I recently stayed at the Westmore Bed and Breakfast and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The property is located in a quiet, residential area just a short walk from the town center. The hosts, Lynn and Mark , were incredibly welcoming and made me feel right at home. They were happy to answer any questions I had and even gave me some recommendations for things to do in the area. The room I stayed in was spacious and beautifully decorated. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. The breakfast was also amazing! Lynn cooked up a delicious spread of local produce every morning. Overall, I had a fantastic stay at the Westmore Bed and Breakfast. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a peaceful getaway. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a charming and welcoming place to stay in Highland.

Only the toilet seat which was bit wobly

Mark and Len were excellent hosts for our overnight stay at this wonderful B&B. Mark secured our touring bikes in a locked shed and even provided a compressor the next morning to fix my leaking rear tyre. Very cyclist friendly. The room was great, the bathroom modern and with excellent water pressure and the cooked breakfast certainly set us up for a day of cycling. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks.

It was like a home from home... only a bit more 'Scottish Modern Style' than my place. I was made most welcome by the hosts. There were suggestions vis-a-vis places to visit that I had not heard of previously; e.g. the salmon run at Falls of Shin. The freshly cooked breakfasts were very flavoursome and set you up well for the day before you set out.

Nothing to dislike!

Lovely owners, really cheerful and helpful, enjoyed talking to them. The breakfast was quite good, except the coffee - they might need to diversify their offer: stronger one for Europeans, lighter for others. I mean, we had to stop each morning at a cafeteria to buy proper espressos.

There were some lights not working. The bathroom was too dark, I couldn't shave properly due to the lack of light. The room was a bit noisy, with windows towards the road. Some guests misbehave and made noise during the night - I guess the owners might need to improve the sound isolation of the rooms. I really dislike the electric showers - never get enough power or heat or the right balance. And the Internet was really bad, we couldn't use it. I mean, we have four devices linked to Internet and none worked, we had to rely on 3G.

Comfortable, clean and quiet. Owners did so much to help us feel comfortable and at home, including tea in our room upon arrival, accommodating our delayed arrival, sharing time and stories with us and cooking hot breakfast early next day. Very convenient location for breaking up trip from Edinburgh to Orkneys.

Nothing to improve…

Lynn is a lovely lady who is very friendly and is very welcoming and makes you feel right at home. The room and bathroom were spotless clean. The breakfast was lovely, and you could have a fry or continental breakfast. Lynn has a lovely home. You highly recommended this b&b and would definitely stay their again.

Anything was perfect

Cozy place. The hosts were very nice. Delicious breakfast. The location is great. We visited the beautiful surroundings of Alness. There was no problem with getting to Wick, Thurso, John o'Groats. And the views from the Fyrish Monument are amazing, it's worth going there! I recommend to everyone.

The hosts were so thoughtful and patient with us as we arrived late both nights after a full day of sightseeing. The beds were very comfortable, the showers good, and the breakfast lovely. Our hostess even made a nice takeaway lunch bag for each of us for a small fee, and she was very accommodating. So thankful for finding this peaceful, homey place!

Sometimes our WiFi was a bit patchy upstairs, but, with a little patience, it met our needs.

Great breakfast, which set us up well for our journey north towards Nigg. Location was perfect for great places to eat up the main street which was well within walking distance. Pleasant river walk too before turning in for the night on an extremely comfortable mattress!

No complaints.

Perfect location for starting the NC 500. I was on a motorcycle with my wife, and the secure parking with electric gates gave us peace of mind. The WiFi connection was excellent. Great hosts gave us a warm and friendly welcome. Highly recommended.
