This was my second stay at this hotel. Following on from a disturbed night with a very noisy wedding party last year I specifically requested a quiet room this time. The room allocated was in a quiet part of the hotel and I was not disturbed in the room overnight this time. The room as clean and well appointed, with a comfortable bed, and looked out over the back of the hotel with a rural view of garden and fields. The reception staff were excellent and the restaurant staff were doing their best despite appearing to be short staffed for the number of people in the hotel on Saturday evening (see below)

There was a very noisy party present on Saturday evening and they made dinner conversation a challenge. The staff did their best to keep them separate from the residents and the bar did close at 8 pm, after which time they all left. Drinks were still available from the bar staff. The restaurant lacks atmosphere and the menu could be a bit more imaginative, but adequate for a two night stay. It was obvious that there were not enough staff to deal with the large and very noisy party and serve the restaurant guests on the Saturday evening. It did improve after the large party left.

The room was amazing. His Lordships. Reception and bar were really great staff. Air con and balcony great. Overall great stay Really hot and lovely breakfast

TV was up and down. Bbc1 no sound at all ever. Breakfast staff awful. 4 people stood around taking selfies. Told could only sit on one of 4 seats with the sun shining on them as the others all made up for dinner. Told they didn't expect anyone else for breakfast and it was 0900. No milk at the coffee machine. Order arrived wrong. Table never cleared was a mess. Noone at breakfast looked like they wanted to be there. Never a smile just doing the minimum they could get away with. Put a dampener on the whole stay. Won't be back.

Stayed here for 3 nights and we slept great! The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the temperature in the room was just perfect! The room itself was very big and had plenty of desk space which was handy. Breakfast was excellent - the hash browns and sausages were a particular favourite of ours - and there was a great selection of hot and cold options. Great value for money and surprised it was so quiet!

The fire alarm was a little sensitive and went off a couple of times during our stay albeit on different floors.

The room was very large and comfortable, the bed was massive. The room was very clean. The restaurant had really nice food and at a reasonable price. Very convenient if you had been out all day. The location of the hotel was a good location for us to get to where we wanted to go and would definitely go here again

Hairdryer didn't work and didn't get fixed I won't go into it anymore but it did put a bit of a damper on an otherwise great stay.

Very pleasant room, large and clean. Good bathroom and lovely towels. Common areas are clean and nice decor. Staff polite. Bar prices very good.

Very low level of staff so the bar wasn't open until late in the afternoon , although if you want anything, I think they would probably arrange it . The hot breakfast dishes were all a bit overcooked. Bacon and fried bread were very hard and the beans and scrambled eggs looked inedible. Fried eggs were very nice though. Maybe teapots to make a proper tea and not have to keep making individual cups.

The bed was comfortable and the room spacious, the shower looked relatively new, and the shower curtain was spotless, and again looked new. The only issue I had was initially with the tear-drop shaped tap, which I struggled to turn on. Easy when you know how. The breakfast staff were delightful, and managed to find us some fresh fruit salad which we had had for our dessert the previous night, which was fresh and excellent. Convenient for where I needed to be.

There was a large and noisy wedding party in the hotel. They took the attention of the bar staff who did their best to serve us and were very helpful but they were definitely being stretched by the understandable requirements of the large group. There was shouting, screaming, and general party noise until after 1 am in the car park, and then lots of cars going, it was impossible to get to sleep with the noise, I finally fell asleep some time after 2 am. In future it would be worth asking for a room that did not face the main car park. One member of staff in the restaurant at dinner wasn't very welcoming, and was a bit blunt, but the others were really nice and helpful.

Location was great and staff extremely helpful.

The original room booked upstairs had no air conditioning and it was an extremely hot day making the room unbearable to sleep in. Staff were helpful and we were able to pay and upgrade fee. Unfortunately the air con unit was over the bed so the room was either freezing or warm all Night as it only had 2 settings.

Very modern building and decor equally so.- Rather stark in some areas - Clever artwork in reception area - loved that. Room - Small double with two large sky light windows - very well planned and spacious - more than enough space for the yoga mat:) Lighting and power points - good. Bed and pillows comfortable. Bathroom - shower good as were towels. Dinner and Breakfast - Okay All staff encountered very pleasant.

Cold night - room temperature set at 15 degrees - turned up and went for early dinner. Mmm see below Do not feel cold as such however a few degrees higher during winter would have been appreciated. Nothing more unwelcome than a cool room after a long day. Dining room - very large space - it too was uncomfortably chilly !!!(: Fortunately bedroom was toasting on return so was able to thaw out very nicely

breakfast. such a shame. As we entered the breakfast room, the only thing available was the cereal and toast, there was no hot food at all. People were in before us and seemed to have no issues with their food but when the food did come out for us it was undercooked and swimming in grease. the hotel was busy and this may have been an unfortunate hiccup but it was a let down for us on an otherwise great stay at the hotel.

Room was excellent especially the shower

Breakfast was nice but waited 10 minutes for them to refresh the buffet. No one was keeping an eye on the levels. Also couldn't workout what the fresh juice was, very indeterminate. That said, it was nice and you could have as much as you wanted.
