Staff were very friendly and very helpful. The two rooms I stayed in (one double, one twin) were spacious, clean and comfortable. There was a large choice at breakfast, including porridge upon request. A good experience overall.

I stayed here for a conference in nearby Aston Conference Centre, which is easy to reach in 15 min by foot. I wouldn't choose this location otherwise as it's far from the city centre and the busy road is not pleasant to walk next to, especially as a woman in the evening but it is very conveniently located for the conference centre and well priced. There isn't much surrounding the hotel in terms of food either.

Was on the 3rd floor Beds were comfortable, room was a good size with kettle tea and coffee also hairdryer which was good very clean hotel Free parking, location was good for us as we had a concert at villa Park one night and a concert in city on the second night. Breakfast was buffet and food was good. At the side of the canal you can walk into the city and it took us about 30 to 35 mins but we are fast walkers Has one lift found it ok to get the lift wasn't to slow. All staff were pleasant. Nice check in at 2pm got there 1.30 and could still check in which was nice after a long drive.. would definitely use this hotel again if we wish to travel to Birmingham to stay over

Not a issue for us so not a negative but some may want to know there is no air-conditioning you can open the window if on the side like us you will get traffic noise but it didn't bother us. It was a very warm weekend so room was very warm. Had window open and pulled the muslin that draped the window back so the air came in the room found this OK for us and me and my husband had really good night sleep both nights we stayed.

The hotel was easy to find, had a good sized car park with free parking and was modern and welcoming. The staff were friendly, rooms were fresh and comfortable. Had a good night sleep the bed was comfy, good shower too. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice, hot and well cooked.

The only thing i think the room was missing was a bin in the room for when you use the coffee making facilities.

Light airy on site parking smooth check in great to park early as we went for t20 finals day . Obviously money has been spent on the property would definitely stay again. Breakfast was lovely as were the staff lots of choice.

The night security guard was a bit over the top having already watch me check in as we were in the lift he stopped it and checked how many were in each room etc too officious for me , learn to treat guests better as most people do actually behave !

We received a very warm welcome from friendly reception staff. Our room was scrupulously clean, well-furnished and very comfortable. The bathroom was well-appointed and the shower excellent. Beds were very comfortable. The service in the restaurant was excellent. There was a reasonable choice of food and the quality was outstanding. Staff were attentive and did a brilliant job. The breakfast was first-class with a good range of cooked and un-cooked food.

The only very minor criticism would be that the room was a little small to accommodate twin beds.

The fresh style and interior design. Dual head shower. Good storage for bags and clothes. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed and variety of pillows.

Unfortunately car park was full when we arrived due to demand, thankfully we could park in a nearby Street. On closer inspection of the room, there were a lot of loose hairs from previous visitors on the floor. I wore flip flops so hairs wouldn't stick to my feet. The adjustable shower head is broken in room 107. Still able to use it but water is coming out of a broken seal. No air conditioning, it would be great if that could be installed.

Well decorated, very clean. The rooms were big enough and spotless. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The location was close to the Utilitia Arena and the bullring which was the reason for our trip and it was easy to get an Uber driver rather than take the car.

The kitchen was closed the night we stayed so we were unable to use the restaurant when we got there after travelling and also unable to order the breakfast for the morning. Not sure why it was closed however the bar was still open. There wasn’t anywhere close to walk to to pick up food.

Room very clean and bed's very comfortable best nights sleep in a long time. Staff were amazing and due to the mis information when booking the room (not through the hotel) regarding distance to the Arena they kindly gave us free breakfast, for that as well as it all being booked for my sisters 50th

Incorrect information on the site and reviews regarding distance to the arena. It was suppose to be an evening of food music and some drinks as in walking distance. However 3hrs. 22mins isn't what I consider walking distance. Taxi's cost £60 round trip so back in the car it was after a 4hrs journey getting there!

firstly, it is in a close location to Aston University, which was perfect for me as I am relocating to Birmingham from overseas and while looking for an accommodation, this hotel served me fantastically. the staff are amazingly helpful, even I got help for purchasing a monthly bus ticket (thanks again:)) I got separated bookings and they let me keep the same room throughout the stay. the room was efficient, this is a 2 star hotel and for me it deserves 3 (if there were fridge in the room, definitely 3stars).

well, the only thing I noticed was the bed sheets never changed during 10 nights stay. if I asked maybe they would because they’re really nice about helping.

Very good hotel for a basic stop over. Clean, tidy. Comfortable bed; we both slept well. Good shower. Had a meal in the evening and it was decent. Good prices for food and drink. Breakfast was tasty but not very warm, but I think this was because the warmers hadn’t been switched on, so on a normal day, would probably be hot. Nice selection for breakfast and nicely laid out. Lovely receptionist called Sam who was very friendly on greeting and helped us out with regards to taxis for the evening. Great communication and service from her, we appreciated it. Plenty of room for car parking, makes a nice change!
