Heather was absolutely wonderful. She was gracious, funny and very helpful. She made reservations for us at a fabulous restaurant just minutes away from the B&B. She also phoned the shops to help locate a stuffed sheep for my 5 year old granddaughter. The room was adorable with antique furniture and the view from our bedroom window gave an amazing view of the sea. She gave us permission to walk around the property and provided us with fruit and bread to introduce ourselves to her two donkeys Harriet and Henrietta. Which was an amazing treat for us as well. We will definitely be staying there during our next trip. Loved it!!! The grounds of the property were absolutely gorgeous.

There is no answer to this question. We loved her and our stay.

The hosts were very welcoming and helpful, organising dinner reservations. Heather provided us with lots of useful local information. The view from the room was excellent and we had a great sleep. We would stay again if we were in the area.

Check in from 5 pm is a little late for us, however, Heather was very welcoming and accommodating when we arrived a little early.

A beautiful b&b with fabulous views and gardens. Everything was spotless and the bed was so comfy. The staff are so helpful and friendly and the full ulster fry breakfast was delicious. This place was a real bargain for the price! It's rare to find a b&b with such a luxurious feel for under £100. And we were treated like royalty from the moment we arrived until we left. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone!

There were no problems, everything was great!

Breakfast is fit for a King and Queen in a charming breakfast room with delightful table of china! Who doesn’t love a a good china cup and saucer! Heather is a great hostess and there is more food than one can eat!

Directions to this property are incorrect, as it is in Whitehead and not Carrickfergus. There is a 57 Belfast Road in Carrickfergus too. Coming from south, continue drive thru Carrickfergus to the other side of the Castle for about 3mi. House is on a corner on the left in a country area.

Lovely traditional hotel with charm, in a quiet spot just outside Carrickfergus Lovely quiet spot, nice parking for motorbikes and easy access to Belfast and ferry terminal, Whitehead and Gobbins cliff path or the lively Antrim coast road. Heather and Tom were fantastic hosts and the breakfast was super, cooked fresh to order. Werealky enjoyed our stay. Thank you :-)

Nothing it was a great stop off on our tour

From arrival until we said farewell both Tom and Heather were the most engaging of hosts. The property was perfect and met our needs. Sadly, it was a short trip but we both felt relaxed and nothing was too much bother. Both Heather and Tom treated us as friends rather than paying guests passing through. Before we left we were shown around the wedding barn.Wow! Something and somewhere where people getting married will no doubt feel special. Great starting point for our little trip. Easy to get to and find

What really made our stay special were the hosts - Tom and Heather are a kind, wonderful couple. No request was too big or small; they really go out of their way to make your stay extra special and ensure that you are well looked after. The room was warm and comfortable, and the views over the ocean were gorgeous. Our absolute favourite part was the breakfast - the traditional Irish breakfast was delicious! We were sad to go, and can't wait to return to visit Tom and Heather again.

The location is somewhat isolated, which is no fault of the hosts. Just something to keep in mind when visiting. Would highly recommend the use of a car to explore this beautiful part of the world.

We had a pleasurable stay in early October! The host, Heather, was very welcoming and cooked two wonderful full Irish Breakfasts. The room was spacious and the bathroom modern and clean. The location was great for touring the Antrim Coast and Belfast.

The driveway was a little hard to find using Google Maps from the Booking.com link, and in the dark. Inputting the address manually led us to the right spot.

Altahammond House sits on an elevated site just outside Whitehead with beautiful views across Belfast Lough. The house itself is very nicely decorated with many period features. Tom and Heather are lovely people and such natural hosts. They made us feel so welcome and were happy to chat at length about the house, the farm, Whitehead and Islandmagee. We were able to make use of an external electrical socket to charge up our small electric car overnight. This was a huge benefit for us as there is no charging point in Whitehead itself. The breakfast was served in the lovely small dining room and the hot food was cooked to order.

Nothing. For us it was perfect.
