We visited this accommodation in the middle of renovations of an adjacent building. It was an ordeal trying to find where to check in as we were confronted by no-entry signs related to building. as it turned out, this was the road we had to follow to Reception. Our room was large and in fact had two ensuite toilet/shower rooms! Double bed was comfortable and had a good sleep

Our room was rather “tired” with a ageing carpet and damage to walls at doorways. Dinner options at property are rather limited with dinner starting at a whopping £145 each!!! Alternative is a 4 mile drive to Fort William. On arrival and departure we shared the staircase with removalists moving furniture etc. Hopefully this is not always the case.

Was disappointed in the cleanliness of the room. I usually comment very positively on my accommodation - and I do here - but the toilet seat was stained with drips from an earlier user, the bath towel was also stained and a cup hadn't been washed properly. Minor issues but they surprised me as everything else was clean, tidy and comfortable. I assume it was merely a glitch and uncommon.

The rooms were beautiful, and the largest rooms we have stayed in so far (after 10 days of travel).

There was no option to cool the rooms. The windows couldn’t be open because of midges, there was no fan or air conditioning, and to sleep there was no sheet option (like everywhere in UK, there is just a doonah or nothing).

Friendly staff, good sized room with two bathrooms, quiet location away from town but not too far to drive to shops etc. We had the place to ourselves which was nice. Enjoyed the nearby hotel grounds as well as dinner and breakfast. Wifi wasn't working when we arrived but was fixed the next day.

Communal kitchen was closed, could do with a small fridge in the room.

Internet did not work, could not get kettle to work. Although I mentioned I would leave before 7 on checkout day, there was no staff available to check me out before 7.

Lovely comfortable beds - very soft and squishy

Only a metal Venetian blind at the window as you’d have in an office. Very strange and out of keeping with everything else. Plus the room was too light in the early morning. Would have been nice to have a small fridge with fresh milk for the price too! Our luggage was dropped at the hotel but the staff were unable to take it to the Factors Inn.

We were upgraded to the Factor’s Inn and loved it. Location excellent if you have a car, room very spacious, bed super comfy. Lovely and quiet here too. Easy check in at the Castle.

We were a bit confused that we had to check in at another hotel down the road. Our hotel was completely unstaffed and it would have been comforting to know there were staff on site.

Lovely grounds to walk the dog, very peaceful, although near a main road you do not hear the traffic in the room and enabled a very peaceful sleep.

As this is a room only accommodation and pets are not allowed in the castle it would be helpful to have a small fridge in the room to keep drinks cool as the room did get hot in the afternoon.

Good location. Excellent staff at the castle. Lots of parking. Really easy access and check in. Nice big rooms. Had dog bowls and blanket for the dog.

The property and the rooms are very dated, could do with modernisation. No housekeeping but that was fine for me. Could hear other guests through the walls.
