Cleanliness, & location

The bathroom needs a grab rail in order to use the shower over the bath.

The staff were very friendly , helpful and welcoming. The room we stayed in was very clean and comfortable, with adeqate good qaulity supplies of tea/coffee and nice toiletries in the bathroom. the free car parking is a bonus, and just across the way from the pub. The Morecambe is ideally located to access the promenade, with several bars/pubs nearby. The Morecambe itself is a lovely pub/Inn with a really nice beer garden and play area for the kids. We had a lovely meal on the Friday and the breakfasts were exceptional, with really good quality food. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Loved the room and the location was great. We ate in the pub on our first evening and the food was very good. We also enjoyed our breakfast on the first morning as well, and considered it one of the best we have ever had,

On checking in we where given little to no information about WiFi, the guest entrance etc. While we appreciate the bar was busy it felt very rushed. On our second morning whilst being wowed by the breakfast on the first morning the second was a bit of a let down. When our breakfast arrived it looked a lot less than the previous morning and we realised we had no mushroom and hash brown, and while we totally understand they may have ran out, we would have appreciated being told and offering something else to compensate for the missing items. What really then annoyed us was seeing the couple next to us being served their breakfast with the missing items on there plate.

Its location. The free parking. The food - both breakfast and dinner. The furnishings in the room.

The mattress on our bed was way too soft for me. It made for an uncomfortable night. This is a minor point - but one that left a lasting impression: while the staff in the bar/ restaurant were friendly and obliging when you dealt with them, we had to seek them out 1) in the evening, after we’d been handed the dessert menu, no one came to take our order. I had to go and look for someone. In the morning, there was a bit of hanging around, chatting with the cleaner, during our breakfast service. Towards the end, I ended up looking for a member of staff to say we wanted to check out. These aren’t dealbreakers - but we noticed and talked about it between ourselves.

The best welcome ever in a hotel. We was greeted by Daniel. Who could not do enough for us. Very laid back and comfortable atmosphere .Evening meal was superb, breakfast was very good quality ingredients, Amazing slipper bath in the bedroom with views to the sea, very relaxing Definitely would recommend a stay here.

The mattress was the most comfortable one we have slept on the bedding was crisp and very well laundered, however the mattress was very stained and would benefit from a change or a deep clean, there was a matress protector which looked and felt brand new.

Location, location...great location for the promenade. A minutes walk to the beach and close to the shops. And 9/10 for the breakfast and a bonus that the rooms are above a gastro pub style bar for evening drinks. Good beer choice on tap and no noise heard above in the rooms. Friendly staff and nice and quiet at night, even in the road facing room we had. Only issue we had was the bedding being winter warmth in summer. Parking across the road a bit tricky to find on arrival. We would recommend.

Such a lovely hotel, set on a reasonably quiet road, a short walk back from the seafront. Loved our bedroom, so beautifully decorated with a lovely comfortable bed. Small, but perfectly formed smart bathroom. I thought the quality of the hotel was exceptional for the price. Breakfast was excellent too. We enjoyed a few drinks in the bar too, which was reasonably priced with a good selection. The residents car park is located 100 yards up the road on the opposite side to the hotel.

Nothing.

The food was top notch. Breakfast was hearty, beautifully cooked and presented; the menu was imaginative. We had dinner in the restaurant on our first night and fully intended to visit other local eateries for the remaining 2 nights of our stay but the good was so delicious that we ate there every night. The room was clean and comfy - a little on the small side but that didn't bother us. There was a problem with the heating on the first night but that was qukckly remedied. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Can't think of anything!

The location of the hotel is perfect for those travelling up to Scotland from the south and need to break up the journey. I must say I don’t often write reviews but we were so impressed by this hotel. From the minute we arrived until we left we were treated so well and nothing was too much trouble. Our family room was delightful, extremely comfortable for our family of 4! The food was exceptional with a lovely menu for both dinner and breakfast. The staff were fab, particularly poppy, Darren and Hannah. All going above and beyond for their guests. I would defo recommend this hotel to anyone and will also use it again when visiting family! Thank you!

Room was spacious and location was perfect for our needs during our stay. Staff were friendly and accommodating of our requests (servicing our room while out for a walk - so we could take our time getting changed for our plans at lunchtime). Parking was nearby and off the road - so simple and accessible. Although our room was overlooking the road and over the front of the pub - overall there was very little noise

Breakfast on the first morning was really slow (30 mins for 2x poached eggs - which turned out to be solid) - but on 2nd day Full Lancashire Breakfast was much quicker and lovely (we opted for fried eggs!)...so maybe short on staff/less experience on the first day? Some of the furnishings were in need of maintenance (stool had very wobbly legs and table/box had hinged lid - which was not secure - given this was a family room the heavy pieces of wood may have been a risk to a small child) - just an inconvenience for us. Mattress was very soft (my personal choice would be for a firmer mattress) but bed was otherwise comfy and linen clean and fresh - nicely made up and room looked lovely
