Our hosts, Monique and Mark, we're friendly and helpful and we're willing to go that extra mile to ensure that our stay was comfortable and relaxing. We would recommend without reservation.

We had booked the self catering studio for 5 nights and found the total accommodation rather bijoux and we had to be creative with the space. The room was spotlessly clean and the cooking facilities included an air fryer which was a bonus. Ensuite shower room high quality. Our disappointment was that we'd not booked the bed and breakfast option which must be superb combined with such great hosts and is certainly what we intend to do next time we visit!

Beautiful spacious room, so much thought has gone into providing guests with a comfortable stay. Tasteful "Royal " themed furnishings and decor including plenty of storage and the centrepiece, a huge, super comfortable bed. Our bathroom was equally as impressive with a fabulous shower and fluffy towels, everything sparkling clean. Breakfast was delicious, cooked to perfection and served in our room by the lovely friendly hosts. There is off street parking, good internet signal and the property is on a quiet residential street . Now that we have discovered Slate Hall , I can't imagine staying anywhere else at Seahouses.

Having to leave!

The location was exceptional, and we really enjoyed the walk to and from the harbour. It was just long enough to make you feel like you'd been for a proper walk each day. The Snuggery was lovely and compact and, above all, quiet. The available garden was absolutely stunning and a real sun trap. Mark and Monique were the perfect hosts, exceptionally friendly, always there if needed but allowed us our solitude. I would heartily recommend a stay and hope to return for further exploration of Northumberland.

If you are self- catering, a few more knives would be good, BUT with so many places to eat, my advice is don't!

We throughly enjoyed our stay. The standard of accommodation was exceptionally high and we were met by Mark who was lovely and friendly as we arrived . Mark and Monique as hosts couldn’t do enough for us. We literally didn’t need to ask for anything as they had thought of everything to make our stay thoroughly enjoyable. The standard of accommodation was exceptionally high, clean, comfortable and a super comfortable bed. What we really appreciated was the No Dogs and No children policy. From a customers perspective this means it was peaceful, and immaculately clean and from a hosts perspective it meant they can offer high standards of accommodation. Mark and Monique are a credit to the industry. Thank you so much for a memorable and lovely stay in Slate Hall.

Liked it all

We loved our stay at seahouses. This is our first time visiting Northumbria. The property was in a good location to explore various sights such as Bamburgh, Alnwick, and holy island by car. Short 15 min walk or few min drive to seahouses itself. Lots of places to eat/drink/get take out. Our hosts were very friendly and had lots of recommendations for us. They also offered a brilliant welcome tray with wine and chocolate which was an added bonus. The room itself was very cosy and made good use of the space. Thank you for making our stay so special !

Nothing, everything was good!

We loved everything about the property and is exactly as it is described on booking.com - Mark was very welcoming and made sure that we were happy with everything. Loved sitting in the garden a couple of times. The air fryer was a game changer and meant we could have sausage and bacon rolls for breakfast. Great location and lots to do is Seahouses. We had an amazing 3 days. Many thanks. ( great little touch offering us bacon toasties on the last day before we travelled but had already made our own in the air fryer ) Thanks again.

The room felt luxurious and was very comfortable. We loved the personal touches such as biscuits, small bottles of wine and fresh orange juice supplied in our mini fridge every morning. We usually go to self-catering cottages/apartments as I enjoy my privacy and quiet, however we found this BnB to be perfectly peaceful and having breakfast served at our room each morning was a real treat, fuelling us for the day ahead.

Would be nice to be able to control the temperature of the room. We had some cold nights but were warm under the duvet.

Owners couldn't do enough for you, very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Loved the gift of the Northumberland hardback book nearer the end of our stay, great touch. Location was perfect for us. The room was decorated luxurious beyond anything we've ever seen on various travels to B&Bs. The breakfast was outstanding, have the overnight oats, followed by a selection of hot breakfast and toast. Sets you up for the day. Your own fridge with fresh milk and orange juice supplied every day. What's not to like.

The Snuggery, the self catering appartment at Slate Hall, was quiet and cozy, yet contained everything we could possibly want. Climbing up to the comfortable bed after a busy day exploring locally was a delight. Snuggling round the log burner would have been lovely, but the weather was warm on our visit and we chose to sit in the private garden in the early evening sunshine. A short distance from the bustle of the village, the Snuggery is stll only a 10 minute walk from all restaurants, shops and harbourside of Seahouses .

The hosts Mark & Monique are a lovely couple. Our room was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a very enjoyable stay . Great location for restaurants and pubs a short walk away . They have a very sunny guest garden where we enjoyed an early evening glass of wine . Breakfast was tasty , I particularly enjoyed the overnight oats with delicious fresh fruit followed by a cooked breakfast, the room had plenty of tea / coffee facilities. A good powerful hair dryer .

This isn’t a dislike but as the facilities state toiletries I didn’t take hair conditioner or body lotion, these products unfortunately were not provided although shampoo & body wash were provided .
