Excellent breakfast. Great location: easy to commute to and from; quiet and thus perfect for a night of rest after a day spent in the area. Having done a couple of roadtrips around Ireland in the past, I visited a few B&Bs and I have to say that this one is BY FAR the best kept: the place is well built, it is kept clean and tidy, and the owners are a lovely couple, always ready to help.

You could spend an hour rubbing the ears of the dog and he would still want more! All is perfect; there is nothing not to like about this place.

The lodge is exceptionally clean and well kept. The views are tremendous, overlooking Lough Neagh to the west and the Mourn mountains to the south. Jim cooks a mean full Irish fry to set you up for the day. Other options available. Jim and Heidi make a great team, are very friendly and welcoming. Rooms are well equipped and Jim is on call for anything you need. Location is ideal as a base for exploring the north and west of Northern Ireland with Giants causeway, Bushmills brewery and Game of thrones sites all within easy reach.

Signage from main road is great. But if you arrive after dark the entrance to the grounds is easy to miss. A lit sign at the end of the drive would be helpful.

My first visit to Northern Ireland so I didn't know what to expect. I picked Kilcreeny Lodge as I wished to be close to Belfast but not in Belfast itself and I found Kilcreeny Lodge ideally located. Whilst it's on a quiet country road within minutes you can connect with major roads so travelling around Northern Ireland was very easy. The views over the surrounding area are wonderful and reminded me of the farms and fields of England 60 years ago ... wildflowers, mature trees in the hedgerow, etc not huge fields of Rape Seed England seems to grow nowadays.

Nothing ... I enjoyed everything about my stay and Jim (the Owner) was very freindly and I enjoyed our conversations at breakfast and in an evening when I returned.

It was a beautiful lodge with gorgeous views! It was very conveniently situated for our trip to Belfast. The owners were helpful and friendly. We loved the view from our room. We didn’t have plans for the evening we stayed, but were interested in listening to live music locally if possible. Jim called up a nearby pub for us to get us a reservation. We were able to have a delicious meal and enjoy music as we hoped! And the breakfast at the lodge the next morning was superb. It was fresh and cooked perfectly.

Nothing.

Breakfast excellent. Views and location excellent and quick into Belfast, if needed, from a rural (farm) location.

The location was second to none. It was blissful to get out into the countryside and away from the noise of the city. The peace & quiet was just what the doctor ordered. It was easy to find (thanks to Google!). The main host, Jim was very welcoming - the first thing he did was to show me where the tea & biscuits were! He then showed me to my room, showed me the bathroom and took my breakfast order. The breakfast on Tuesday morning was exactly what you would expect a breakfast to be. A lovely Irish Fry, with some of Jim's special soda bread on the side. The dining room was bright and airy with exceptional views of the Mountains of Mourne. I would highly recommend this lodge as a place to go for rest and relaxation. The price was also excellent. I had priced the Premier Inn in Lisburn and they wanted €80 for room only. I only paid €55 for bed & breakfast. There was no comparison.

Very little - I was very happy with my stay. Maybe having a private bathroom/shower rather than shared one. And there could have been shower gel available in the shower cubicle. (I'm being really picky here!!) Also, my TV didn't work, but to be fair, I didn't say anything to Jim as it didn't bother me.

Just got home from a fabulous weeks stay at Kilcreeny Lodge and I can’t recommend it highly enough!! The lodge is absolutely amazing and set in a beautiful location just a short drive from Belfast centre. Jim our host is a wonderful guy and went out his way to make sure we had a pleasurable stay. I have limited mobility so opted for the family room with disabled access and it did not disappoint. Not only was the room cosy and decorated and furnished to a high standard but was also perfectly accessible. It had a wet room complete with hand rails and plenty of space to move about. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and we were spoilt for chance. The cooked breakfast was amazing and we also had cereal, fruit, yoghurts and toast to choose from as well of fruit juices and tea and coffee. We felt really at home there and will definitely be back for another stay soon.

Just back from our stay here and it was fantastic! Beautiful house & surroundings. Our room had everything we needed and was very cosy & spotless. Breakfast was a lovely fry and loads of selection including cereal, yogurts & fruits for the babies as well! We were staying with our 2 young babies and really appreciated how child friendly it was with the food, cots in the room and high chairs available. My little one loved running around the huge garden in the evening. There was a lovely area downstairs where you could sit and relax and help yourself to tea, coffee and hot chocolate etc. The owner Jim was great, always available if you needed anything and we had some lovely conversations. The ladies working there were all really helpful & friendly! We would definitely stay here again - thanks so much for a wonderful stay!

Nothing - everything was great!

Lovely place. Jim and Sandra were amazing - couldn't be more caring, friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Food very generous sized portions, well cooked and well presented. Excellent location in lovely quiet rural position but close enough to urban areas for shopping /heritage sites etc. I hope to stay again if ever I need to stay in the area - this is my second stay and hope there will be more in the future.

Nothing I didn't like with Kilkreeny Lodge. Only bad thing - can't score more than 10 out of 10!!🤣 (wish I could give them 12/10!!!)1

The house is breathtaking, like stepping into another world. Set in the middle of the countryside with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside a short drive to shops and eateries in Glenavy. My hosts were very welcoming and the room was immaculate (and I didn't have to carry my bags up to my room - a bonus at my age). Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of choices for both cooked and continental. It was a short, easy drive into the Belfast City Airport and a lovely place to stay on my last few days in Northern Ireland. My room on the top floor was very small with only a skylight so no view, but it was really clean, beautifully furnished, the shower was great and the bed comfortable and as a solo traveller small rooms are to be expected every now and then.

Nothing, apart from the small room and only a skylight everything was perfect.
