Good location. Excellent accommodation. Secure parking. Friendly staff. Atmospheric well maintained old Inn. En suite bedroom to a high standard. Lunch following arrival good quality and service. Good breakfast next day.

Evening meal in the dining room was a disappointment. Dishes chosen were not up to standard and left unfinished. Management were made aware of our criticism upon checking out and was aware that it had been mentioned by staff the previous night. No refund was requested and none was offered. Finally, the bedrooms are excellent but on a "hot" night there was no air conditioning. A fan was in the room but was noisy on the lowest setting.

Ideally located for a wedding we were attending in the area. We stayed for 2 nights. Parking available on site. The room was spotless, comfy bed, large refurbished shower room, lovely toiletries, tea and coffee facilities with chef’s biscuits (nice touch). Breakfast was included in our room rate and was fab-u-lous. We also had dinner the night before the wedding and again….couldn’t fault it. Fresh produce, great choice and yummy desserts. Every single one of the staff we met were attentive and friendly. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Lovely pub and rooms in Annex to a really high specification. Accomidation is also a really high quality restaurant and the food rump steak prawns hake chowder was absolutely to die for. Large selection of beers and real ales. Almost impossible to fault. Breakfast large choice and to same exacting standards.

As three cyclists had to book two rooms. Not the accommodations fault at all but could have fitted a fourth mate in at no extra cost. Maybe a lesson learnt for next year

Dinner, breakfast and bar were very good. The room, although very spacious and comfortable, was very hot. Not usually as hot in the UK, but the fan in the room wasn't sufficient. Air conditioning would improve the comfort but no doubt, bump up the room rates. The staff, bar, restaurant and breakfast were all very helpful and friendly. The location, for us was great. Half way between Portsmouth and home. A great place for a stop over.

As mentioned above, the temperature in the room.

Good selection to choose from and beautifully presented. Cooked breakfast was cooked to order and nothing was too much trouble. We had a 70th birthday party for 12 of us and everything arrived at the table together . Staff were attentive throughout the evening even though the restaurant and bar was fully booked.

We couldn’t get the towel rail to work but staff showed us how to use the heating in the bathroom to keep our towels dry.

I booked my stay at The White Horse after visiting for a drink during a previous visit here. I was not disappointed by anything at The White Horse. The staff were amazing and the rooms have been refurbished to a very high standard with quality fittings in the bathroom. The room was a very good size with a desk area for working. The food in the restaurant was excellent and good value for money. The locals that were in the bar were all very friendly and chatty. It also made a change to have Netflix as well as all Sky freeview channels - a nice touch.

There was nothing to dislike about the property.

Quiet location in pretty village. Very clean, modern room and bathroom with lots of thoughtful extras such as shaving and tooth care kits and bottled water. Excellent choice and quality of breakfast. Staff at check in and breakfast very friendly. Only one night because just there to visit family in village but would have been happy to stay longer.

The breakfast was delicious especially the home made granola. It was slightly spoilt by the instant coffee, we would have preferred a cafetierre of fresh coffee.

See above re coffee. Apart from that we could not fault the food it was excellent quality and beautifully presented.

All staff were exceptional, really professional. The whole place was clean and pleasantly decorated/furnished. The food was good both at breakfast and dinner, with a huge amount of choice.

We thought the wine list was disappointing. Also we don't like foam mattresses and pillows so that didn't work for us. We wanted to visit somewhere local on our way home but there were no brochures or information to look at. We did visit the Canal Museum on the way home and discovered there were loads of available brochures for the area.

Breakfast choices were excellent and the cooked breakfast options were high quality and freshly prepared. Attentive but not intrusive staff made for a pleasent dining experiance

Almost nothing, perhaps the weather? It was freezing cold over the period of our stay, not sure what the hotel could do about that , but the providing a warm comfortable bedroom or cosy bar certainly helped
