Food except that menu was repetitive and a bit restricted. Quality excellent Staff were generally excellent and helpful. Nice decor.

Shower was feeble and temperature difficult to control; one evening the water was so hot I could not get the temperature down to a bearable level and had to abandon it and have a bath. The bath and hand towels were hung in the wrong positions. Storage was poor with no drawers. No air conditioning but 99% of the time this would not be required!

Maria at the front desk was our primary contact. She was awesome and took care of our every request. Hotel is located in a quiet semi-rural area but only a couple of miles from a Tesco shopping center. Room was exceptionally comfortable and clean. Breakfast was great. Service at dinner was very good and room service was quick. We experienced no negatives. I would recommend without reservation.

Everything was great.

Excellent food in the restaurant. Service very courteous and efficient. The rooms were beautiful.

We were slightly confused by the breakfast menu - we'd usually go up and take some fruit, cereal or other bits and pieces from the table, then have a cooked breakfast. We didn't know if the 'Continental' or 'Cooked' choice meant the 'Cooked' people shouldn't take the stuff from the table. Also - fair to have a supplement for an espresso - but a £6..50 supplement?

The location was perfect for touring the area. The deluxe room was spacious and very comfortable. Meals were excellent although, the dinner menu was limited for a stay of several nights. The staff were all very helpful and friendly.

We were disappointed to be in a room above the dining area because of the constantly banging door between the kitchen and dining room. The first night the banging went on until 2.30 a.m. We felt there was a service staff shortage and while we were not in a rush it did mean that the waiters were struggling to do their best service.

Staff were helpful & friendly & Fiona on reception went above & beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Thank you Fiona :-) I even got a little chocolate surprise for my birthday which was a nice touch! Breakfast choice was excellent & they catered for us as vegetarians & purchased soya milk for me too! The chef even made omelettes for us on a few occasions which were excellent. Evening meals were quite good but small portions & pretty expensive. The rooms are nice and spacious and the beds are large. The mattresses and pillows are extremely comfortable. The room was kept very clean. It's a nice hotel & good location for visiting the tourist attractions.

I could hear traffic noise from our room so I didn't sleep as well as I would have liked to (on our previous stays this wasn't a problem). They did offer a room change but seeing as though it was on the same side of the building as the one we were in, we didn't see the point of going through all the hassle of changing rooms. I feel that if there was a swimming pool & spa facilities, like in a lot of the Macdonald chain of hotels, then this would make this a 'top notch' hotel!

The location, comfortable beds, bedding, towels, dressing gowns,, great breakfast, good room service, excellent sandwiches, staff and service

Room was too hot even with the window open, mold in corner of shower, after room was cleaned spider was still left in bath. Not sure if it was lack of attention to detail but it could be improved. We were unlucky as there was an event on and the noise level inside and outside hotel didn't stop until 3am.

Well appointed room, comfortable bed, good size bathroom with separate shower cubicle, good food, good location for A9 access

A bit noisy overnight! Banging doors, some traffic noise presumably from A9, odd noise sounding like a tumble dryer running all night resulted in poor sleep. May have been particular location re room 202. Very poor water pressure from the shower. Breakfast staff need more attention to table setting and service. Tea provided but had to ask for cups. No top up offered.Toast was cold.

Nice big lounge area, easy to check in and reception staff pleasant. Room was huge with lots of space, big bathroom with bath and shower. Very comfortable big bed and very clean. Great big car park with ample space.

Shower and bathtub just need a wee bit of tlc and re-grout. The breakfast I think was cooked fresh to order, however this could have been a lot hotter it was warm only and possibly smoked bacon ...not to my liking so put me off a little. Drinks also a wee bit pricy £14.00 for a pint of beer and glass of wine but its a 4☆ hotel so this reflects the pricing

Clean and gorgeous room. The bathroom was very spacious. Staff was incredible, special shout out to Angelika (I hope I spelled that right) who served us breakfast. The breakfast was great too. Lots of parking space available and location was remote enough to be quiet, but close enough to the main road and city centre to make travel easy. Reception staff were also lovely, the lady there sorted us out with plates and cutlery when we ordered takeaway.

The plugs in the room were badly placed. We couldn't plug the hairdryer in at the table and had to crouch down to use the plugs near the bottom. The hot water in the shower takes a long time to heat up.

Breakfast was great - good quality and served fast. Room nice and spacious and fantastic bathroom size with bath and shower.

Rooms need looked at for plugs - also hairdryer location to mirror - real stretch and due to the large TV the mirror is situated off to the left and then the wardrobe mirrors are behind. Also plugs for mobile phones - the USB points we very poor charge. Poor water pressure for shower
