A lovely hotel in a village location . If wanting to go into the local towns pre book taxis as we struggled however the hotel were more than accommodating with anything we requested or needed. Food in the restaurant was excellent, woth the breakfast being cooked fresh to order with lots of choice!

As we were a ground floor room our window did have garden seating right outside, this did mean Friday night we closed our window as guests were having a drink right outside. It wasn't a major issue, considering the venue is a pub so to be expected however if it was qn especially busy evening we may have struggled to settle so easy.

The location and country feel setting, convenient to Crewe Station and The Grange kennel, where we dropped off our dog before booking in.The decor of restaurant and bar area and the breakfast included was well presented and tasty.The bathroom although small -shower was good and large heated towel rail ensured dry towels & face cloth! Iron ,ironing board was used and thankful provided in room. Wish had warmer sunny weather to enjoy the lovely front outdoor garden seating..perhaps next time!

My husband felt mattress needed replacing thus not comfortable. Would have like bottled water provided in the room. Shower room was a bit too small ! Although realize cannot be changed due to wooden floor and age of hotel heard guests above walking about on their late return!Will request an upstairs room next time.

Rhys the Food & Beverage Manager was excellent on Thursday night as I took a medical turn for the worse. He acted swiftly and decisively to ensure I was cared for completely as the Emergency medical service was called. He stayed alert throughout the night checking in on my Wife & I and looked after our small Miniature Schnauzer Poppy once the Ambulance arrived around 4am until she was collected by our Son at around 6am. We cannot rate the overall staff experience enough and will be sure to return. I have been in Hospital since Friday morning and the Staff made sure my Wife was comfortable during the last night stay and throughout the meal staying with her if required. Thanks again and full credit to Rhys & the staff.

very welcoming, lovely grounds, very clean, excellent evening meal. very friendly staff who were attentive and happy to help. the bar and dining area were lovely with plenty of seating and a good range of beverages on offer!

Fixtures and fittings felt a bit cheap, expected more from a room described as ‘superior’ which we also paid extra for. TV was quite small. we opted for the dinner, bed & breakfast option. we then had to ask what this entailed regarding dinner as it was not made explicit on booking. it turns out it was £20 per person off the evening meal - no restricted choice which was good but £20 wasn’t quite enough to cover a starter & main or a main and dessert which would have been better (surcharge for steak would have been expected!) breakfast was a bit underwhelming and served lukewarm unfortunately!

They were very accommodating; I asked for a quiet room as I had a fair bit of work to do on the laptop and they were mindful of that. I've been there a few times to eat in the evening and the food is *always* top notch! Well recommend to eat in if you're staying- attentive service, amazing food and great portions! Plentiful parking too.

Considering the age of the building, I am nitpicking here, but there are thin walls. Other than that, I can't say anything bad about my time there.

The location was perfect for what we needed. The staff were really friendly and helpful! the manager was super accommodating and checked us in with no issues. we woke up very late and missed breakfast but pastries and drink were provided to us. The room was spacious and modern and very comfortable. would stay here again!

No real negatives about the property. The only thing we didn’t like was housekeeping came into our room well before check-out but this could have been a mistake.

The location was great and the outside are was lovely. Staff were very nice and it was clean . Good menu too.

Coffee at breakfast was not very hot because apparently the night porter makes it before he clocks off. Spoke to receptionist and she said this would be addressed. The ground floor rooms we were in had tiny bathrooms and not very good for people with limited mobility.

We had amazing breakfast with plenty of choices, and also great dining experience. The food was delicious, and staff were very friendly and helpful.

The springs in the matress was not so "smooth". The booking included dinner, but it was not a good idea. It makes no sense to include it in a booking because you pay 20GBP per person in advance, but you are anyway paying the bill minus the prepaid 20GBP per person. I see no benefit at all to pay in advance, and you even might lose if you did not spend 20 per person. This is also not known by some staff, and is poorly explained. It took a long time to get these things sorted out at check-out. Anyway, that is not so bad. Overall it was a very enjoyable stay. Without this, I would consider to give a 10.

The location was what we were looking for and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We had dinner there too which was really nice and the prices for food and drink were pretty keen. If you’re looking for a village with more life and facilities then this is not for you…but if you want a nice place to put your head down and enjoy good food then this is ideal. We chose it for the location to the Road network for our onward trip and we’re not disappointed. Plenty of space for eating and drinks outside with a cosy and contemporary space indoors as well. Plenty of free on site parking too! We would definitely come back.

We had no fault with the hotel or it’s facilities. The staff were helpful and welcoming so no issues from us.

It was clean. The staff were very friendly.

There is no separate lounge. The menu was quite basic and more pub food than hotel. I was served a steak pie that was so hard I could not cut the in to it, the gravy to accompany it was poured all over the plate instead of in a gravy boat. I sent it back. Apparently it was the last one, so I order a different pie. By the time it arrived (this time with the gravy in a boat) my husband had finished his meal, this really upset me. I spoke to the receptionist, possibly thought I may be given some kind of reduction for the all the upset, but no! Not sure we will return or recommend.
