A lovely seaside vibe with bohemian flair. I stayed in the downstairs Salmon room which was very nice and had a little outdoor private nook with table and chairs. There is a large tile sunken tub with large rainshower fixture. Unfortunately for me, Michael (the wonderful host) wasn't there when I arrived, and I self checked in. It was rather deep and I am slightly disabled, so I was afraid to use it (fearing I would be naked and alone and unable to get out lol). However, I found out the next morning at breakfast that all I had to do was call, and Michael has a step available for those of us not physically fit. I wish I had known that or called the night before because it looked fabulous. So just a note to those who may feel intimidated by that... ask for the step. (Suggestion to Micheal - maybe pop one into the little hall closet on the regular as it was the first place I looked). On that note, for me, the best aspect of the stay was the graciousness of the host. First, he provided a lovely breakfast that aimed to please your specific wants. Additionally, he took time with me that morning to give advice, connect me with a car service at a cheaper rate to give a ride to the train station that evening, gave me tips for my visit to Holy Island that day. Plus, he let me keep my luggage there until the evening. On top of all that, I had a mechanical issue with my rollator walker that would have really ruined the rest of my trip. He came over with his tools and fixed it for me. So, he was just a wonderful and gracious host, and I would gladly stay again! Thank you for everything, Michael.

The location was five minutes walk from the beach and centre of seahouses, directly on a bus route which went to Berwick on Tweed and Alnwick stopping at all the little villages on route. Banburgh Castle was a lovely walk away on the beach. The breakfast at the hotel was excellent, the best we’ve ever had and nothing was too much trouble for the hosts. There was plenty of voices and cooked fresh to order. The room was large with a table and chairs and a settee. The bed was very comfortable and the towels and bedding were exceptionally clean.

Absolutely nothing

Michael prides himself on his breakfasts - and rightly so! plenty of options available, fresh fruit bowls set out every day, local produce, the cooked breakfast was superb, and other options such as kippers and smoked haddock available on request. the room was colourful, clean, and had a terrific shower. The location was ideal for the town, and off street parking was appreciated. overall, it was just what we needed for a break away. the host was also ready to provide advice and guidance to help us get the most out of our stay in the area, local knowledge that was invaluable.

Nothing not to like really. Seahouses was perhaps a bit more 'commercial' than expected, and it DOES have plenty of chip shops, but that's nothing to do with the B&B.

When we arrived Michael gave us the option to upgrade to the bigger room , this room was so lovey , spacious, clean and you felt like he had thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable! Breakfast was really tasty, a nice selection and good quality . The location was great just a 5 min walk into the town and to the harbour. Bamburgh castle was just a 10min drive. Michael was a great host , he even suggested places for us to go and visit. I would really recommend Farne Island bed and breakfast.

nothing bad to say.

The breakfast was excellent, particularly the black pudding. The location was good. Room was bright and airy. Balcony was good too.

The bed was too high, couldn’t get on it, although it was comfy when I did. The corner seat was very uncomfortable and again too high to get on, a nice comfortable chair would have made more sense. Unable to get in the shower at all. Steps are very dangerous, no handrails and in a pokey little space. .

Fresh local produce for breakfast. Good choice. Attentive friendly service. We liked the range of cooked breakfasts including kippers although the standard full English was excellent as well.

Poor first impression due to condition of front porch. Damp smell in bathroom which was somewhat impractical and could be difficult to step down into the shower if we were older.

We were in the 'Cod Room' which was funkilly decorated. The bedroom was more akin to a studio apartment with a large living area with a setee and huge TV and the bathroom was immaculate and included quality vegan toiletries . Michael was very accommodating towards us when it came to our vegan breakfasts and nothing was too much trouble to him. Recommended.

Nothing

Modern, well equipped and colourful room. Impressed with facecloths provided in the bathroom (that's a first!). Very effective shower, and organic toiletries were a nice touch. Breakfasts were the best we've enjoyed on our travels, with added specials if requested. Fresh local produce, good selection and top quality produce. Michael, the owner of the B&B, was a great host. Easy to talk to and very helpful with local information. Nothing was too much trouble.

Vegemite instead of Marmite. (Only joking. Marmite was available on request!). Nothing negative to report.

Lovely 2 night stay. Very clean and comfortable room with great decor. Nice and warm with a great shower. Breakfast was really good. My husband had the salmon and said it was up there with the best he has ever had. Would definitely stay here again.

Nothing to dislike here. It was exactly what we wanted. Location was great for walking to shops and eateries.
