Good location within a half hour of Heathrow. Lovely beer garden to sit out overlooking beautiful countryside. Bar and really good Indian restaurant.
Could’ve done with a good clean up- carpets dusty and floors sticky. I’m convinced our room wasn’t fully prepped as there was a bath towel on the floor in the bathroom on our arrival and a continental breakfast (or part of one) which I think must’ve been left by the previous occupant? The room was equipped with a fan which was really very much needed as the room temperature went through the roof through the night - quite uncomfortable and if this is a regular occurrence it really needs air conditioning

The Manger was rushed off his feet being really attentive to a wedding party, but he still showed us absolute courtesy and consideration. A true Customer Care professional. We wanted a meal but officially the restaurant was closed for the wedding party. However, the Manager sorted something out for us. We didn't get a choice because the kitchen was focused on the party, but what we had was delicious. Lovely airey room, lovely spacious bathroom. Good buffet breakfast delivered to our room.
A minor thing...no storage shelves in the bathroom. Oh and could do with blackout blinds at the windows...both of them.

Very comfy bed. I arrived after reception had closed so was told I could pay on departure. The duty member of staff was incredibly helpful.
I only had one towel. I could have done with a bath sheet and a smaller towel. I had no water for the kettle and I didn't want to use the bathroom sink for hygiene reasons. I had jam, butter and spread but no bread. I was told I should have had croissants and was brought these by a very attentive member of staff. I was telephoned during the day asking for a card payment. I was in the middle of a very loud music festival. I was a bit annoyed as I'd told them at the time of booking and the morning of the festival that I would be late arriving.

Traditional pub building, overlooking fields from the large garden. Good free parking. Clean throughout. I was happy with selection of draught lagers, varied menu, good food (based on our purchases). Venue appears to be primarily focusing on dining and parties/weddings for larger groups and leans more towards (good) Indian cuisine. Courteous staff.
From the images I viewed prior to booking, I was expecting a traditional pub setting and atmosphere, although this didn’t detract from our stay.

The Property was set in a beautiful countryside location. The owners had retained its old character and charm but given it a modern look
The fact that we arrived before check in which was at 3 and wanted to have a drink in the Bar but the whole place was shut so we had to drive to a pub a few miles down the road then drive back for check in

The bed was comfortable, the bar and kitchen were open till late. The staff was friendly and helpful and the view from the terrace was magnificent. Good breakfast too.
The hotel was a little run down. The light in the bathroom turns off every minute, you can't finish brushing your teeth without having to turn on the light again. So you end up having a shower in the dark as the light sensors are too far from the shower.

Our host was the best - always ready to help and super professional. He worked really hard, thank you. Also, the mattress was great and really comfy.
Room wasn’t properly prepared for people with light sleep. One of the windows didn’t have a curtain at all and we had to turn the fridge off, because it was making a lot of noise.

Nothing to complain about at all.
A very warm and polite welcome and very helpful with a last minute change I had to make that the app wouldn't allow. The room was fantastic value for money for this part of the country and the continental breakfast was lovely!! The room was supplied with everything you could need including a mini fridge with milk, water and orange juice. There was also croissants, fruit, cereal, butters and jams...a very generous selection to say the least! Thank you for making my short stay a pleasant one
