location excellent, pleasant decir, big carpark

Computer self-check-in. Not good enough for a big hotel. 3 fire alarms - one in each of 3 days. There was no public address after any to say "false alarm" etc. 3rd event was at 1.20am. No word from management at all. All the rooms in our cluster discussed it then went back to bed, despite smoke smell from forest fires nearby. There should have been Management announcement. Is there even a live-in concierge? Thus is just dangerous, let alone unprofessional.

Big size of bed, easy to find, good location, 7 mins driving from forth Williams centre, free parking, warm and clean room. Quick check in with a machine.

there was no staff or any human being from the hotel to ask a question, just the machine. It would be good if there was anyone in reception at least during the day ro help the clients.

The purpose of our trip was to climb Ben Nevis, therefore location and comfort were really important. The hotel ticked those boxes perfectly, it felt homely and the staff were so friendly and did everything to accommodate what we needed. The food was very good, fresh and a variety to choose from. The setting is perfect because you can sit outside and soak in the beautiful views. Very pet friendly.

We understand that times are tough and the importance of automating as many processes as possible, however because check in is electronic, you do need to make sure you read the leaflet on the dressing table and in the book supplied. We totally missed the fact that you have to hang out your 'service my room' sign if you definitely want it cleaned, it won't be done automatically. In the scheme of things a small point because the big things were just right. It would be helpful if the check in system could prompt guests to ensure they fully read the info as some things may be a little different to other hotels.

We had a family suite which was just perfect, this consisted of two bedrooms, a living room and a bathroom which was amazing as we were travelling with our baby so he could sleep in the other room and we could watch tv whilst he slept. It was incredibly dog friendly and they left treats and a little message which was so cute. The staff were so friendly and helpful, especially in the restaurant where they entertained our baby and the lady at breakfast was so good with him.

Only a few minor things: 1. the windows in the room were so high, so you couldn't really see out them and it was a bit of a warren to get to the room 2. the bathroom in the family suite - it had a really good shower, but a bath might be helpful for those travelling with small children. 3. it was odd that a hotel in such a beautiful location didn't really have a view or outlook onto it.

The location is great and surrounding area is nice and quiet. Plenty of parking spaces. The food is lovely we only had the breakfast as we paid for this with the booking plenty of options the Scottish breakfast was nice. The staff are very friendly and very polite. The shower was good and the fluffy towels was a bonus.

Our room wasn’t what I was expecting the hotel it’s a little dated and could do with a freshen up ie painting and new curtains and just brightening up not sure who rates these hotels but I don’t really think it’s a 4*. Unfortunately we didn’t get a great view from our room but this wasn’t really an issue as it’s just a place to get your head down.

We booked the room with a balcony , lovely large room with an amazing view of Neptunes staircase , really comfortable big bed and a gorgeous shower room . the reception needs modernised to bring it up to how the rest of the hotel looks . Staff are just lovely , very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was fantastic , large choice for a hot breakfast and the continental breakfast choices were really good too , choice of drinks at the bar are good too .

Self check in , except it didn’t work and had to speak to someone who sorted out our room key , hotels are all about expecting a good customer service experience and a self check in isn’t bringing a personal experience , I would get rid of that and bring back the person touch .. Dinner menu was disappointing, menu was printed on an A4 sheet of paper .. a bit cheap looking for such a lovely hotel

Staff were great, breakfast was good plus bot not excellent. Why do Hotels make you cook your own toast on those things from the Dinner Ladies and so slow. Room was very good and bathroom facilities as well. All clean etc

First impressions are always important and you walk in to what you think is reception but you see nothing except a computer which asks you to log yourself in. I would much rather be able to speak to someone at a counter and then the machine didn't work so I had to find an extremely helpful member of Staff. I know i'm being picky but first impressions and all that but otherwise great place to stay.

The view (Executive Double Room) was stunning (boats, canal, mountain). We like the site of the hotel, although it is a few miles to Fort William and his advantages (we are travelling per bus - every 30 minutes and train - 2 - 3 times a day). Bus station and train station are a 5 minutes walk! We tested also Hi-Bike (rent a e- bike for 30 minutes/2.50). A highlight was the spontanous possibility for an early check-in on a rainy day ...

Breakfast situation is a little bit complicated, but the fresh served warm breakfast is good!)

Looked a little outdated from outside and even going up to the room but our room was fabulous and we had a lovely view. Self check in was handy we were so tired and didn't want to que up and fill out forms. Restaurant staff all very nice and the man on reception who we spoke to briefly. The place we stayed in after the Moorings was awful and we wished we had of booked the 3 nights in moorings not just 1

Food finished up quite early. 815 is early to us as we were driving and travelling and not arriving to our hotels untill late but they squeezed us in and we had an okay dinner. Drinks on the decking were fabulous 👌

The location and the evening meal was good

Some of the staff weren't very qualified the breakfast wasn't that great especially the continental breakfast no fresh bread and the cheese was in plastic so no fresh bread or cheese or coffee they wanted you to pay for fresh coffee which for a 4 star hotel is not good any other one I have stayed in breakfast to a much higher standard also breakfast check in on first day was not good I had 2 rooms booked for 2 couples and they couldn't find us on the list then asked if we were all in one room then another staff member had to come and help it wasn't good also they didn't come in and clean or replace tea's and coffee next day I also reported a broken lock on window and it wasn't fixed not good customer service
