I didn't have breakfast. They made me a packed lunch as it was served to late.

I didn't sleep the first night as the room next door had the TV on all night. I even hammered on the door to get him to turn it off but no avail

It’s “ oldy worldy “ some may say old fashioned decor, set on the side of a large green with an amazing view of beautiful cottages and scenery a 5 minute walk to a lovely waterfall Room to park on the green The housekeeper does a good job of keeping it clean our beds seemed new and comfortable And every member of staff was very friendly- nothing was too much trouble There was a good selection of fresh food on the menu and included a full English breakfast

Nothing as it was perfect for our walking break It may not be modern enough for some people (not us)

Great location, a lovely town and just what we expected from an English country Pub. The atmosphere in the Pub was fantastic, the lots of choices of beer on tap which was cold (perfect for Aussies!!) and the food was very good, especially the beef casserole for dinner. Breakfast was lovely with a cooked breakfast, toast with jam/marmalade, OJ, tea and coffee. The room was lovely in the roof loft. We had two single beds which were a little hard for us but we were only there for one night. Overall it was excellent and very good value for money. We really enjoyed our stay at the Fox and Hounds and would recommend to others.

We didn't dislike anything.

Pub with rooms in a tiny Yorkshire village with exceptional countryside views. Good Yorkshire hospitality with good Yorkshire food at Yorkshire prices and a friendly welcome. Staff were great, lent us an ironing board to iron our wedding clothes. Everything was what we expected. Fine and cosy enough for a weekend and good value.

Small things, nothing major. Shower wasn't great but it did work well enough. One of the other rooms we hired had a problem with the heating so they lent us an extra heater for the room.

Like something out of a 70s film.Traditional old fashioned place which has been adapted over many years: absolutely lovely but don't go there looking for a modern 'Premiertravelodge'. The food was fantastic and excellent value. Lovely location overlooking a large village green. Will visit again.

I know it's a country pub but I personally am not keen on so many dogs in the small bar area but pleased they were not permitted in the restaurant.

. What an unusual, pretty, quiet village. Absolutely off the main road and with no through roads out of it. The architecture was unusual, especially on the left side going up past the village green. The houses were apparently built on a plan, complementing each other, but noone could say why or when they were built like that. Some suggested they were built as miner's cottages but they looked too grand for that The other thing. Don't!! miss the waterfall, a gentle walk before breakfast

Nothing not to like

Great location and very friendly staff. While the rooms could do with an update, there were no issues with everything comfy and functional. All in a great couple of nights spent here.

Great little village pub. Friendly people. No nonsense and very quiet. Great breakfast. They let us park our motorbikes in the courtyard to keep them safe. Spot on. Would stay again

No issues at all with the pub. The village was quieter than I realised with only one pub but that's not an issue

Great location. Very quiet room. Very clean. Tasty, varied, no nonsense food available in the evening. Breakfast was beautifully cooked. Good choice of alcohol in the bar

Wobbly bed. Ok if neither partner moved!
