Lovely clean place, very nice room looking over the mountains. efficient staff, plenty of parking for my car transporter,
My only gripe was the breakfast, and I know I shouldn't moan, as its hard to supply a really nice breakfast for just 5-6-7 guests. The cereals, fruit, milk, juices were all great, but my cooked breakfast was a bit overdone. My 1 small piece of bacon was like carboard, my egg was hard and also crispy on the bottom, and my 1 sausage was also in the warmer to long as it was hard and dry. I know its picky but it does not take 2 mins to rattle up a fresh egg and bacon. As a driver I'm in hotels all the time and look forward to my big cooked breakfast. This was the only thing that let it down or I would have give it a perfect 10.

The stay was excellent! The rooms were clean, well-lit and airy. It was an incredible stay. The lady manager went above and beyond for us. The location was also perfect. An hourish away from most tourist destinations.
Breakfast and dinner timings were a very narrow window. Breakfast was just between 8-9AM while dinner closed at 9PM. Options were also limited. I believe the inn is frequented by locals (as they should) however it made us feel like we were out of place. The constant staring and sometimes even pointing made us feel both unsafe as well as cornered. For context, we're a brown couple! This however is part of a larger problem, not really the inn's fault. The staff and managers made us feel safe.

We chose this stay for the location as we were leaving the Isle of Skye and heading towards Ben Nevis. I appreciate the Scottish yet modern touches decor style. Overall nice, clean, cozy, comfy room. Very comfy bed. They accommodated a late check in when we unexpectedly arrived late due to a hike taking longer than planned (which we appreciate!). Breakfast to order and some items to grab on the table is nice. Free easy parking.
I messaged as soon as I knew our updated arrival time and kept checking during our 3 hour drive but received no response. I was told they tried calling but I had no missed calls, it could have been due to poor reception in areas. If they messaged back, I could have seen the message when I had better reception in areas, it would have been nice to know it was still ok to arrive because we were stressing the entire drive. The stay was lovely besides that miscommunication. Wifi in the lobby was a bit slow, took a while for pages to load.

We had a lovely supper and drinks but did not wait for breakfast next morning. Really can't fault it at all! Room had full heating plus a spare electric heater if required... tv worked and there was plenty of coffee sachets and tea etc.
Our only bugbear is the policy of raising prices in summer. We feel this is blatant profiteering and means we cannot make regular reservations - if the prices remained the same low level throughout the year, we would possibly make one visit per month! Also it seems nobody monitors or responds to emails, despite the address appearing on the hotel's card???

The location was quite good, about 20 minutes by car to the start of the Mountain Trail to Ben Nevis. Breakfast was quite tasty, especially salmon and scrambled eggs. There is a bar with a huge selection of scotch.
The wifi was not working in room 102 on android phone, but it was working on iphone. Upon going back from day out on the second day I was met at the reception by a grumpy cook who wasn't very friendly. In room 102, the shower is leaking.

Exactly as described. We stayed here during a motorbike trip for one night. Lovely bar with gluten free beer on tap which was a nice surprise! Food for both breakfast and dinner was great, nice seating outside if you get the weather for it and a lovely walk directly across from the inn. Comfy beds and clean!
Shower was a bit unstable and didn’t stay up. Was fine for me (5ft 1) but difficult for my partner (6ft 2).

The Stronlossit is run by the down to earth friendly sunny Gabriel, his wife and their little boy and they do an AMAZING job! The room we stayed in was a beautiful refurbished room. VERY spacious and a lovely bathroom. The inn is a bit outdated but you can tell it was a very luxurious hotel when it was built. Everything is very well preserved so it might not be your taste, but its not a mess. Its just a time-machine :) Location just outside of Fort William, away from the busy roads was perfect as well. Nice, specially prepared breakfast and a great bar and restaurant with lots of locals dropping in.
Our stay here was too short :)

The rooms were great and scrupulously clean. The bedding and towels were luxurious and top quality. The staff were so friendly, attentive and helpful. The food was brilliant quality. And the location, just a few minutes by car from Fort William, was great too. There’s even a railway station 100m away if you’re travelling by rail….
Theres nothing wrong with the exterior appearance (a bit alpine ski lodge like), but it might set an initial expectation that is completely blown away by the experience once inside….

A good location out of Fort William with ample on site parking and restaurant. It was very well maintained and although our room was small, the bathroom had been well refurbished & the bed was very comfortable. The busy restaurant offered a good menu choice and although only staff were waiting they were incredibly efficient and courteous. Breakfast was perfectly adequate too with friendly service.
Nothing really, it was all pleasant and we would stay there again en route to the south.

Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. We arrived late and missed our dinner reservation by over an hour. Dinner service should have just closed but they kindly fitted us in and served us up an excellent meal. Room was very clean and comfortable with a great power shower, well needed after a day in the mountains. We will definitely use this hotel again.
Nothing.
