it wasn't as antique as the picture suggests but it was pleasant enough as a building. The pool and spa was of good size and wonderfully heated and clean. The food in the restaurant was outstanding and priced accordingly, the rooms well proportioned, and comfortable. Although I found the double bed rather hard. The free drinks in the room were excellent and restocked each day. The wine and the coffee in the room first class. Jacuzzi bath very welcome. Reception very helpful and everyone very welcoming.

Just a very few things niggled. Only one set of towels set out, only one small bar of soap, no robes, only terrestrial tv, small windows, cramped shower cubicle with tricky to adjust shower, hot/cold water in in shower on a knife's edge! Room service did not supply the full menu until 10 pm as stated ... only until 9 pm. Not a big menu with some items unavailable. Food delivered to room without condiments.

The hotel and facilities and staff were great Complementary water and biscuits every day unlike other places we have stayed Towels changed everyday even though we didn’t request it

There was a miscommunication between a member of staff on reception who told us the gym and swimming pool were not included and we would be charged twenty pounds each for using it a day When we checked out at the end of our stay we were told it wasn’t I realise that we should have double checked during the week as in the wording it does say it can be used ,and I also asked a member of the gym team , so I feel this needs to be made clear to all staff that it is free to use

Room was fantastic, we stayed in the junior suite which was amazing. Plenty of space and very welcoming. Staff were very friendly throughout the Hotel itself was very clean and nice looking.

Only thing we would comment on is the spa facilities. Although we had a great day in the spa it was very tired feeling. The changing rooms were small and dirty, and the pool area was very generic more of a gym vibe. There was no 'spa' feeling but ultimatley we got exactly what we went for. Treatments were great and on time, we went before our treatments for an hour or so then had an hour after so we made full use. Its great day spa but just needs a little bit of an update.

The room was very comfortable and well-equipped. If I'm being extra fussy (sorry, I'm a bit of a coffee snob), a nicer coffee maker in the room would have been great, but that is being really picky. Staff were all very friendly and very efficient, particularly those at the reception and behind the bar. The hotel was clean and the setting is very pleasant. Our dog was treated very well too and helped us feel welcome and relaxed.

The restaurant menu was a little limited for vegetarians/vegans and the portion my partner received was a little disappointing for the price. My fish was very nice and generally it was good. The prices suggested a more premium feel that it was though. All great apart from that though.

Great location. Good facilities. Great bathroom with lots of shelf space ☺️ Reception staff were very responsive on arrival, addressing an issue with the fridge in our room. We were moved to anitger room with a working fridge. Good selection at Breakfast.

Service at dinner was appalling, so much so that we dined elsewhere the second night. Too many people standing around not taking notice, so much so that we walked out to the desk to pay as they were not looking to see if we needed anything. I also found it bizarre that the only choice of dessert for me was Ice cream. The menu option was three scoops for ?£7. I only wanted one scoop but was told the only option was to pay for three and leave the other two 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Breakfast was good each morning, only problem on our last day they seemed to have run out of a few items eg white bread and fresh fruit. There is a Morrisons supermarket next door so they could have restocked from there if waiting for deliveries that day. Dinner was good but quite pricey compared to local pubs etc Room was huge and had a lounge and bedroom. Large bathroom and overlooked the courtyard. Room 232. Plenty of room for a family, even though the sofa bed my teen slept on had a very thin mattress and was quite uncomfortable. Didn’t use the spa but we did use the pool, steam room and sauna. All quite small and get busy. Not many places to sit and changing rooms are quite tired and half the lockers didn’t work. Could do with a bit of a refurb. Staff all helpful and friendly.

breakfast - choice very good. Sometimes slow service due to lack of staff. During the week one person was on checking in, filling up items, clearing tables and helping guests. Not easy. Weekend was better with more staff But all staff in restaurant were very helpful and polite and worked very hard. Very clean areas. Car parking plentiful and easy to register. Near to local facilities and lots to do nearby. Handy that the bus comes to the hotel to go into Cambridge. Saves parking and messing around. Had a big event there and the daytime meeting was well organised and went well. Evening meal and party was excellent. Beef was perfectly cooked. and all had a good time. Would go to another event there.

Spa - Not really a relaxing experience. Had a massage along with my Mum and both rooms felt like they had a/c blowing out at high speed. Making it cold. Spoke to therapist who said was vert and not a/c and tried to change temp up but whilst was mainly ok during treatment it was not nice getting dressed under it and did not end it well. All staff were polite and friendly. The room wasn't serviced daily and we had to ask for basic things like toilet roll and bin emptying. Rooms got quite hot even with window open and this was not really great weather, Quite expensive prices for food and drink. Preferable to go to local pub.

Easy to find, plenty of parking spaces, easy check in. The spacious room, comfortable bed, well thoughout bathroom which had both enclosed shower and bath with shower over and most importantly grabrails in both the shower and by the bath. Neat, enclosed jettle and hot drinks area with wardrobe, iron and ironing board and safe. Great sized tv (for eatching wimbledon semifinal. The pool area was ok. Fantastic breakfast with both continental and hot cooked bfast available.

The lockers in pool area were not easy to use for someone who wears glasses - so had to leave things in locker without locking.

Always made to feel important and welcome.Wonderful staff at reception Jade and team, Lauren at the bar working like crazy with the Wedding guests but still had time to say hello and remember that I didn't like 'Kale' with my lovely steak and ale pie!! I was last there in March so that is 👏 amazing. The lovely cleaning lady that does the floors and bathrooms in reception always smiling and greeting us as we passed (she has a ponytail hairstyle,sorry don't know her name) All these staff make your Belfry hotel in Camborne l special, please look after them ,its our reason for returning 😊

We were offered an upgrade a while back when I booked, which reservations overturned without us even being notified . That is the difference in those company staff who are invisible and act in a similar way without care and your staff on the ground at the hotel who do everything they can to make you welcome. Belfry Cambridge is very special.

The location was good for what we needed. The beds were really comfy, I had two pretty good night's sleep and the blackout curtains were the best I have ever experienced in a hotel!

It was just looking a bit shabby and like it hasn't been updated or cared for for a while. For the star rating and price I just expected a bit better. The spa was disappointing and so was the breakfast, I was torn between a 7 and an 8 but because I got such a good night's sleep I went with the 8 as that's one of the most important things when staying in a hotel.
