communication was great even when running late was quickly reassured all good. breakfast was plentiful and catered for vegetarians, the night we arrived we felt cold so requested extra blankets which were quickly supplied nothing was too much trouble, we were cold as we'd been travelling all day from Cardiff and it is definitely warmer in the South! there was planty of tea coffee, milk, hot water shower and a lovely sea view from our room which was worth paying the extra for. staff very friendly and had local information the Rutland is perfectly placed on a Tram route which we used all the time we were there. we prebooked the theatre and afternoon tea at the ballroom, I dont think you would have got in by just truning up also the illuminated train and boat was running but fully booked so if interested book ahead for that as well. we did the tram to Bispath? and got off and walked down through the lights which was a great way to see them and the illuminated trams went passed as well. we had a 3 day tram pass bought on the tram which was a bit cheaper. we ate at the Ginn Pub next stop up on the tram and that was good value pub food. I had not been to Blackpool before and always wanted to, would recommend the Rutland for a couples trip.

nothing I can think of

Then people who own the place are amazing and make you feel very welcome. The place is very pleasant and cozy. Clean enough for me , the only unpleasant think was that the first night we have no heating and was very cold, but I am sure if I was going to ask the lady she will switch on. Anyway definitely we will be back soon . Thank you very much

Friendly staff, lovely breakfast-hot and quick service. Hotel at far end of the promenade so was quieter. Parking was available on the street only a few minutes walk away.

Steep stairs up to hotel room-not much that can be done about this but could've been tricky if you had mobility problems. It was a long walk back to the hotel from the Pleasure Beach-for some reason the tram wasn't running back that way after our day out-it would've been possible to get on a bus or taxi though.

The owner was absolutely wonder and so welcoming and couldnt do enough for us. The room (8) was perfect and the bed was the nicest bed in a hotel i have ever slept in. The breakfast was very good and filling. Great to start the day full! The location is amazing. Its a 10 minute walk down the Promenade to the tower, arcades and pier. Alternatively, there is a tram stop just outside the front of the hotel. Parking was easy and free just around the corner. Would stay here again without any hesitation.

There is nothing not to like!

We loved everything about our stay here. The whole place is very clean, well maintained and nicely decorated. The family room was perfect for our needs, very comfortable and towels/coffee/milk replenished daily. Breakfast was great and offered pretty much anything you could want from traditional full English to toast, croissants, cereals, even pancakes which the kids really liked (and are now expecting at home!) 🤔 Kay is lovely and very helpful, definitely deserving of all the positive reviews we had read previously. We hope to visit again one day, thanks again!

Nothing we didn't like 🙂

Very friendly owners at the hotel, lots of options at breakfast (including many for vegetarians), and the hotel is right on the sea front so great views in the morning. Nice touch with the toiletries in the bathroom. Quiet so sleep wasn’t disturbed.

Nothing we really didn’t like - room was smallish but really not a big issue for us except for the shower being quite small too. Room was up a few flights of stairs so something to be aware of if you have issues with this.

The whole family hotel is spotlessly clean, and maintenance seems to be meticulously carried out, such as fresh brilliant white sealant in shower and around hand basin. The room was "small but perfectly formed" if you will excuse the expression! The full English breakfast was very good. There is a school of thought which states that the sausage can make or break a breakfast... In this case, the sausages were excellent. Location is "sea front" and very handy for trams and attractions. Lovely hosts.

Room was a bit small (but still very comfortable).

Just myself and my daughter stayed here to celebrate her 18th birthday. We were given a free upgrade to a side sea view room. Balloons and confetti were placed on the table prior to breakfast and as if that wasn't surprise enough a bottle of Prosecco in an ice bucket along with a birthday card was awaiting for us in the room when returning from a day out. The hotel was imacculate throughout. Kay and Adrian were very welcoming and such friendly hosts. If we needed anything, it was no trouble. It was just such a comfortable and pleasant stay.

We felt very welcomed by our hosts, everything was very clean, breakfast was lovely. The beds were very comfy and it was a good two night's sleep. We sat in the bar with the children one of the nights we were there, the drinks were good value for money and we felt like we could relax and talk with our host which was lovely. We will definitely be choosing The Rutland again when we come to Blackpool next.

Breakfast was lovely couldn't fault Really clean Kay is lovey Tram stop just outside, tip buy a day pass or group pass if 5 of you as this works out cheaper than individual trips

Parking only 2x spaces at the front, some side street parking if your lucky, else pay in another hotels carpark £12 for 24 hours. Sometimes they get passes to park on some spare land over the weekend on a Friday but doesn't matter if ask for one the day before, as if not there at the time they get the passes they will be given to others.
