Pub hotel in quiet village. Entry and reception via the pub. The room was a good size, bright and smart with a window over the courtyard; lots of birdsong. Clean, newly furnished with a comfortable double bed. Clean, crisp white linen and good pillows. Two drawer side table and two bedside chest of drawers with lamps. Tele, tea/coffee making facilities. Comfy chair and mirror. Fair sized en suite shower room and toilet. Shower gel. Plenty of good large fluffy white towels. Shower cubicle large. Everything beautifully clean and shiny. Hairdryer. For the less mobile; the room is up some narrow steep stairs. Downstairs is a nice friendly pub with restaurant attached. Very good food and two Grainstore ales. Breakfast was good with juice, cereals, traditional or vegetarian breakfast, toast & tea or coffee. Free parking. Friendly & helpful staff.

No biscuits nor WIFI code in the room. The payment facilities crashed during the evening and there was much discussion and texts to the owner as how to pay; all in good humour. The carpet in the bedroom is new and catches on the bottom of the door. Beware when pulling the door to from the outside as the door handle is very close to the doorjamb.

Lovely pub/hotel and location. Fantastic views. We stayed just the one night. Food and drink was great and room was excellent. Really enjoyed our weekend getaway. Plus we had lovely weather to boot.

They had staffing issues shortly after we arrived and the manageress had to go to care for her poorly child. The chef took over the bar serving drink but it was all a little bit messy with him not really knowing how to work the till. In-between cooking and trying to serve drinks. The prices varied even thou we ordered the same drinks again but various locals joined in to serve as well I people watch always have....the chef needs to concentrate on his job and not spend time mostly in the carpark chatting with a full restaurant of people wanting food. That was my only gripe the chef suffered from delusion of gradure sadly.

Really lovely small hotel, very clean, really nicely decorated in keeping with the lovely building. It has a really nice atmosphere and relaxing feel about it. The room was comfortable with everything needed. The shower was excellent. Everyone working there was very friendly and helpful. We ate dinner and breakfast there and the food was excellent.

Nothing to not like.

All the staff were very friendly. The menu had a varied selection, and the food was excellent. Everyone was very helpful. This is a proper independently run hotel the sort of jewel we should all look out for and spend our money on rather than the large corporate places.

Very minor groan the room was a little small, but had everything we needed.

We had a lovely stay! Staff were attentive and very welcoming. The evening meal was absolutely exceptional! Some of the best food we have ever eaten! We hope to come back because we had a lovely time!

Lost 1 point for the breakfast. Server was amazing, she was funny, welcoming and quirky, but the breakfast was so-so.

Very friendly proprietors and staff. The property is tastefully decorated throughout and the food was excellent.

Our room, though lovely, was very small. While ideal for an overnight stay, I would have been disappointed by the lack of space had we been booked in for longer.

It was very welcoming, staff super friendly and the food was lovely

The discrepancy with my bill, repeated emails regarding an extra payment, proof showing my full payment, apparently this is happening to a lot of people and Booking .com need to get this sorted ASAP.

Was cozy and clean, 3 mins away from Polo Club which is what we came for. The owner / manager took good care of us too! Breakfast was great.

Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived so we were late for the dinner we booked , other than that no complaint!
