The staff from the reception to the breakfast to the bar are exemplary. The team pays attention to even the minute of details and that’s makes a huge difference. Especially the person manning the bar in the mornings. Has the patience to even several of request back to back each time with a smile and without hesitation. My family is huge with little kids and elders. Having checked out of Le meridian in Bodrum with a very bad experience of hospitality, At this place Everyone were happy with the services and had a smile when they checked out .Value for money. Don’t know if I might come to Izmir again but if I do, I will be definitely staying at this place.

We were welcomed by Deniz who was so patient , helpful and cheerful. We soon realized that the staff were like her including Ecme,Aziz and Seda. They tried very hard to answer all our requests in spite of the language barrier. The location could not have been better .Lots of activities and good restaurants in the area which is alive till late night.The view from our room was beautiful and the crimson sunset over the Aegean sea was unobstructed from the rooftop of Marriot...AWESOME! The breakfast buffet had very good quality food plus excellent service. The room was quiet despite the busy esplanade. And of course the ferry terminal was only a 5 minutes walk away .Don't forget to take the ferry to Karsiyaka. The indoor pool was big and empty. Will certainly stay here again.

For the traveler: excellent location, pleasing rooms, safe, friendly staff. For me: Had to break my western Turkey holiday because of an unpleasant incident at home. The staff were kind enough not to pry; they expressed their sympathy gracefully, even refunding the cost of a booked tour to Ephesus. Come back in a better time, they said. Someday I shall, I hope. Everything! The hotel has a magnificent and helpful staff, great and pleasant people are so important when you are on vacation. Location of the Hotel as well as the accommodation is really like it says in the guide. We didn't reserve the rooms with the sea view, but we actually had it (partly). The hotel is literally on the "foam of the sea" as we would say in Montenegro, and in front of it is long "lungomare". Almost all important sites for visiting, like the Clock tower, Smyrna Agora Ancient City, Kermeralti bazar, mosques, synagogues, churches ... are not far away and possibly reach by walk .

Everything! Staff were all so lovely and willing to help! Location was right in front of the sea and plenty of restaurants just behind the hotel, amazing seafood. the sea view was absolutely stunning! The room itself is fabulous, everything is so considerate and beyond expectation. Best hotel worth recommending!

The hotel location and cleaning. It is close to many restaurants and down town business. The staff are friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Mr Burak the manager was very helpful in arranging room to us when the reserved room was not available. He tried his best to help and make us satisfied and comfortable

There are two issues When we arrived they did not provide us with the room we reserved through booking. Second night they give us room according to our reservation but unfortunately in the 7th floor and their was a party in the roof level that lasted until 1 am with very high music sound and noisy that not allowed us to sleep When we call the reception 3 times he said he can't do any thing and this arranged by the hotel in specific nights Too bad every thing was good but those two issues

What's the phrase? Location, location, location! This hotel has a great waterfront location, providing incredible views across the bay, and convenient access to Kemeralti Bazaar. The hotel facilities and the room were of top quality. Clean and well maintained. However, my abiding memory will be of the staff. Outstanding service from Elenora and the whole team. Always available with a smile and ready to help promptly. My best stay at a Marriott by some distance, and easily my most fondly remembered stay at any hotel in at least the last five years. Outstanding value for money.

The roof was unavailable for two days due to weddings. Congratulations to the two couples and their guests; they looked amazing. However, it meant I couldn't savour the rooftop views as much as I would have liked.

In general, the hotel and service are on the high level as it supposes to be in Mariotts. The rooms are clean and quiet, with a big bathroom, many towels, and all the needed things for comfortable staying. Nice roof bar where you can chill and have some tasty drinks.

The restaurant does not match the hotel level it belongs to. A very weak breakfast; Overboiled well-done poached eggs with eggshells (how possible?!); "medium rare" equals "well done", and the like a cherry on the top - we were waiting for dinner for 40 minutes because the waiter forgot to forward our order to the kitchen.

I paid for a room with a view of the bay and that’s what I got! It was beautiful! breakfast was wonderful and delicious! There were made-to-order options on top of the many, many things to choose from. Definitely worth what I paid for! The only problem that I had was when trying to book directly on the Marriott website. There was supposed to be a discount for the long stays but. somehow it was only applied to the basic room. I was charged more if I were to book directly with Marriott. I am a “Gold” status member but somehow I am charged so much more than if I booked through Booking.com. The staff was amazing! Very polite and helpful! The valet was very honest, too! I gave tips every time I picked up my car. when we checked out, I was charged just for one day. it turns out, every time I gave a tip, the valet gentlemen applied it to my valet fee. My spouse checked us out so I didn’t know what happened until we were driving away. I will definitely stay here again should I return to Izmir. I will also remember to tell the valet it’s a tip!
