rooms were good for the price. was a bit cold during the night even with the heater on full, however there was extra blankets in the room so I’m glad they’ve tried to do their bit to help where they can. shower was warm just takes a minute to get going, plenty of milk, tea, coffee etc. tv worked. felt very comfortable in the room and was super quiet which was also nice.

towels for shower were a quite small in my opinion so wasn’t ideal but they were clean which is the main thing

Perfect for overnight, lovely and clean, lovely shower. well thought out, good value for money. Loved the fan - much appreciated.

Just lacked shelving n bedroom and hooks in bathroom for hanging towels. Everything on the floor coz not enough surfaces. A full length mirror would be nice.

Nice clean and well appointed room, maybe on the small side for some, but perfect for my needs. Excellent and friendly staff Excellant evening meal, good choice on, menu, well cooked and served,. Tip for other visitors, booked a table with your reservation. Breakfast not available, which suited me, early start required.

Nothing negative

Great place ! Stayed for 1 night just for a break away over Easter. What a little gem we found ! The food was amazing, as was the room and facilities. The staff are really helpful and welcoming. Would highly recommend and can't wait to come back and try more food from the menu .thanks for a great stay .

The room was clean. The campsite was quiet. Staff friendly and very helpful. A walk across the campsite brings you to the footpath that runs along the river from Goole to Blacktoft RSPB reserve and beyond. Beautiful views and pretty villages.

The door to the cabin was faulty and we had to ask the owners to shut the door ( which they happily did) but the following morning we had exactly the same issue. As I wasn’t actually camping I failed to bring a table to prepare food or put drinks on. So a table would have been helpful. Especially as we arrived on Sunday and the pub doesn’t serve meals on Sunday evenings and Mondays is a pizza van.

Had evening meal which was excellent and good value for money. The cabin we stayed in was good and very clean. All the staff were friendly and very helpful.

The half moon is a great pub, staff really friendly and we stayed in the cabins which were nice with more room then you would think.

The pub could do with a bit of money spent on it and the cabins could do with a fridge.

it’s location & cost. The staff were great and very helpful in the restaurant. Great food, huge portions. couldn’t fault the staff or food on our stay.

The accommodation felt and smelt damp. We booked in to lodge 3. It was clean, although our bed legs were bent and the bed felt unstable. the kettle didn’t fit under the tap in the sink to fill it up, so we used bottled water. Neighbours were noisy. These are small things and didn’t ruin our stay at all. we would definitely book and stay again.

Easy Parking, good pub food and friendly staff

Booking.com states the property was 2.5 miles from Saltmarsh Hall but it was a 30 minutes each way in a taxi! One taxi firm quoted us £110 return. Misrepresented by booking.com
