Very comfortable large corner room with large double bed ( twin beds locked together) Very welcoming staff especially in the restaurant with Carol, Alison and the rest of the team Plenty of choice at breakfast and hot food arrived hot !

Being woken two mornings on the trot with fire alarm at 6 am and 5.30 am! It had gone off the previous night at 11:30 due to one couple sterilising baby bottles!!!! and then again the following morning !!! But then happened again the following morning at 5:30 which was put down to faulty alarm Had to ask for second hand towel as only provided with one

Room very large and quiet considering it overlooked the road and outside dining' just a problem when our windows were open with smoke drifting up' Breakfast both Continental and English very good and nicely presented and served. Dinner in the restaurant was exceptional all 5 nights we were there we never thought of going out at all every meal was such a very high standard and quality. The Staff particularly Amanda Ruth Carole and Jane cared for us beautifully we felt more like family than just clients. It was our first vist to Northumberland and if we return it would always be to the Victoria. Thank you so very much for everything and for the lovely memories we have brought home with us

All I can say is SEE THE ABOVE

Beautiful large room with a stunning view of the castle. Comfortable bed. 2 comfy armchairs but a little lowdown for older people to get out of 🫢 The weather was warm whilst we were there, but the room could be cold in I would imagine, as the wind whistled through the bathroom window and the bedroom door was quite ill fitting and rattled with the draught. The staff were wonderful. All very friendly and helpful Breakfast was good first 2 mornings but then a delivery failed to turn up meaning items such as fresh fruit and yogurts were missing from the buffet table. However the freshly cooked to order hot breakfasts were still available. Bar/restaurant menu for lunch and dinner had plenty of choice and was excellent quality. Great location from which to explore Northumberland and Scottish borders.

Delivery failure limiting breakfast buffet choice a little .but still lots on offer

Wonderful traditional hotel that has been tastefully updated. It’s a great location, close to Bamburgh castle & the beach & only a few miles from Seahouses to take one of the many boat tours to the Farne Islands. This was my main reason for visiting. The rooms are comfortable & have everything you need, including lots of power sockets next to mirrors! Very important to ladies! It was a lovely surprise to have a bath too - so many hotels just have showers these days. The staff were all a credit to the hotel, friendly & chatty to all the guests. They seemed genuinely interested in their guests. The breakfast was a buffet style for cereal & toast etc then hot breakfasts cooked to order. There was a great choice, including smoked salmon options which were delicious.

There isn’t really anything. Just bear in mind that if you go to bed early there will be people leaving the bar & restaurant late in the evening so there may be a bit of noise at this time. There are also a lot of stairs & no lift, so if you struggle then let the hotel know that you need a lower floor room.

The room was comfortable with a small wardrobe, tea and coffee facilities and the bathroom had a large shower. The breakfast was very generous and all of the staff were very welcoming and polite and couldn’t do enough to help. The hotel is in a great location for visits to the castle and walks along the beach etc. You can also use the spa/ocean club facilities in Seahouses a couple of miles away which was useful to be able to visit in poor weather . We were in room 29 which was at the back of the hotel with quite a lot of early morning noise from bin men and also noise from the room above which was a laundry/utility area I think so maybe rooms in the main section of the hotel would be quieter. There is a pub in the hotel and a restaurant in the hotel as well. There is free parking about 100 metres from the hotel.

A lovely historic hotel with modern facilities. Fabulous view of the castle from the room. The staff are cheerful and helpful making an easy stay. The bar and breakfast facilities are superb with buffet continental plus full English breakfast available for the included breakfast. The dining area is under a conservatory roof and was a delight. Easy walk to the beach and castle with shirt drive to Holy Island. EV charging sites available in nearby castle carpark. Highly recommended thanks

Loud music started at 7am and seemed to be from the kitchen area. But not confirmed.

We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights, The double room was a slightly better room than the twin room but both rooms were fine for out needs. The hotel has a really lovely bar area and resturant which is nicely decorated. Our rooms were quiet which was nice. Breakfast was included and good with plenty of choice we also ate there one evening and had no complaints. The staff were helpful and the free parking was much appreciated as Bamburgh can get busy. The location is excellent the hotel is located on the main street.

There was nothing we didn't like about our stay. I would only say that there are quite a few stairs so if you have accessiblity problems please let the hotel know.

Longest review and no apologies for that, this hotel and location deserve every word! Hope it helps someone. So what did I like? Pretty much everything really. The quirky room we had, which was a really unusual shape top floor, room 24i think it was), which I loved! Now, the location, is just amazingly good. It's on Bamburgh castle's doorstep! A literal 3 minute amble and you're there! The staff are lovely. The bed was comfy. The pillows plump. Nice big bathroom. Good menu, gorgeous building. We've already rebooked to stay again 😊😊😊 for my birthday in January next year and we're bringing my parents as well, we loved it that much 😊🥰 Thoroughly love this hotel and the location is a solid WOW from me 😁😁 The street that it's on its so nice as well, with an ice cream shop, coffee shop, pubs, restaurants, all you could need and the views wandering down? So stunning. Picture 1, this is 30 seconds from the hotel door. Pretty amazing. Picture 2, the secure hotel carpark is just up the road (maybe 300 yards it's foc - there is limited parking outside of the hotel but we preferred the secure one) and the field in front in the evening is full of bunnies ❤️ Picture 3, this is literally 2 minutes walk from the hotel. When you step out of the hotel entrance you are met with the best views ever if you love castles, history (especially viking). Picture 4, this is the beach which it a 10 minute walk away. Exceptional beach with beautiful whit sand and sand dunes and you can walk all around if you want.

There was nothing not to like here, for me. In fact we both loved it, even my partner said he was a bit wowed by the place! One thing I will say, which the hotel do mention themselves is about the stairs. If you do not do well with stairs or have mobility challenges, then ask for a lower floor when booking your room. I loved the view from our room but we were on the top floor which was up quite a few stairs. For me this is in no way a negative but for some it will be important.

We stayed in an enormous double room on the first floor overlooking the fry of the hotel. The massive double bed was very comfortable. Recently refurbished en suite shower room very good too. Friendly and helpful staff. Good quality bike shed with lock in hotel car park 100 metres away. 10 minutes walk to Bamburgh Castle which has a stunning setting.

We let the hotel know in advance that we were vegan and would eat in the restaurant and were reassured the chef would have options for us but at dinner there was just one vegan main and starter on the menu so it felt like they hadn’t prepared. At breakfast there was no vegan spread for the toast and not much in the way of vegan options. The biscuits in the bedroom weren’t vegan either. The staff in the restaurant did their best to help but it seems the chef isn’t too interested in offering a vegan menu with choices - which we were offered in the other hotels on our tour.

What a gem of a hotel in the most beautiful setting. We had a double room booked and were located at the back with our own separate entrance. It was almost like having our own apartment! We loved it! Very quiet, clean and perfectly appointed with a walk in shower and massive TV! We ate in the restaurant on our first night and weren't disappointed. Excellent food and service. The breakfast is absolutely amazing with a wide choice of food. It's also close to the beach and Castle. When it was dark we walked and stood on the beach marvelling at the Milky Way above us! I would highly recommend The Victoria for a stay. Finally I must praise the staff for their friendly, professional hospitality. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you.
