August 2022

My partner and I stayed for 6 nights in August 2022 and really enjoyed our stay at Silverbridge Lodge. Alison and Willie made us feel at home and comfortable, much more provided us with guides of where to visit. Breakfast had a good spread of bread, cheese, milk, juice, tea, coffee, various kinds of meats, fruits etc and we enjoyed the breakfast very much. Room is just nice for two person and bed was more than comfortable and we slept well throughout our stay. Overall, we had a wonderful trip and would definitely come back to stay if we visit the Scottish Highlands.

Nothing!

location, comfort, breakfast all excellent. extra little cheeky requests eg filling a flask of hot water -no problem ! recommendations on how to optimise limited time in area for sightseeing followed and glad we did.

hard to think of any but if pushed the lounge area was on the small area should all occupants of all the rooms want to congregate. we personally used the TV when alone but felt uncomfortable when others joined the communal area leaving it on. Also others used the communal area for reading so we then felt the TV would disturb them. we went to our room to watch TV- fine but we had to sit on the bed rather than enjoy the comfort of easy chairs. this overall is a very minor point as we didn't stay to sit and watch TV, the stunning scenery was the attraction :)

What a beautiful lodge! The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful, immaculate and had the comfiest bed you'll ever sleep in. Breakfast was nice and had a good little selection including "free from" cereal which you don't see in many places so this was amazing to see. Set in a beautiful place, nice and quiet yet has a Tesco 20 minutes away aswell as a petrol station and some local restaurants to eat at thanks to Willie for recommending. 5********* Thanks so much Katie & Kieran

Honestly couldn't fault it

Great continental breakfast: the host recommended toasted butteries and they were delicious. We were using the accommodation as a stop of whilst doing some of the North West Munros and the host had lots of books, maps and information in the communal living room where we met other people doing similar. There was even space outside for us to cook using our camping stuff when we couldn't be bothered to drive to a restaurant. The room was so nicely decorated and cosy.

It was midgey, but that's out of the host's control!

The B&B was clean, quiet, breakfasts plentiful and Alison and her daughter Megan were extraordinarily accommodating. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable - Megan picked us up from the train station, and since Alison was going to Inverness at the same time we were planning to go there, she offered to take us along with her, in her car. Since we didn’t have our own car, this was very much appreciated after a long day of hillwalking. Most importantly, they were very kind and thoughtful hosts, and we’d recommend anybody looking for a place to stay in the area to look no further.

We had a very comfortable room and the lounge and dining area is spacious and very comfortable. Alison was very accommodating in supporting us to use the microwave, crockery etc to produce an evening meal for ourselves. As we were traveling on foot, she also very helpfully did some food shopping for us. she provides a substantial continental breakfast.

I would always prefer a bath but the shower was fine.

We visited Silverbridge Lodge as part of a business trip but en route to our holiday on Mull and it was an ideal stop-off between the far north of Scotland and Oban. We were only passing through but the area looks lovely and we would very much like to return to explore further. The room was not huge but perfectly adequate, the bed was very comfortable and the en suite shower-room was very nice (recently refurbished?). Breakfast is continental style which was a nice change from endless fry-ups and was excellent with cereals, cold meats, cheese, delicious fresh fruit salad and the choice of yoghurts, porridge, toast etc. We would be more than happy to return for a longer stay.

Absolute gem of a place, can't fault anything. Great facilities, super clean, spacious, had everything we needed and more.

Nothing. Just wish we'd spent less time on the hills and more time in the Lodge!!
