Amazing place. We went for our honeymoon and when we arrived the room was even better than we imagined. We stayed in Silverdale and it was perfect for a honeymoon, just so romantic with a gorgeous view. When we arrived there were 2 mini bottles of prosecco, 2 mini cupcakes and a heart shaped balloon in the room. Also a few complimentary drinks in the fridge. Great choice of breakfast which is served in the room. We had something different every day and it was all delicious. Oh also the parking permit is brilliant as you can use it at a few other places in the area. I felt like they had thought of everything. Definitely recommended this place. Thank you so much for looking after us.

Margaret gave us a fabulous, friendly welcome and she was very informative. She was really great and has literally thought of everything to make her guests relaxed and as happy as possible. Lovely thoughtful touches throughout. We were totally shocked at the size of the room and the size of the bed. It was just totally amazing with absolutely stunning views of Morecombe Bay. There is an extra dressing room and drinks area with a fridge with fresh milk and special thoughtful treats for us, of the highest quality. The Estuary is pure luxury & we were treated like Royalty. Lynn served our breakfast in our room each day and she was just lovely. Really happy, friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble for her. She works so hard but always has a smile on her face & is there for you if you need her. She was fabulous. She text directions on the day we were coming & they were such a massive help. You could not wish for a better hotel or be looked after any better. The bed is so comfortable, its perfect. The shower is so powerful and hot & the toiletries are divine. Everything is exquisite & our stay was incredible and amazing value for money. There are a lot of places to eat that are really nice but most of them close early around 4pm so on an evening you are a little bit limited if you don't want to drive. The Estuary and Amber Court Chinese are great. The promenade is great for walking and the railway station is only a very short 5/10 minute walk along it or you can walk through the Ornamental Garden which is really lovely. You can buy a large bag of food for the ducks from the honesty box for £1 but be careful as once you start feeding the ducks all the birds will come flying towards you. We got trains all over as the train station is so close. If you fancy driving Cartmel is only 15 mins away and is well worth visiting with a lot of absolutely fabulous pubs & restaurants and there is a racecourse in the middle of the village.

We have just retunred from a fabulous overnight stay at Bay Villa. The Old Library is truly stunning with the most beautiful view. Everything you could possibly need is provided along with some really thoughtful little extras, like the welcome drinks & bath robes. Having breakfast served to you in your room is a fantastic added bonus and was absolutely delicious! The quirky rooms, tranquil location and exceptional friendly service from Lynn made our trip so memorable. This place really is a little hidden gem and we are already planning to return so that we can try out the other rooms xxx

We had an amazing stay. The room was beautiful and you could see that great care had been taken in regard to the style of the room, furnishings, comfort and cleanliness. It had everything we needed for our stay. The view was lovely and the location perfect. The breakfast was delicious and there was plenty to choose from- Lynn was lovely and our breakfast was served to us in our room which we liked. It was my husbands birthday and some sparkling wine on ice with cake was waiting for us when we arrived. I would definitely recommend.

Nothing- everything was perfect.

The helpfulness of Lynn the manager before we had even arrived was great, instructions on how to find Bay Villa where clear and precise. Unfortunately we where arriving later than usual guests, but Lynn sent full instructions for us to get in and left a parking pass for the car park. The entrance is very humble compared to what is waiting for you on the other side of the front door. the pictures on the websites do not do the property justice. We were so looking forward to staying here, but our visit absolutely blew our minds, it was out of this world. Everything you could possibly need has been thought of, once you have settled in you don't want to leave. We ended up staying an extra evening and would have stayed longer if it wasn't booked up. The decor was lavish and so comfortable, the bedding the towels the robe & slippers where beautiful quality. No expense has been spared. The Information folder had so much useful information. We would have been quite happy to stay in our room all the time we where so relaxed and comfortable. The views from the windows are wonderful. The choices for breakfast and the quality of the food is excellent. I made sure I had something different each day. Breakfast is brought up to you in your room at your selected time, don't rush take your time and enjoy it while you take in the views over the estuary. There are lots of places to dine in the evening or if you want to stay in you are more than welcome to bring a take away in. You will find a basket in your room with plates and cutlery and menus for all the take away premises locally. There are tea and coffee making facilities which were refilled everyday, the shortbread that was there was scrumptious. The bathroom had everything you could need, the shower was lovely and powerful and plenty of hot water, the towels are nice and big, soft and fluffy, if you are in the room with the shower and bath make sure you make use of the wonderful very large bath in the bay window.

The only thing we didn't like was having to leave.

The interior and rooms were outstanding. The different little touches around the rooms and corridors were so beautiful. The views over the bay were stunning and each room is so unique. We stayed in the Silverdale room which was gorgeous and had so much space. We stayed for our wedding anniversary and had a lovely treat from Lynn on arrival. Breakfast was so tasty and the variety of dishes is outstanding. We will definitely stay here again and aim to try each room out as all of them are lovely.

Nothing - it was perfect

Bay Villa is a beautiful, historical property with wonderful views of the bay (we stayed in the upstairs suite). We loved watching the water from the big bath in the bay window and also appreciated the additional separate shower room. Our room was tastefully decorated and the many little ‘extras’ showed thoughtfulness and care on the part of management. Communication was easy and informative and we were warmly welcomed on arrival. Outstanding breakfast (the best we have had in England) was served at the table by the window in our room.

A really good choice of breakfast options - and 3 courses too. We chose the granola/yoghurt with strawberries and blueberries and a full vegetarian. It was all excellent and very delicious. Our contact/host was Lynn who was just superb throughout - providing very helpful directions, a superb breakfast and she was just geuinely lovely and friendly - made a perfect stay that much better. We definitely hope to visit again.

Everything was superb - really no room for improvements that I can think of.

The breakfast choice was excellent, the quality of our food was perfect with very good portion sizes. Lynn is an exceptional host obviously busy but able to have a little chat making you feel comfortable. The standard of service before and during our stay was very professional. All in all a very relaxing stay in a graceful room with lovely quirky touches, beautiful everchanging views from the window over the estuary.

The light over the front door doesn't work so getting the key in the door in the dark is tricky.

Bay villa has plenty of charm and the view across Morecambe bay is amazing, it certainly makes for a relaxing bath! All the extra little touches in the room were fantastic and well thought through, which made for a great stay. The welcome from Lynn was excellent - she was super friendly and helpful, giving lots of info and advice. In terms of location, it’s a great base with Cartmel and Lake Windermere only 10mins away. We really couldn’t have asked for more!
