eat rather than the main road shops and restaurants that cater to tourists

Good location (in 10 minutes from Grand Bazaar and tram station). The street is not noisy. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help. Good breakfast, you won’t leave hungry. The bed was comfortable, an interesting passive lightning in the bathroom.

We booked two rooms (identical in description). One of them was very small and safe was not working, the second one was good size but the card key stopped working every day and we had to go to the reception and recode it every time, it was annoying. I would give 8 points, but added +1 for the staff.

Most of all the very helpful and friendly staff. I have to mention that they helped me to trace my mobile phone which I left behind in a taxi to the airport. How the gentleman managed to do that I don’t know but I am very grateful for his help and also for that of the kind taxi driver who had to turn back to the airport in heavy traffic. Furthermore, we have to compliment the great breakfasts.

The mattress could do with replacement but not too bad.

Super clean, comfortable bed, we had a flickering light and when it couldn't be fixed we were given a new room, which was an ungrade. Breakfast was nice and fresh and staff were friendly.

Really only 1 thing that didn't work and that was the fridge. With the weather being so hot it would have been good to keep food and especially drinks cold.

We enjoyed our stay at Mayer Hotel. Nataliya and Svetlana were just amazing - supportive, helpful, kind and caring. The breakfasts were great. The hotel is well situated, not far from the tram line 1 which can take you to the historical center.

Friendly staff. Not a wide range of selection for breakfast but was good and fills you up.

Location is a plus and minus. Not far from the main strip and blue mosque but the location meant there was no view from the window. Finishing touches were needed like securing the shower head to the sealing or repainting flaking paint but that didn't affect the stay.

Staff are really incredible. You could ask anything from them and they would give it. Also there was a Russian speaking staff member too who helped us a lot. And of course receptionist is really nice and kind guy.

The neighborhood seemed kinda dark and not safe. But nothing happened to us when we were coming from shopping in the midnight so I guess it just seemed like that for us.

I stayed there 3nights 28.06.23-01.07.23. It was really nice stay. Fresh and clean bedsheets, helpful reception Serdar and 2 other men( can't remember their names) all helped a lot. The room with sea view was great. Moreover, breakfast was delicious.
