David and Alex are very welcoming, kind and considerate hosts, with attention to detail such as fresh milk in the room (in a small fridge), tea and shortbread in arrival and making the time to sit and chat when I arrived. Breakfast was great (especially the overnight oats) and nothing seemed to be too much trouble, including lending me local maps and walk books to help me enjoy the local area, and driving me to Arnside station on departure. It's a 3 minute walk to the shops and restaurants on the promenade and under 15 minutes walk to the station. The house is immaculately clean. The bed was very comfortable and I slept like a log. I hope to return soon!

Alex & David excellent hosts, You have a lovely B&B with a lovely attention to detail, fantastic location, and great knowledge of the area. I think Kentwood deserves a 10 all day, the bathroom in our bedroom was amazing with the best shower ever, the reason for our score of 9 was down to the breakfast. The service was brilliant, as was chatting to you both, but, the breakfast just let it down, the bacon was dry and seemed to have been cooked well before we got it, plus the large breakfast served on a small plate doesn't work. All round fantastic B&B. Very friendly and accommodating hosts. The location is excellent just a 20 second walk to the front and one of the two pubs. David and Alexander have provided all the little details that sometimes get missed; a fridge with fresh milk in your room, bottle opener and wine glasses, a kettle that actually fits under the bathroom sink tap, plus additional tea/coffee/hot chocolate that you can help yourself to at anytime. The choice of breakfast was really good and prepared to a very high standard using quality ingredients. We were really lucky with the weather and made use of the outdoor seating area whilst enjoying the view of the estuary and the hills beyond. Equally if the weather hadn’t been as nice, there is a guest lounge with comfy chairs overlooking the estuary.. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to go back. Thank you David and Alexander for being excellent hosts, your house is beautiful.

The location is perfect for sightseeing in the Western Lakes. There is a local train that will take you all along the coast so a great location for non drivers. The house is beautiful, it’s like staying at a friends home. The visitors lounge is filled with antiques and interesting paintings, this is also the breakfast room with great views across the bay. Alex and David are the most attentive hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them.

There was nothing I would change

Our hosts' warm and friendly service. From the moment we arrived we felt comfortable and welcome. The location of the B&B is excellent; our room had a view of the Estuary. The owners have done what many don't and spent money on furnishing the rooms with good quality fixtures and fittings. There is a lot of attention to detail in the furnishing of the rooms to ensure their guests have a very comfortable stay. If you are planning a stay in beautiful Arnside/Silverdale then we can highly recommend you stay at the Kentwood B&B.

Everything was more than I expected, everything was so detailed. The bathroom floor was heated, the doors and cupboards are hydraulic, etc. The hosts were very friendly too, they actually came to pick me up at the station when I arrived which I appreciated very much. They were fun to chat with, extremely polite, and made good brekfast! I loved the stay very much, if I was ever in Arnside again, it would be a no-brainer to stay here again.

Not much honestly

Kentwood was a very convenient place to stay for a couple of nights on our way home from Scotland. David and Alexander were very welcoming, friendly and attentive hosts - nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed delicious breakfasts, served with a smile. Our room was spotlessly clean and pleasant with a comfortable bed, and the shower room was fabulous. We would happily stay at Kentwood again if in the area.

Breakfast was excellent. As much coffee/tea/toast/juices as you wanted. Location was great for us. Alex and David couldn't do enough for us. No complaints at all. One observation is that the chairs in our bedroom were very low and Tony is very tall so slightly higher chairs would have suited him. We will definitely go back to see The Bore in autumn. A lovely garden.

Breakfast hearty and tasty, Location excellent, in the centre of Arnside village a short 1 minute walk to the Albion pub and restaurant. The hosts Alex and David were superb in every respect - they couldn`t do enough for you and are really genuine and friendly people. We had the Estuary room on the front of the house with excellent views .

Excellent accommodation. Alexander and David are superb hosts, very friendly and welcoming. The breakfasts were also very good in terms of choice as well as being very tasty. We had a lovely weekend at Kentwood Guest House and look forwards to returning soon.
