Gunta was fantastic. We booked late as we were just finding a place as we went. Gunta was quick to reply and clear. On arrival she was fantastic and very hospitable and we settled in immediately. Everything you could need is covered and the location is excellent. We arrived after time for last breakfast orders but Gunta sorted us no problem at all. We had pancakes and it was the best standard food we ate on our 700 mile 4 day trip round Scotland. Would highly recommend and we will be staying again. Best to book via phone or in person.

We loved our 3 night stay here! Gunta was an amazing, personable and accommodating host! We enjoyed the comfortable bedding, the feeling of escaping the city and the delicious breakfast choices (highly recommend!) There are endless things to do from this location! Highly recommend staying multiple nights or even longer. You can visit the Dalmore Distillery (in town) or the Glenmorangie Distillery (a 20 min drive) go to Inverness for the day (and make sure to do the bike tour @ invernessbiketour, visit Culloden, visit the Fyrish Monument and many more!

Felt very welcome! Got a tour of the rooms and the house. Got great advice from Guntha on what to do in the evening and she even booked a resraurant for us, which was GREAT! Had the rooms with shared bathroom, which was a good thing as we we had those two rooms amongst us; the three areas are separated from the rest and together the three of them. Fesh milk for the coffee and plenty of tasty cookies. 😍 Breakfast made to order was also very tasty. Truely a lovely hostess!

The lodge and grounds were clean and well maintained. lovely rural setting at the back of Alness. Had a particularly comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Gunta, the host, is welcoming, friendly and attentive, and more than happy to provide information and tips on the the area an beyond. Great full Scottish breakfast served if requested. overall, excellent VFM!

An exceptional B&B in a truly beautiful location. Breakfast was amazing, and the owner is a really friendly and a very interesting person to talk to. Loved her pinboards showing where all of her guests have come from. We just stayed as a stop over on the way to/from Orkney, but would have loved to have spent an extra day to explore the beautiful countryside around the B&B.

Some darker curtains or maybe blackout blinds would help with the early Scottish summer mornings!

The property and room were immaculately presented. Gunta was the sweetest host and made sure our stay was incredibly comfortable. There were plenty of great recommendations of things to do in the local area, as well as great chat. The breakfasts were also delicious and well presented.

Everything was done to a high standard from the moment we were welcomed in. The room was very comfortable and offered a good sized ensuite. The bed was very comfortable. In room facilities were above and beyond what a lot of B&Bs provide (fresh milk on offer, wine glasses, a fridge and a jar of biscuits). Dogs were welcomed for a small charge and there was plenty of space for his crate. Breakfast was very well cooked and delicious and again well exceeded our expectations with the additional items that were provided. A really lovely host who clearly takes pride in what she does. Thanks for a lovely stay and we hope to be back shortly!

Safe, warm and comfortable with good hospitality in charge of the location. Local neighbours were friendly and surrounding area magical - including the adjacent owners farms horses!

As comfortable as it was, you could hear a pin drop. And not used to the operations team staying on site either.

The bed was comfortable, the room charming overlooking a stream and although fully booked the room was quiet! Breakfast was amazing!! The hostess Gunta was professional and helpful and charming. We would definitely return, can't rate highly enough!

Reading lights too small, but did not detract from our stay.

Staff were lovely, rooms was lovely, had tea, biscuits, etc and the bathroom had soap shampoo full size bottles. Hot water never ran out and shower was big. (I am not a small person and the amount of times I have to Squeeze into a tiny shower!) They thought of everything you could have forgot on your trip and made sure it was available. Then the breakfast again exceeded itself. Very happy to recommend
