We booked this hotel at the last minute without researching the area or the venue, so we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the facilities. Every detail of the room was top-notch, and the attention to detail made it feel very cozy and welcoming. The bedding and mattress were incredibly comfortable, and the room was so quiet that we enjoyed an excellent night’s sleep. We also loved the smart TV, which worked perfectly and even gave us a good laugh when we saw the recent YouTube searches 😅. This hotel offered great value for money, and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Builth Wells.

Very good breakfast plenty to chooses from staff were very attentive to your needs. I dined at this wonderful hotel on both nights of my stay. The food was exceptional choosing a Thai Curry. This was the best Thai Curry i have ever tasted cannot remember the name of the dish but just ask for either 14 or 16 with coconut rice. Sue was my host, and she made my stay a very enjoyable one. The rooms are spotless and comfortable. I will definitely stay again.

Nothing not to like. Bluith Wells is a stunning Welsh town in Mid Wales the locals are great 10/10

The room was nice and big. There is free parking onsite. The restaurant has a nice tastefull decor. The breakfast is very good

We were disappointed with the service for evening meal. We booked a table for 8 o clock as it was the only time we could have. Only to be told that we wouldn't be able to order until 8.20pm. To then be told that it would be 9 0 clock before we eat. The restaurant had nobody eating in there and the bar was quite so could not understand the delay. We left to go and look for a meal else where. It was a shame as we have eaten here before. The food is nice.

Easy to find and conveniently located, just a few minutes walk to the centre of town or the show ground, good amounts of onsite parking. The staff are all friendly and welcoming. Clean and tidy throughout, rooms were nice and clean with good amounts of space. We did eat here this visit as we were attending a family function with food.

It's not really what we didn't like as we found it funny, I am 6'3'' the first funny, if your tall like me remember to duck as you make your way to and from the room. Second funny was the bed has a foot board which meant I had to sleep at an angle although the bed was comfortable and in keeping with the décor and age of building.

We were so welcomed by Paul and Sue, a brother and sister who the hotel. We loved the bar area restaurant was beautifully decorated and the bar was spotless! A wide range of drinks at very reasonable prices! The breakfast was freshly cooked and looked amazing! The cleanliness of the hotel, the bathroom and rooms were immaculate too. If you're a very tall person you may have to duck a lot but other than that it was great! The views were spectacular from rooms 4 and 5, room 6 has the mountains but also the back of the hotel. Didn't feel uncomfortable once and Paul was so attentive, especially towards my nephew.

Nothing, literally nothing.

The breakfast was lovely and well presented. We had a big pot of coffee so no need to keep asking for a top up. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the staff were friendly. The was plenty of toiletries for our use. We had booked the very last room in the town for a very busy yarn festival and we're very lucky to get this one room even for one night which I suspect someone had dropped from their stay. Next year we will probably return but book a bigger room in plenty of time.

The room we booked was JUST big enough to be fine. The sink was tiny and the shelf above got in the way of cleaning teeth. The "wardrobe" was hobbit height and we didn't use it as we couldn't reach it. Looking at the photos it definitely appears we had the smallest room in the hotel. Although spotless and well maintained the decor was a bit dated.

The staff and owners were amazing. Very polite and always happy to help. Recently renovated but still very cosy and traditional. Breakfast was brilliant and catered for all our needs. Rooms were very clean and tidy with complimentary bits which was a great touch ! We was a group of 5 bikers travailing to wales for the weekend and was absolutely perfect. Location for great roads, nice high street just up the road for the evening and great parking for the bikes ! Would highly recommend and can’t wait to stay again.

Check in was easy and the room even though small, it was lovely, very clean comfy bed and pillows, tea coffee and bottled water was provided the bathroom was very clean with some extra touches of soap moisturiser even tooth brush kits. You have a choice of English and Thia food, both were excellent and tasty. Breakfast was also lovely.

I would of liked to see more history of the building around (personal taste) the building itself is fabulous and I was disappointed that some items were missing from the menu, they offer Thai food as well as English and would of like to of tried some more as starter didn't disappoint.

We particularly liked how friendly everyone was. We had an overnight stay with our 2 spaniels and were prepared to leave them in the car whilst we ate, however we were allowed to eat in the bar area with the dogs present, which was ideal. Also a good dog walk or them over the road from the accommodation. Room was good size, beds comfortable, and quiet, Food was also good. Would stay agoin if in the area.

Everything. It’s an amazing old property, beautifully decorated. The welcome was warm and friendly. The selection of drinks was perfect. The food was exceptional, as was the cooked to order breakfast. The rooms were lovely, beds super comfy. All rooms are up stairs, so request a lower floor if this is an issue. Our room was right at the top. It was small but had everything we needed and it was lovely to hear all the different birds when we opened the windows. This is a place that prides itself on excellent customer service. We can’t wait to go back.
