The grounds of the hotel were exceptional. Our room was basic, an odd layout with the bed having one side against a wall. It was clean but in need of an update in some areas.
The bed was in an odd position in the room with one side against the wall. The pillow was lumpy, and the bed wasn't overly comfortable.

Room was lovely and spacious, the grounds are beautiful and quiet and we had a lovely stay. The facilities were great, the 2x water bottles each were a nice touch. It would have been nice to have some herbal teas. Dinner was lovely a touch expensive but delicious and the staff at the evening meal were lovely. Breakfast was a 7 out of 10, it was a buffet style and I was expecting a buffet service plus an a la cart menu with a variation of eggs and maybe a big protein greek natural yoghurt, ( there were small flavoured yoghurt) would be nice for those that would like a protein boost in the morning without eating meat. The only thing that bothered me was that the room next door had a light on all night. The light seeped through all the edges of door as its an interlinking door between the two rooms. I tried to block up- to no avail , so the stream of light coming into my room did affect my sleep. It would have been nice to be able to get tea and coffee in the open rooms - not sure of the name of the room but like a morning room and the fires lit would give a cosy and invited atmosphere, also a local map of walks in the welcome folder would be great. Plus the menu from the restaurant could be popped in there too.

Gorgeous hotel in beautiful setting. The room was a good size, comfortable with toiletries provided. I really enjoyed the breakfast with a window seat over the canal. Very nice modern bar in the conservatory - and make sure you eat at the Canal View restaurant. The food tasted amazing, lots of choice and presentation pretty. All the staff were friendly and welcoming.
The Grange is a little walk away from the reception/ restaurant/bar and it was covered in wet leaves, so a bit dangerous to walk. It's also not lit with any lights! They were out of NZ White wine by the glass which was disappointing. Although the staff were really apologetic and friendly. The lighting in the room is dreadful. Bring a torch :)

As a small business owner who travels a lot with work, I tend to look for lower cost hotels. For the price, this hotel is excellent value to money. Yes it’s not a 5 star but you are not paying 5 star prices. The staff are so lovely, my room was clean and a great size. Yes it was a little tired but it was still nice. The breakfast and dinner were fantastic, the grounds lovely. I wasn’t in the main building so I checked in before parking and then just jumped in my car to move to the car park near my room.
It needs a bit of an update but it didn’t impact my stay.

The staff where extremely helpful and friendly, I had real trouble with my car rental company and staff let me use the reception's phone for the entire day (anyone seeing this review please I strongly recommend DO NOT USE TURO) and the night shift reception guy Richard was a real life saver giving me a lift to a proper car rental company in the morning so I could get on with my holiday and even packed me a full lunch for the Goodwood festival of speed. The place itself was lovely, excellent breakfast with a wide variety of food to choose from, loved the pond they had with the ducks and deers, and they had a lovely pub at the property.
Everything was exceptional, can't say anything bad

The grounds are beautiful very picturesque. Breakfast was good and catered for all of our family. The staff were generally good.
Some help with our cases when we arrived, would have been nice! When we booked we were unaware that the 'Grange Rooms' were not actually in the main building, this could have been clearer upon booking. We arrived a family of 4 with 4 cases - having dragged them over the gravelled carpark. To be told that the room was a 5 minute walk or we could put our bags back into our car. Outside the main house was 3 golf carts which I am sure could have been used to help us with our cases. Once arriving at The Grange there was nobody there to help us and we wander around with 4 cases trying to find our room!

This hotel offers a lovely stay with its picturesque grounds, perfect for a peaceful retreat. The location is convenient, with easy access to the car park, making arrival and departure hassle-free. The room was cosy and inviting, with a comfortable bed that ensured a restful night's sleep.
The hotel breakfast was a disappointing experience. Despite paying £15, we weren't checked in properly, leading to confusion and delays. The self-service area was awkwardly laid out and overcrowded, making it difficult to navigate. The coffee machine was out of order, and despite the promise of service, no staff were available to assist or serve coffee. The seating was cramped, with tables too close together, adding to the discomfort. Overall, the breakfast felt chaotic and poorly managed, far from the relaxing start to the day we had hoped for. Definitely not worth the price.

After a long journey from Australia I was happy to enjoy the peace and quite walking around the beautiful grounds.
One restaurant with a wonderful view served Indian food only. It would have been nice to sit and have a drink and a snack enjoying the view. However I had to sit in a very uncomfortable bar, no view. I ate out and stayed in my room. I did have a club sandwich in the bar but the chef had no idea of how that should be so not catering to uk taste at all. And the Indian restaurant was empty every night. I think they make their money on Indian weddings. The hotel could be soooo much more.

Hotel was beautiful located in acres great place to explore.
When arrived at check in time room was not ready for another 45 mins so had to wait . There was a wedding at the hotel which was in the marquee away from the hotel - we were staying at the grange room a separate building lovely but I felt the room was a little small and warm due to weather - fan was not sufficient to keep room cool .Not instructed where location of breakfast was at check in - as kept waiting. I felt a comp drink would of been nice - as I worked for a hotel chain myself previously I appreciate when you have a big event on it is harder however other guests still should experience a fulfilled stay too. Food was lovely I think the staff were good but could of been more pro active and informative .

Lovely gardens with a pond populated with some rather fine looking white duck. It's well worth a walk round. The bar is lovely and whilst the restaurant wasn't to my taste I could see that the food was well made and other guests were effusive with their praise. The bar's food is more your typical pub fare but great portions and well executed. Even The staff were kind and attentive. The manger or maître d checked in multiple times. It's a high quality establishment.
Not a big thing. I was down at the grange and the vending machines are difficult to work and mostly empty.
