Such a beautiful location - the Thames side location and close proximity to the beautiful Town of Henley. Car parking here is a breeze. The Bar is so fabulous with Panoramic views all around the location. Every single member of staff were extremely warm and welcoming and utterly professional. Our room was very spacious - whilst very traditional - which won’t appeal to everyone - but we absolutely loved it!! Embrace the history!! Nothing was too much trouble. We felt at home. We will definitely come again. Such a little gem!!

Nothing - it’s a wonderful traditional location.

This little gem is the heartland of the United Kingdom's rowing scene. It is full of memorabilia and people connected to ongoing rowing success. Every corner is a photo, cartoon or some object connected to the rowing activities sourced out of the club, including of the 5 times Olympic medallist, Sir Steve Redgrave. Yet there was no pretension about the place. It also comes with a hidden library and of course a gym. Importantly for those just out of Heathrow, it has it's own parking and is only 30-45 minutes from Heathrow, yet feels like the middle of the country.

Great location, loved all the history of the club up on the walls. We would go back again, there’s so much to explore.

Breakfast was ok, but the coffee was awful and the toast used for the avocado on toast was barely edible. Plain sliced packet bread which tasted stale. My knife could barely cut it! Probably should have had the full English which looked great.

Location good, been to many regattas over the years. Dinner was good, only lacking a soup spoon and butter for roll. Dining room not really warm enough for time of year. Staff friendly.

Breakfast was good, full English. Butter available but no toast etc. Waiter was very busy and hard working but would have been better with help. Bed too firm, but that’s probably me. Door lock on room seemed difficult occasionally.

Receptionist not particularly welcoming. Issue with keys. Took time to be found- scrambling around in a shoe box is not ideal especially when the booking was already planned . He asked 1 Question and was uninterested in the answer(Have you stayed before a = yes 3 months ago. but we are here for a funeral today) The keys issue was worse in August it took ages but this time it took 5/10 mins with no hint of an apology! No soap in washbasin No paper or pen to use for notes/tel nos etc in the room. No spare pillows . room very hot overnight.

We arrived quite late in the day and checked in with no problems. Our meal was good and the breakfast was very good. Our serving staff in the morning were very good and attentive.

We had to wait for the barrier to be raised for the car park because reception was not there. The names on the room tags were quite worn and difficult to read. Our server for dinner didn't seem very interested in being there and was not very engaging.

Rooms were very comfortable and the breakfast was lovely

We had booked a superior king room with bath and shower. Unfortunately our room only had a shower. Did ask for a room with both bath and shower but they were not able to accommodate us. Another couple had the same problem.

Amazing location and full of rowing history. As it is a private members club, the exclusive experience was a bonus.

As it is a private members club and not a hotel per say, it took some time to find out how things operated. As I arrived early there weren’t many staff about and not much was open yet.

Great location on the side of the river, just on the edge of the town. Lovely breakfast - freshly cooked and table service. Very clean and comfortable room (nb the mattresses were very soft) with little extra touches - free bottled water in the fridge, iron and ironing board, folding luggage stand, biscuits on the hospitality tray.

They were short-staffed and it was noticeable, but presumably this is temporary. The decor is a little dated and tired.

Nothing in particular. This is very much a club first, hotel second and you’re always likely to bump into members as opposed to guests. It makes for a some slightly odd juxtapositions but these add to the hotel’s character.
