The breakfast staff in this hotel are so welcoming with an exceptional hospitality that we never saw before. A special thanks to the lady in the restaurant she is sooo nice and kind 😁

The lady in the reception was rude, however the gentleman that came at 3 pm was kind and nice. If you need an early check in better to email them in advance otherwise you will have to wait till clock hits 3 pm 🥲

A nice room with a super comfortable bed, the location near the beautiful Kelvingrove Park (which we chose especially because we were going to a Siouxsie concert that was being organised there), the magnificent Kelvingrove Art Gallery and the Glasgow University. We also loved the plants and flowers at the hotel entrance.

Small things/suggestions: it would be good to have a small fridge in the rooms for guests’ use. Breakfast: we’d love some raw vegetables at breakfast (like cucumbers, tomatoes, red peppers). The bathtub with hydromassage/jaccuzzi would have been wonderful after a long day, but unfortunately our bath plug was out of order.

Beautiful, clean, comfortable and spacious room. Room 306 large bathroom too. Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff. Quick and easy check in and out. Free parking unavailable when we arrived at half 4. But plenty of street parking right across the road.

On street car parking was not at a reduced rate like other hotels/b&bs we've stayed at in the area so cost about £10 pounds for just over an hour one day and then 2 and half others the next morning. Also meant setting timer to get up early to pay for parking. Curtains not fully black out. Lobby lights through the whole night and shined threw the cracks in the door into the room. Both these things together made the room abit lighter than I'd prefer usually.

We only stayed for the night. We came up for the Blink 182 concert at the OVO Hydro. When we got to Glasgow we got news that the concert was postponed, which put a real dampener on our trip. We decided to stay as we had travelled up from Bristol, and we were so glad we did stay. From the offset the hotel staff were friendly, very informative and helpful. The family room we stayed in was very roomy with great facilities. The beds were really comfy. The hotel and room was very clean. The breakfast was amazing with a full range of foods and drinks available. We would definitely be staying here again when (hopefully) the concert date is rearranged or if we were to visit Glasgow again.

The room was very clean, a little on the small side but for 1 person just big enough. The food at the attached (vegan) restaurant was delicious along with the local beer it served. My room was near the elevator and kitchen yet I wasn't disturbed by these at all. The housekeeping were also very pleasant.

The location is directly opposite the beautiful Kelvingrove Park and a short walk from The Hydro. However if you plan to visit the West End or City Centre then it is a good 30 minutes walk to either of these places (with no nearby metro station).

Great hotel. It’s clean, comfortable and the staff are lovely, particularly the girl with the pigtails in the breakfast room ( sorry I didn’t get her name). Breakfast was great, everything you could want and as much or as little as you would want. It’s also in a great location, we were able to leave the car and jump on the bus ( stop is very close by)

Only a couple of niggles pillows were solid, not good for someone with neck problems, I had to go and buy some as was there for a few days and got zero sleep on the first night. Also no curtain or blind on bathroom window! Although it was frosted we felt as though everyone across from us could see right in when the light was on!

The breakfast bar became a veggie/vegan restaurant with excellent food. I highly recommend. I had a really tasty dish in the hotel restaurant after a long morning at the excellent Kelvingrove art gallery and museum. I also had two great breakfasts. The hotel was busy and the restaurant and breakfast staff were really friendly and welcoming. Excellent location on bus route into town and towards the airport too. I’ll stay here again given its good value and location! The room was comfortable, warm and more than adequate for my purposes. Overall I really liked this hotel.

My single room could have better had a single bed rather than a large Queen sized bed leaving little to no space within the room. There were more tartan cushions and pillows than I needed and perhaps not a warm enough quilt. I thought Marta the day time receptionist was a little under-engaging for front of house staff. A smile or a friendly word or two while doing her transactions would make a big difference. It strikes me as very odd to have front of house staff unwilling to smile or engage in a friendly way with hotel guests. All the others on the reception were great, really willing to help and inform and not so objectionable. There was no Scottish Gaelic awareness amongst the staff.

The staff were good and willing to go the extra mile, for example getting veggie options for my wife at breakfast. In fact by the end of our stay they were asking her if she wanted a veggie option. Breakfast was a good spread and set us up for the day. The ensuite was a good size, certainly more than enough room to swing a cat (not that I did just in case any Americans are reading this). The tv was actually a good size as well. A ten minute walk from the OVO.

When they say the car park is small they mean it. The on the street parking is pretty experience. Thankfully it only runs Monday to Friday 0800 - 1800. So you are probably all right on a weekend. Look I know its a bit of a first world grumble but if you are going to advertise a four poster bed... It should have drapes on it. See I told you it was a first world grumble. More than happy with everything else though.

This charming hotel is a favorite for us. The price is reasonable, the location is great, and the rooms are clean, comfy and very pleasant. The breakfast staff are pleasant and helpful, especially the very hospitable Linda. The breakfast is plentiful. When visiting Glasgow, it is also fun to be near the good restaurants on Argyll St. and also be within walking distance of The Kelvin Grove Museum and the Hunterian Museum. We were in town our second time for the excellent music festival Celtic Connections, and this hotel was our choice both times.

The reception staff is not welcoming or friendly. They are not up to the caliber of the hotel. It doesn't cost anything for a smile or pleasant greeting. We know our way around Glasgow, but no reception staff member offered to help us if needed, or acted happy we were even there. Glasgow is full of chatty, friendly folk, but none of them work here!

I stayed here recently as I was getting some work done at home and at the price, I wasn't expecting too much but I was pleasantly surprised to find that this was an excellent property. The room was clean and comfortable. All staff (especially the ones at breakfast) were polite and helpful. They really are an asset to the hotel. My only complaint was that at breakfast, link sausage was served when (going by the theme of the hotel 😉) it really should have been square slice! 😂. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property to anyone visiting Glasgow and I may well book in again the next time I visit the Hydro. Many thanks for a great stay and keep up the good work 😊
