The Prince of Wales Pub is typical of a lot of our owner run pubs .. they do their best to provide all our needs at a reasonable price and make a profit .. hopefully they are . Its a little past its decor sellby date , but look past that and enjoy the rest , the Landlord is a star , the breakfast is to die for , the dinner we had was great , all this is a pub with great locals , great banter and a fantastic atmosphere. Also take time to walk around the picture postcard english village with its duck pond , thatched houses and beautiful trees .. lovely.

Nothing .. even the Landlords dog teeth look good.

The place is a little gem, as is the owner Simon. Nothing was too much trouble. Food - good quality and at a reasonable price. Selection of decent drinks. Very attentive and great customer service. Breakfast was great and a choice of whatever you wanted. Room fulfilled it's need for working locally and WIFI was decent compared to other similar local pubs I've stayed in. All in all fully recommended and I always ask the same question - would I stay again? You bet I would. Give it a go if working in and around Cambridge - far better than the likes of the national accommodation companies - Prem Inn, Travelodge etc.

Nothing could have been better than what was provided. You cannot be negative about a place like this - from the owner to the food/drink and bedroom.

In a world of Holiday Inns, Premier Inns, and Marriotts it is nice to find something with a little character. Are the fittings and furnishing brand new? Absolutely not. Do the bar and room have character and the required amenities for an overnight stay? Absolutely. I was greeted by name as I was the last to check in, a nice personal touch, and despite the bar being incredibly busy due to quiz night there was no noise to be heard from the room. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was functional, breakfasts was incredible.

The only complaint I can think of is that the FM radio built into the side table didn't work. Imagine having that as the only gripe, wild!

The Prince of Wales isn't the most luxurious place to stay but it is extremely good value. The landlord is one of the friendliest, decentest hosts I have met. The breakfast was amazing. The menu was explained in one sentence: if we have it you can have it.

Nothing about the inn. But if Booking.com sends you an email the day before asking for payment, don't pay it as I did. The landlord would rather you pay him upon leaving - payment up-front embarrasses and annoys him (another point in his favour!)

Had all facilities needed - even a fan available with the changeable weather at this time of the year. Lovely old fashioned pub with a great breakfast - just what I look for for a night away (much prefer to clinical chain hotels with no character) The host was lovely and friendly - was so helpful!! Thank you for a lovely weekend

Nothing. Would definitely be back

Breakfast excellent. Location very good for our visit to local family. Host couldn't be better-welcoming and immediately made us feel at home. Evening meal of sausage and mash excellent. Our room was not large but clean and comfortable. Parking was available which is always a must for us. Best of all it was a Quiz night which we were invited to join - great fun and a great evening.

Some traffic noise.

Everything! Really nice locals pub, with decent rooms and great pub food. Top quality sausages! A very accommodating landlord with a good sense of humour meant that my mate and I thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay. Would definitely return.

Nothing of note.

The owner was very friendly and helpfull, they have a small bar and we had a very nice chat with the owner and other guests. The breakfast was fine, we could give our preference for breakfast so it was enough and nothing was spilled.
