Breakfast was an extra.

Friendliness of the staff and a warm welcome by Lesley at breakfast was always great, good food, quality over quantity. Family room was very spacious, good value for money. Wi-Fi reception was poor in room, has to be in pub to use it properly for work, also shower was one of those tap attachments and whilst it 'dribbled' more than 'showered', it did get me clean!

The WiFi reception in the rooms could have used a booster, as nowhere near good enough in the room to allow me to do my work, needed to be in the pub area downstairs for full benefit - which has a few benefits! The shower could have been more powerful, but appreciate that this is an old establishment, it really wasn't the worst things, but could use improvement.

Good wifi with no faff, I wish Premier Inn did it like that. Bed was comfortable. Room was spacious and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely and good value. Parking was right outside the door. Would stay here again

Check in was awkward. I was carrying two bags and had to nudge my way past drunk people at the bar. I wasn't sure if was even supposed to go to the bar to check in. Some signage would be good. All the moths in Wales were in my room. I got rid of a lot of them but they were back the next night. I didn't have any windows open. I think they may have come in through the bathroom vent. The TV was rubbish, I had my PS5 with me. But to be honest I don't really have any complaints

Evening food great although our starter was out of stock and the choice was limited anyway. lovely rural type surroundings in a more built.up area. Clearly an old building generally looked after , very accommodating waitress

Mess outside litter etc. Out of 3 starters the best one was out of stock. Mains and sweets made up for lack of starter. Would visit again but need a more lively and upbeat barman who seemed to be a little lethargic at times. Rooms definitely not suitable for people with mobility issues due to amount of stairs up and down the corridor

Great location, the room was clean and tidy, had good tea/coffee making facilities. Meals at the bar and breakfast were substantial and well prepared - great pub stay.

Unfortunately due to an early start 7.30 I was unable to have breakfast on the Sunday day one and on day two I almost missed breakfast because I wasn't told where it was - in the restaurant which I did not know about. The lady cooking breakfast came out to find me as I was waiting in the bar - better info when checking in would have helped

Perfect for what I needed, single room with shower. Great value for money and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good too, was able to order when I checked in. The location and property were amazing, fantastic old building. Overall stay was excellent and super comfy. Especially comfy bed. I stayed in single room with shower, perfect for me as a solo traveler on motorcycle. Town and area perfect as a central base to stay and explore mid to North Wales! Great roads and scenery everywhere!

Staff were friendly but difficult to find when checking in and out. Not too difficult and understandable as it's still a working pub with other customers.

It was perfect for the overnight stay and I would have loved to stay longer. There was a live band playing over the bank holidays, but by the time I went to sleep I found the rooms were decently soundproofed. The staff were lovely and even got us breakfast early due to us needing to leave early. The dinner in the bar was lovely and the rooms were beautiful and clean. I'd definitely stay here again.

The only issue I'd say I had was my bathroom had a noticable dip between the bedroom floor level and the bathroom floor level and it took me by surprise the first time. When you know it's there, it's not an issue.

The breakfast was tasty & the staff friendly. The Inn itself was a little difficult to find as new to the area but eventually having stopped at a petrol stn they directed me. The room itself was clean & tidy & bed comfortable & for an Inn it was actually peaceful sleeping. 😃 I actually spent 3 nights there & definitely good value for money. Recommended

I don't think there's much wrong to be honest. Shaving was maybe slightly awkward as mirror was slightly lower than my height

nice 16th century coaching inn. comfortable room. plenty of parking available and felt reasonably safe leaving the bike there overnight

the hot water system is very poor and takes an age to get get any hot water through to the sink in the bathroom and especially the shower. The full English breakfast was not the best I have had, although the poach eggs I ordered on the last 2 days of my stay were superb!

Location was great as only a small drive from the Royal Welsh Show Ground. It was comfortable, had a good bar, had good food to finish our day off. Was good value for money and a good breakfast. Had time to explore the local area, lots to see, nice walks places to go, fantastic views.

Good value for money, clean and tidy but some areas are a little tired. Excellent potential if they want to take it to next level.
