WE WENT TO TY MORGAN FOR BREAKFAST (THE PROPERTY RECOMMENDED BY THE LAMB & FLAG) A SHORT WALK AWAY AND HAD AN EXCELLENT BREAKFAST.

WE WERE A LITTLE NERVOUS ABOUT LEAVING THE CAR OVERNIGHT IN THE CAR PARK BUT ALL WAS WELL, AND RHAYADER FELT LIKE A VERY NICE LITTLE TOWN. THE HEAVY TRAFFIC WENT THROUGH THE TOWN BUT IT DID NOT DETER FROM US ENJOYING OUR STAY. WE WOULD BE VERY HAPPY TO GO AGAIN. THE ROOM WAS VERY COMFORTABLE AND CLEAN, AND THE STAFF VERY HELPFUL.

Decent property for the price. Location is quite central and was ideal for my stay. The room was quite clean and tea / coffee were well stocked. Ample parking was available on site which was quite handy. The beddings were clean and bed was well made up

I was reluctant to have the tea because the kettle was stained with heavy dust or metallic residue. Tried giving it a bit of clean but that didn't workout. Would've been great to have a nice cup of tea after my walk up the valley. The TV was not connected to the Internet - not sure if this was a technical fault or by design

The family 'room' was more like a complete studio, much larger than we expected which was a bonus. 2 bedrooms one master with a double and a single that pulled into a double and a smaller bedroom with two single beds. It had a working fridge, microwave and kettle that were all clean and made bottle/ food prep for the kids very easy. The bathroom was clean and well presented.

The stairs to get to the family room - room 6 are very industrial black metal and not very wide which made lifting the pram quite difficult - doable but tricky, The bathroom was as said well presented but did have a roof window that we could not close, probably our stupidity more than anything just glad it didnt rain during our stay. Just be aware there is no kitchen as such but there is a good sized fridge microwave and kettle.

Staff were incredibly friendly Rooms well equipped Comfortable room Food was great Check in and out was smooth Great location Free parking nearby Restaurant was great and the waitresses were lovely

Quite a lot of noise late into the night Windows / blinds were a bit broken so couldn’t open properly No sign in the bathroom warning about the hot tap only being absolutely boiling! Shower didn’t get hot Taps don’t stay on in bathroom

Good central location and we were able to bring our dog. Nice busy pub, nice staff, good food

Hot due to the sun, needed a fan as was too noisy to sleep with window open. Bathroom was tired and therefore didn’t seem clean - pipes thick dust, floor grubby

The breakfast at cafe over the road was wonderful. Wish Id had time to stay longer in Rhayader. The hotel staff were lovely and the town is just still such a lovely place to be in.Ive known and loved it since childhood.Walks along the picturesque river, even the churchyard is a place of natural beauty with so many wild flowers and birds singing,Historic area that still retains an innocent community where wonderful environmental projects and care for the community are evident.Small shops and gorgeous cafes-sadly the lovely museu is closed at present but will open again soon. So looking forward to returning. Did I mention The Lamb and Flag great evening meal? Lovely.

Staff were friendly. Room was clean and had everything needed for a short stay. It was a larger room than I was expecting. Excellent value for money.

It was very hot upon arrival and took a long time to cool to a comfortable level. WiFi was intermittent.

Very good value for money. Just the basics, but done well. Nice Welsh tea and coffee.

One of the karaoke singers in the pub next door could have done with some singing lessons before being released on the general public. Luckily he was probably asleep under a table by 10.30pm, and everything quietened down.

Very nice room. Small but very practical. Everything very clean. Helpful, friendly staff. Good beer and the fish & chips were exceptionally good. The beer tasted very good and the atmosphere in the pub was very good. Sure that evening Wales won against England in rugby. Thanks for the great experience.

Great value for money. Large clean room with comfortable bed and great atmosphere and food in the pub. The pub is located in the centre of the town, which has lots of shops and places to get. They even had space to park up my motorbike!

It is a pub so expect a great atmosphere until the early hours, plus my room was opposite the road but this does fall quiet at night - take ear plugs if you want and early night!
