During my stay at the hotel, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it exceeded all my expectations. I really liked how inviting the hotel was. The staff we met were skilled in customer service. It looked clean and felt clean. Decor was pleasant to the dye. Plenty of entertainm being promoted. Lovely eatery area for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Nice bar area too. The lift and corridor to our room was well lit. The room itself offered a very comfortable bed, good size tv and essential bathroom facilities all to a very good standard. Refreshingly our room offered tea/coffee making area.

I think I'd like to have seen a disability friendly spa area as well as disabled parking being more prominent to the entrance area.

The staff were absolutely great - nothing was too much trouble for them! One of our party has celiac disease and the bar/grill manager was absolutely great, personally oversaw her food prep to ensure it was fully gluten free. The reception staff also organised taxis for us at short notice which was appreciated. Bed was v comfy, the corridors were cool, plus a window that actually opened in the bedroom was welcome! The room was spacious and well equipped.

Breakfast supplies were short on day 1 but slightly better on day 2 as we were earlier! The coffee from the machine at breakfast was really bad but thank goodness there was a Starbucks on site. Also feel the benches seating areas in the restaurant could have done with a bit of a better clean.

The location on the outskirts of town with easy access to the motorway system. A restaurant/Bar on site albeit didnt use the restaurant and the standard of drinks for the price in the bar was poor at best.

The hotel is used for wedding functions of which, one was taking place. Despite the fact, I am sure, that there was a bar in the function room, there was a lengthy wait to get served in the paying hotel residents bar due to wedding guests causing a long que for service. Also, doors to the outside seating were frequently opened allowing the smell of cigarettes into the bar area all of which contributed to a pretty poor environment.

Room was lovely. BUT - no ''stand'' to put your overnight bag so had to be on the floor.

I requested a fried egg at breakfast. It came rock hard, and burnt. NOT what I would expect from such a modern hotel. I complained to the lead server, restaurant manager, showed her the egg, she just didn't seem interested and said that the cook was Nepalese as a reason / excuse. I have worked with many Nepalese on the overseas projects I have managed over the years and I find it unacceptable that their nationality is used as a feeble excuse. VERY disappointing.

Smart, clean modern rooms. Excellent walk in shower. Friendly, helpful staff. Simple check in process. Free parking. Our burgers from the grill were delicious!

Being a Friday night, the bar and grill area became quite loud and busy with non residents using it as a standalone bar venue. Being seated for our evening meal surrounded by revellers was not ideal. I do like the business model of The Village hotels, but feel a seperate , more sedate 'snug bar' area for residents only would be a welcome addition for many wishing to escape the noisy crowds.

It's a different type of hotel from the usual layout and hence why I drove past it at first. From the outside it looks like a shopping/gym complex. Once inside the layout is really nice with a large sports bar to your left and a starbucks to your right. Prices were very reasonable. The gym complex and pool is really good. check in again was different, no front desk, just a table with 4 PCs on it and a helpful member of staff on hand to assist if required. It's was quick and simple to check in and out.

Paying for car parking at a hotel. This should be standard. Next you will be charged for having a table and chair in the room, or a TV.

The breakfast was very reasonable, good selection and hot. The location is good, close to the centre, with underpasses so there is no need to cross the busy road. I liked the phone system and the Google assist tablet. It made things very easy

The check in could have been better but that was a genuine mistake and also a working lift would have helped. We booked a club room but we relocated to the 1st floor because of the broken lift. It was fine the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It made accessing the gym more difficult though. Our names/room number wasn't on the list which didn't cause me any problems but my husband had an issue when he went by himself.

Good size rooms. Loved the ESPA products in the bathroom. Extremely comfortable bed. Everything you needed was there. Excellent, well fitted out fitness centre. Good size pool. Villagey feel. Very good value for money. Very close to a driving experience we went to the following day.

I didn’t particularly like the set-up for reception a bit impersonal. Breakfast wasn’t great. One of our party didn’t have breakfast and I am waiting to hear back whether this can be refunded.

Staff superb at check in, both rooms very clean and comfy and in organising a taxi to go out, nothing was too much trouble. Bar staff very friendly later in the evening. Pool facilities and spa were brilliant the next morning.

Breakfast... Hot food very disappointing. Most of it was tepid and the scrambled eggs were pale, watery and tasteless. There was also enough oil on the fried eggs to fry another dozen when they came. Continental breakfasr was ok though.
