We stayed here for 2 nights for a family wedding nearby and we loved every minute of it. The welcome from the receptionists who can't do enough for you, if you've forgotten anything they will have it available for you. Our medium double room was spacious and clean. We had a full-sized retro fridge with fresh milk and water and the teas and coffees were really good quality. The bed was so comfy and it's really quiet at night so we slept like babies both nights. Had dinner in the restaurant first evening and the service was quick and food very tasty. The luxury toiletries were a pleasant surprise, full-sized bottles of conditioner and hand cream as well as the usual! Had breakfast in a garden igloo as a treat and the breakfasts are excellent, with a gorgeous river view. There are long river walks around and a nature reserve not far away. We tried the French horn for lunch just 5 minutes away and it's a must if you're staying here. The staff were amazing and we couldn't fault a thing. Thank you and we'll be back!

Really loved the location as we had a lovely walk along the river and when in the pub garden, we looked out on the river which made it feel very holiday like with the sunshine. Additionally, good range of non alcoholic drinks as I'm pregnant but could still have a glass of alcohol free wine which was nice. Loved the quirkiness of the room which is one of the reasons I booked it. Being a high risk pregnancy meant I wasn't sure what I'd be able to do whilst there so knew if I had a nice room, I would mind staying in there chilling. The little retro objects and sweets were those finishing touches that made a huge difference.
Felt rushed at the restaurant towards the end of the meal and they expected us to pay without seeing the bill. When we asked for a printed bill prior to paying the bill was wrong and they were going to charge us for something that we had not order and the igloo next to us had ordered instead. Mistakes happen but feeling rushed and not seeing the bill are basics.

The room was lovely, very clean the bed was so comfy, bathroom amazing.Top up to our expectations.
On arriving to the hotel the car park was full apart for two spaces at the bottom, parked and then realised the car park was flooded ankle deep, the only way to the reception, the maintenance man carried our cases, but pumps and trainers drenched,he said it is always like this if so why are guests not prepared for this, our shoes where on the bathroom radiator for two days, and the man on the reception asked why we soaked he didn't even know,it was very warm in the room so we slept with the windows open,it was like being on a motorway room 43.

Shower was fabulous, possibly best ever in an hotel and I have stayed in a lot of hotels. Bed was huge and very comfortable and the pillows were good too. Tea, coffee etc were good as was fresh milk in the fridge.
Everything was great except there were creatures running around in the loft space above our room during the day, thankfully they went quiet at night. Room 80. Parking was busy but we always got a space. There are no restrictions on parking at the hotel so people use it as a carpark and are not always using the hotel. Should be priority to those using the hotel or bars and restaurants.

The location is fantastic on the river, the room in clock tower was unbearbly hot even with a fan we struggled to sleep, room 84 and room 15 my kids had was very small with a Superking bed you could not move in the room...not great..we had a nice dinner and breakfast.....we couldnt park on arrival as the restaurant was full and SUP users took the spaces..that was annoying after a 5 hour drive....

Our room was so lovely - decorated beautifully with thoughtful touches. The bathroom was huge. It felt less like a hotel and rather like we were staying over at the home of a friend with really good taste! I loved that there was a radio in our room instead of a TV (at least, I didn't notice a TV). Our booking came with breakfast included. This was in the Coppa Club adjacent to the main hotel (our room was in the separate building). The views of the river were nice, even on a rainy, grey morning. And the breakfast was excellent.
There's only one thing I could mention that was less than ideal, and that was the lack of any soap. There were some lovely shower, handwash and hair products in the bathroom, with a great scent. But I do like a good old bar of soap myself! I deliberately didn't bring one because I was sure the hotel would provide one. But that's a small thing!

Lovely big room, very polite and helpful reception staff.
The breakfast was expensive and not edible. I tried cancelling the second days breakfast but because we had booked via booking.com we couldn't have a refund so tried the restaurant for the second day. The food was no better, even the toast was so hard it was impossible to eat the crust. The staff were more interested in chatting amongst themselves than in taking your order. Definitely a no no regarding the restaurant, McDonald's serve a more edible breakfast and the service is good.

Beautifully decorated room, the kids beds in the family suite went down really well with our three year old daughter. Lovely products to use in the huge bathroom, the towels are thick and cozy, the shower lovely and warm. Great temperature in the room as well given it was very cold outside. The toy box had new toys in it which was a lovely surprise. Good wifi too.
It's hard to improve this but corridor noise wasn't good. Every time someone walked down the corridor or went in to their room. The noise was as if they were opening/closing our door or walking around our room. Made it a bit stressful when you've got a small child that needs lots of sleep. The restaurant was the big problem for us. We were asked if we had any allergies which we explained we had a dairy issue but the breakfast menu didn't have any dairy free options. We had to embarrassingly get up and leave.

We stayed here for my partners birthday. They upgraded our room to an apartment which was stunning! Had a bath and a shower which were both amazing. The bed was very comfortable so we slept like babies. The jar of sweets in the room was such a nice touch along with leaving a note in our room to wish my partner a happy birthday. We had booked dinner in the coppa club restaurant which was lovely and we had breakfast there in the morning which was also very tasty and made a good start to the morning. We wished we were able to stay another night!
I couldn't fault a single thing.

Bedroom and bathroom were superb. Products supplied were lovely. Real treat was the fresh milk in the fridge and coffee/tea supplies were excellent. The sweet treats made us smile. The food and service in the Coppa club was excellent and it was great to be able to pay the bill using the QR reader at the table. Whoever runs this Hotel is a treasure!
My one and only criticism which didn’t really bother us for a two night stay was the lack of drawer space. If we had been staying longer we would have had to keep lingerie items in our case.
