Everything was spot on. The hosts were lovely, the room was clean and comfortable and the location was decent (probably a 25 minute walk from the centre). We thought it was a really nice touch that we could have breakfast brought to the room too. Would definitely stay again. A special thank you to the hosts for getting wine and chocolates for the room prior to our arrival, for my partner's birthday.

That I only met Sherlock (the dog) on my last morning... didn't get enough cuddles!

The B&B was very nice. The host was extremely friendly and entertaining. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and there were a variety of items to choice from. The location was a short walking distance to the business district, which offered several restaurants and shops. The room was comfortable and pleasing. We would definitely stay here again.

There was no off street parking. Parking on the road was available although it could be crowded during the day.

Lovely little cottage with a small garden, right next to a babbling brook. It comes with a nice breakfast as well. Everything was clean and tidy and the cottage is just a 10 mins walk away from the train/bus station and a 5 min walk from the shops. Wayne was a great chat and gave us great recommendations for the 3 days we stayed. They have the cutest dog too! We absolutely loved it, thank you so much!

Was in a nice quite location only a five minute work to the town street where there were lots of pubs , restaurants and shops (sainsburys,Co-op!) and other shops , Bowles’s on Windermere was a 20 minute walk to the lake so not too far with regular buses

The only thing I didn’t like was trying to get the shower to the right temperature! Everything else was great we stayed in room 5 which is right on the top floor , it was cosy and a lovely weekend was had !

Everything! Laurel Cottage is one of the nicest places we've stayed. Its location in Windermere is central for everything, nice and quiet road, good parking, & it combined cosiness & a that little bit of luxury too having the spacious beautifully appointed 4 poster room for our 3 nights! Wayne & Alison very welcoming & friendly hosts, Wayne a mine of information & super helpful. Breakfasts ordered the night before, so it's all taken care of in the morning. Great choice & beautifully cooked too! Can't recommend enough, we'll certainly be going back in the Spring!

While our room was lovely & cosy, the only thing we could have done with was a heater in the bathroom. We stayed in very chilly early December, so a radiator in the bathroom would have been welcome stepping out of the shower as it was a tad chilly! Apart from that, not a niggle! :)

The hosts were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was far more varied than most and really yummy; including things like cheese of toast with onion marmalade and waffles with banana, cream and chocolate sauce! Oh and homemade jam. The view from room 4 was wonderful and the room has been tastefully decorated.

The mattress is softer than I find comfortable, but it's personal preference at the end of the day.

The property is beautiful and the rooms are clean and a great size. The breakfast was lovely with lots of options and the hosts were friendly. The location is good, there are restaurants and shops within a few minutes walk. The lake is about a 15-20 minutes walk away which was no problem for us and there were lots of buses if you want to use one.

The location was perfect, the room was clean and well equipped, it was very peaceful and the owner was very pleasant.

The room was quite small. Lovely how the breakfast was it had to be ordered the previous evening, so whatever was selected is exactly what was provided. We prefer to select what breakfast we would like in the morning as our choice might change depending what’s available.

Stunning accommodation, fantastic location with easy travel, stunning breakfast options, room & view was beautiful, Ali and Wayne were both so attentive (catering with ease to partners gluten intolerance), thoughtful and easy to communicate with full of knowledge about the lakes. I can't recommend a stay at laurel cottage enough! this is the place to be!

A great spot, just off the main road in Windermere and only a 15min walk to Bowness. We had a lovely four poster bed and the room was a great size, good shower and very clean. The breakfast was delicious and set us up for the day, with very helpful hosts (Wayne and Alison). Highly recommended and we look forward to returning again.
