Excellent location, a very comfortable room with great facilities.

Just small things but there was only one cup in the kitchen, so we had to drink our beverages one after the other and there was no tea towel to wipe up. The lighting in the bathroom and on the mirror was not bright enough to apply make up and there was no mirror near a plug socket in the bedroom/kitchen I could use to sit and style my hair and apply make up before going out. I always take a mirror with me, as it’s a common problem in hotels, but it could be made more convenient with simple changes.

It’s a really relaxed place. We were met by Peter who was very welcoming. Our room was spacious and quiet with a very comfy bed and lovely modern bathroom. We also had a mini kitchen which we didn’t make use of but would be very handy for making your own breakfast or lunch. The Kingsley has a real laid back casual feel to it which we really enjoyed. The staff were there if you needed them but otherwise we were left to our own devices. It reminded us of many places we had stayed in Spain. Lovely courtyard too for sitting out with coffee or a drink.

We both really enjoyed our stay and also Chico. Peter 1 and Peter 2 are wonderful hosts. They looked after us very well. Nothing was any trouble at all. Peter made us fantastic cocktails, too. Very enjoyable evening spent in their cosy, dining room, bar with them. Played some wonderful old games which are there also. Absolutely great fun. Thank you for our wonderful stay. ❤️

There was only one thing that was a bother to us personally, and that was our bed was too small. But it is our personal preference to have a king-size bed. The bed was comfortable but just too small. As I said personal to us. XO

Peter (number two) was very polite & helpful at check in & showed us our room which was spacious & well designed. We requested a drink in the bar / reception area & they were waiting for us when we returned. This area was also spacious with a pleasant ambience. This is also the dining area, and we enjoyed a very nice breakfast in the morning. There was no ruch with checkout @ 11.00 am.

Nothing. Very clean spacious accommodation,. The house is steeped in history and Peter (number two), was very knowledgeable of the area. As our stay was in mid January it was dark when we arrived, having been to a long afternoon family party, so we did not appreciate the courtyard until the morning. An excellent space in the summer we would imagine.

I've stayed here before and always find it friendly and comfy.

It would be good if the soap/shampoo could be provided in little bottles or similar. The sachets provided have to be cut with scissors which is inconvenient when you are in the shower already. In the room I stayed in, there are no shelves or dishes to put these on while you are showering, so everything ends up on the floor.

Fabulous room and facilities. The owner and manager were amazing guys. Get them talking about local history. It's so interesting. Breakfast was amazing. I arrived late, and the owner made me toast with his home-made damson jam. This is my hotel of choice in the area from now on.

There was nothing to dislike.

The property was very clean and quite lovely with a lovely courtyard garden. I liked that they use solar water heating. You have to run the water for a few minutes before it gets hot, but that’s okay by me.

I wasn’t in love with the stairs as I have bad knees. The room was quite hot but thankfully there was a good fan.

we had a ground floor room with a patio , which opened up to a large secluded garden ,which was ideal for the children , and for us to have a relaxing time. We were there for a wedding nearby , and stayed as a party of 8 ,in 4 rooms ,( with 2 children,) the two peters were so kind and helpful , they let the children play Petanque in the courtyard which they loved, the courtyard was very pretty , with tables and chairs and a perfect place for a relaxing glass of wine. the rooms were lovely, nice clean crisp bedding, with large and very modern bathrooms. We had dinner, which was freshly cooked by Peter No 1 and delicious, breakfast also was very good and freshly prepared for each of us.

it is such a great place: the owner is so friendly and attentive, quirky rooms with many helpful features, such as fully equipped kitchenettes, which we didn't even expect.good breakfast. we were very happy and simply didn't want to go home, as it felt like home)) we took pictures of your climbing plants in a bid to have something similar in our garden, gorgeous!

nothing to complain about. my daughter's who stayed in another room complained about a snorer and a cougher next door, who kept waking her up at 4am, but the world is full of them, what do you expect

Essentially this is a B&B, not a full blown all singing, all dancing hotel, but as long as you know this you shouldn't be disappointed. Breakfast was just right for us, the room (No.3) was a decent size with a clean bathroom with a good shower, comfy bed and enough storage space for a long weekend of walking and pubbing (there are 7 pubs within walking distance of the hotel, the furthest being 2 miles away, the nearest just a few hundred yards down the road, all of which do food). There was plenty of parking on site. Our host, Peter 2, was very friendly and helpful, and being a genuine local, he was able to give us a few ideas for our walks. Be aware, there's very little street lighting in some parts, so some of the roads are very dark at night, maybe get a taxi back from the further pubs if it's late (and you're a bit squiffy!). So we did 7 pubs, 2 churches, Eversley Barn Antiques, and a maze of woodland and riverside walks, ate and drank far too much, but thoroughly enjoyed our gloriously sunny long weekend exploring Eversley and Finchamstead.
