Excellent location, next to Crewe station. Value for money. Located near restaurants and amenities. Staff friendly and welcoming. Staff provided information about the history of the hotel and local information for where to eat, when asked. We had arrived too late to have dinner at the hotel. Lovely historic building with interesting history and dating back to 1837. There is a tunnel from the hotel into Crewe station which was built for Queen Victoria, to use when she stayed at the hotel. The hotel has period features, including a large period fireplace in reception. The architecture, period features, decor and rooms add to its unique charm. It reminded us of an Agatha Christie set and stepping back in time. We loved the character and charm of the hotel.

Easy to find. Great location for the railway station. Free parking. Comfy bed. Friendly reception staff
Breakfast food was OK but experience was chaotic. At least one coach party was present, so I was told the night before that my table would be in the bar, rather than normal dining area, and it would be marked with my room number. It wasn't so marked. I had to go and find a member of staff in the dining area and was told to go a sit back in the bar as my breakfast would be coming, but at no point explained that I could help myself to toast, juice etc. By the time my cooked breakfast came and I decided to go back and get toast etc myself, the room was so overwhelmed with coach parties that I gave up and left after consuming my cooked breakfast. This experience wasn't horrendous, but it could have been better

The location is excellent if you're travelling by train - the hotel is directly opposite Crewe Station and just a few minutes away from the platform. It's an old building but has been well looked after and the room I stayed in was very fresh. Well sized, with plenty desk space and a very comfortable bed. I was only there for a quick overnight but would have been happy staying for longer.
It comes with the territory, but there was a lot of noise audible in the room. Trains (unsurprisingly) but also a lot of traffic noise and sirens. I stirred a few times through the night because of this, more sensitive sleepers might have more trouble. I don't think there's much the hotel themselves can do about it, given their location.

I booked a single room for two nights towards the end of June. The Reception team was friendly and advised me about the parking arrangements when I arrived. You can park anywhere, but must give your registration at reception to avoid being issued any parking charges. Direct access to the hotel is from the car park at the back and another pedestrian entrance at the front. I was allocated room 111 which is a short walk from the lift at the back of the hotel. It’s a corner room so has three windows and is light and airy. it’s a very spacious room and could accommodate a double bed. There is a large desk, and a fan was provided which was great on the warm days. The bed was comfortable, if a little soft for me. Tea and coffee-making facilities are provided. The wardrobe has ample storage, and there is a separate bathroom with a full bath and with a shower over. The room is spotlessly clean. It’s a quiet room and also in a quiet area. Despite being close to the train station, you could hardly hear any noise. It was a five-minute walk to local takeaways and about a 20-minute walk to the town centre. There is a Tesco Express around the corner which is great for Food and drink. The hotel also has an on-site bar with a selection of bottled and canned drinks, including alcohol. I’m told this range is due to expand shortly. I would stay here again in future.
The bed was comfortable, if a little soft for me.

Myself and Husband stayed last night as we got married at the hotel 10 years ago. We booked for our anniversary and to reminisce. Staff went all out, with balloons, a bottle of fizz, a card and personalised letter congratulating us on our mile stone. Our room was big, clean, so comfortable. Bath with shower. Yes, they need modernising, but for us, was just lovely. Then topped off with a set table for two for our evening meal, a menu made for our anniversary. Food was delicious. The breakfast, again top notch. Thank you for everything. Fantastic service.

Staff courteous & friendly. An old building which has been renovated in reception area, with the remainder of the building in a reasonable state of repair. Room was larger than standard with all the usual facilities in working order, although some fixtures require updating. Bed comfortable. Excellent breakfast was provided with the cost of the room. Was used by me, as an overnight stay as it is very close to Crewe railway. station
Floorboards throughout the room were very uneven & squeaky. Guess it comes with the age of the building, but does need attention.

I couldn't believe how nice this place has become since the refurb you don't notice it so much from the outside when you look inside every detailhas been carefully restored, the colour scheme is fantastic, the rooms large and comfortable, the bed... well put it this way it was the best sleep I had in six weeks, the room cleaned to perfection.
The quality Breakfast finished too early and you have to pre-book it, I guess that will change though as It Gets busier

Needed somewhere to stay near railway station and we're very pleasantly surprised. Large, neat rooms with spacious bathroom. WiFi and TV worked fine. Lift to help with pram. Located just outside railway station. Friendly staff. Second stay in Crewe, first at this hotel, and we would stay here again. Thank you.
Keen to clean. But I did ask the cleaner not to go in because the wife was still getting dressed, but she went in anyway.

Hotel could not fault anything about our stay, our room was clean beds very comfortable, staff very helpful from tel enquiry , mark when we checked in was lovely.we had asked for a room to see the railway for my son Train spotting and they did not disappoint, the hotel looked to be quite quiet which is a shame as in it's hay day it would deffo be the place to stay, we will definitely be back Thanks for a lovely time .

Close to train station/easily accessible. Located on the main street. Room and toilet were clean. Friendly staff. Good value for money
Hotel can be noisy for people as train station was nearby, but it did not bother us that much and flooring was squeaky as building is old, but it does not disturb during sleep. Further, there was no air-conditioning in room, but a fan was available.
