We arrived and were welcomed by professional, helpful staff. We were checked into a room that had a few stairs to the door, however, we asked to change room as my husband has a knee injury and this was dealt with straightaway. We were then given another room that was bigger than the previous which was perfect as we’d brought our dog with us. The room change was managed professionally and efficiently so within a only few minutes, we were given the keys. We would highly recommend staying at the Green Dragon. We went to the pub on a couple of occasions and it had a great atmosphere and the food was great!

Staff are amazingly helpful. Room 5 was cosy and warm. TV and kettle and beverages, hairdryer provided tho those days have long gone for me. CCTV car park.. lovely bar and seating area. Restaurant food was amazing and brilliant service.

Rooms need a better cleaning including the walls. Dust webs layer on the walls and ceiling. I actually walked into one when I went to draw the curtains. Bits on the carpet, Paint flaking from ceiling in bathroom.. But may I say I did enjoy the stay. They just need make the room a little cleaner. May I stress I would definitely go back. And understand this is a very busy time for them.

Just two minutes off the A63, a nice pub/restaurant with lovely, friendly helpful staff. Visiting family in the area we ate & drank here throughout our stay and enjoyed the quiet village of Welton. Our room was a nice cool refuge from the heatwave outside. Our two dogs were made very welcome and they enjoyed the shaded village green & duck pond opposite the pub.

Our only issue was noise transfer within the accommodation, both from the hallway and the room above. One restless night listening to a very heavy snorer upstairs and another of some very heavy footed guests coming in late & doing goodness knows what in their room.

Booked 3 rooms for a wedding weekend. Added an extra night which was organised by the extremely competent and friendly woman in charge. This lady organised ou r taxis all weekend which due to the location were scarce and very busy. I really can't thank her enough. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful, fresh tasty food! Service prompt and no pressure to hurry. All our party would stay again. A lovely location and a fabulous team! The rooms were clean and comfortable and had everything we needed, hot drinks,biscuits,hairdryer and a large and very comfortable bed. An excellent team and a fabulous stay, thank you

We stayed 1 night with our dog, it was close to visit family in the area. Our room was in a separate annex ground floor with large double bed, bathroom with bath and shower over. It was modern and relativity clean (a few cob webs). The pub next door is good and is also dog friendly, with treats at the bar for them. We had breakfast which was good and value for money. The village it’s located in is very pretty. Will be staying again!

A little better attention to detail as there was a few cob webs here and there. The room was warm even with the windows open, maybe supply a fan in the warmer months.

Stayed here as part of our tour on the Trans Pennine Trail, arrived mid afternoon, the pub was busy. Nice friendly welcome and given our keys, the entry information clearly explained to us on arrival, and they also provided secure storage for our bikes. The room was lovely, clean and very comfortable. Tea and coffee facilities. We booked in for an evening meal and for breakfast in the morning. We had a very comfortable stay and lovely evening meal, all the staff were excellent and efficient and look forward to staying again if in the area, great value for money. They even had the stamp for our Trans Pennine Trail passports.

The location was excellent, we didn’t have the breakfast as we were visiting our son and grandaughter early morning and had breakfast with them, however I did look at the breakfast menu and it was very impressive.

The ceiling in the en-suite bathroom had obviously had some sort of flood damage ..the paint was peeling off and it didn’t look attractive

The room was lovely, king size bed, nice big bath. Plenty of lighting. We didn't have time to use the pub which looked superb, but we did have a fantastic breakfast this next morning.

We stayed in the old coach house and if I had my time again would ask for a room at the top as the people above got up early and the floorboards were creaky as befits an old building.

The atmosphere was nice at the pub, very much dog friendly (lots of snacks). The bed was supper comfy. Great location.

Down side was the slippery floor in the bathroom, lack of bottle water in the room and small collection of tea bags (only breakfast black tea, no mint or green tea). We have ordered two starters and one main, we asked for everything to be brought together, however, after receiving two starters staff forgot about the main and we waited 45min.

Loved the room size, lovely sized bed and comfortable facilities. Lovely shower and bath tub with very hot water. Lovely quiet surroundings too

Breakfast was a little disappointing in that the service was slow and maybe an error on our behalf but didn't realise it was help yourself until waitress said right at the end of us losing patience and choosing to leave after plates weren't clear for over 30 minutes.
