The stay was made excellent by the very attentive staff and the helpfulness. We were seen to promptly and had everything offered to us to ensure we were comfortable and ready for our stay. At first i was a little surprised to access the hotel through the restaurant but it was no discomfort at all. There was parking available and no issues entering the hotel from car park. The breakfast due to the quality of the ingredients was amazing. The quality really surpassed my expectations and I felt so at ease. The decor of the venue was so high end and the rooms were complete luxury. The mattress was really comfortable along with the pillows. The room condiments and little add ons which were included in the room price were all there to make you feel like you were in a 7* location. I cannot fault this place. It was small and bijou and yes was a little expensive for Lancaster but plonk this restaurant and hotel anywhere and I would choose to stay here each time over and over.

There was really not much not to like. If I had to be pedantic it was probably not knowing how to access the hotel stay side of the venue. If there were better instructions this may help. BUT, the automated text message updates were great and helpful.

it was a complete surprise to me that you had rooms and it felt so good to revisit with the additional bonus of having great accommodation on site.

I think that anyone choosing QSF must appreciate the area in which it’s situated, a bit of noise from the pub next door was soon dealt with by closing the velux windows. I’m 79, perhaps in a few years it could be a bit of a challenge getting up the stairs but I hope I’d rise to it. old buildings have a warmth & charm all of their own & don’t lend themselves to sterile. I for one don’t have any complaints about the property.

The food is exceptionally good. We had breakfast and evening meal each day. Everything we ordered was delicous. The room is comfortable and equipped to a high standard, it had everything we needed and more. The staff were friendly and could not do enough for us. The location is quiet while being a short walk to the city centre and the bus station for excursions. The parking is nearby and paid for by the accomodation.

I can't fault QSF. Quite simply we want to go again soon.

The room was stunning, opulently decorated and very comfortable and the shower was of exceptional quality with loads of hot water. The breakfast was fantastic with a view of the river, my son said the French toast was the best he'd ever eaten!

The room was absolutely stunning, the only slight problem was that it was a hot, muggy and rainy night and the Velux windows would close automatically due to their rain sensors - it just ended up being a bit warmer in the room than we would have liked (very minor!).

I knew from the photos that the rooms would be nice but wow! Our room was amazing!!! Exactly to our taste - a mixture of modern, vintage & high tech, beautiful decor.... Liked the keypad entry system - internal & external. Lighting exceptional. Bed & pillows were so comfy, definitely didn't want to get up. Even nice treats... Wine & tumbler glasses - not the standard, Nespresso machine, nice toiletries, slippers. It was wonderful &, as others have said, a hidden gem. We dined in the restaurant, very nice food, cocktails all in a room with lovely decor, cosy atmosphere, attentive staff. It was a lucky, last minute find! We definitely aim to come back :)

I took my girlfriend here for her birthday. I honestly felt like writing a review before i got there! I messaged Rob with regards to making it special for my girlfriend and he organised complimentary balloons, a birthday cake and a birthday plate! The room exceeded all our expectations, with local art features, different mood lighting setting and all the extras! He reserved a lovely table for me over looking the river by the window. The accommodation itself was simply stunning, with exquisite attention to detail in every corner. Our room was spacious and elegantly decorated, complete with all the amenities. Overall, I can confidently say that this 5-star accommodation is one of the best I've ever had the pleasure of staying in. From the stunning decor to the exceptional service, every detail was simply perfect. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Truly magnificent hotel and restaurant. The room was exceptional, with many extra little touches that made our stay truly memorable and the food was to die for - to the extent that we changed our plans over our weekend trip so not to miss the opportunity to dine there. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and are a credit to the establishment in every way.

Nothing not to like.

I brought my wife for New Year’s Eve a couple of nights after our wedding. The food was exceptional. Both the evening meal and breakfast were amazing. The staff were so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much to ask. We will be back.

Attended a wedding in Morecambe and required and early check in to get ready. The members of staff were brilliant and had my room ready two hours early before the original check in time! On check in, I was made to feel extremely welcome and was shown to my room and the car parking which made everything stress free. Would highly recommend staying at Quite simply French as the room was truly spectacular.
