The hotel sits above a bar in an old building. The rooms are extremely spacious along with the bathroom which had a shower and separate roll top bath. The interior of the rooms are beautiful and unique. Location of the hotel is great, with plenty of restaurants and bars around. The bed was big and very comfortable. It can be a little noisy in the evening from the people in the bar below, but we expected this due to the nature of the hotel and it didn't bother us.

The spotlight next to the wardrobe was very dim and could be brighter, especially since it was the ideal location to get ready with a full length mirror. One of the mornings we decided to try out the hotel's breakfast, but unfortunately I am Coeliac and they couldn't offer me any food so we had to go elsewhere which was pretty disappointing.

We soon felt very comfortable and at home in the Market Suite. Although the pub was busy we were greeted by a very nice manager in the downstairs bar, checked in and were given our key card and made our way to the first floor. The Market Suite is slightly strange in that you enter via the bathroom but this leads on to a comfy lounge and separate bedroom. I was pleasantly surprised that the lounge had access to a small roof terrace with seating. We went down to the bar mid evening for drinks. Standing room only at first on a busy Thursday eve, but having booked a table for dinner the same manager showed us to a cosy booth at the rear of the pub. We chose the London Platter. A freshly prepared mix of bar snacks to share and it was delicious. A few more drinks were enjoyed before heading back upstairs. I imagine it's quite a peaceful location being in a back street, but as the Market Suite is to the rear of the building it was completely quiet over night. We had the most lovely time and should we be attending the Barbican Theatre again would definitely stay here.

One minor point, the heated bathroom floor was incredibly hot. Almost too hot to walk on in bare feet. Perhaps not even required in August?

fascinating pub with rooms, close to Smithfield Market. Unique character and charm, a visit to the hostelry is an experience in itself ! Lovely, welcoming staff. Due to the licensing laws relating to the market, stout is even available with your breakfast! The accomodation is separate from the pub (next door), and consists of 6 boutique rooms spread over 3 floors. The rooms at the front can be noisy, (we understand), we were blissfully tranquil to the rear. The room was not huge but very comfortable. A very very well stocked fridge, including fresh milk, snacks and nibbles, high quality tea and coffee supplied. Breakfast was epic! Possibly the best back bacon I have ever eaten! A proper pot of tea and fresh orange

we had a couple of hardware issues in the bathroom, soon fixed! Bathroom and shower otherwise excellent. ~There might be some flexibility with the breakfast menu; I was with my son who has very fixed ideas on his "ideal breakfast", which was tricky as the extensive menu is apparently 'fixed items"

Good location close to Farringdon station. Lovely stylish room with a huge bathroom with roll top bath and separate shower. Bramley products (always nice!). Mixed view on staff - one was super helpful and helped with a charger as I'd forgotten mine. I'd already asked one member of staff behind the bar who said she couldn't help. Food was good in the pub.

There was no blind in the bathroom and I could see workers outside over the frosted section of the window, which as a bit off-putting!

Easy to find, lovely historic pub with a comfortable room and very tasty breakfast. Despite being an old place, it had all mod-cons and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The air conditioning in the room was very welcome as it was a hot day. The staff were also able to keep our bags for us for a few hours after we'd checked out, which meant we could explore locally a bit longer before our onward travel. It was at the pricier end of our budget but I'd happily stay here again.

The cold tap in the bathroom ran warm and the window wasn't frosted which was a little disconcerting as the bathroom was overlooked by a balcony opposite.

I live in a room in the attic. The room was unlike typical regular hotel rooms: the interior looked classic, and the furniture was cute and beautiful. The staff was super also very friendly when I was checking in and out of the hotel at their pub. The location is very well-connected and the area is convenient. The Farringdon tube station is just a few minutes walk and there is a 24-hr store just nearby where you can get snacks at night.

The room and the bathroom were a bit too dim. It is not a big problem, but when you need some light temporarily, you would have to use the flashlight on your phone.

This is the second time we’ve stayed this year. We’ve had two different rooms and both have been beautiful! The breakfast is absolutely delicious and we ate an evening meal this time too which was amazing! Staff even found us a table on an incredibly busy Friday evening when the pub was heaving! Staff are all friendly and happy help! We hope we get to stay again one day.

The shower head needs to be seen to. It’s a waterfall shower but water was only coming out of about ten of the holes so took a long time to wash my hair. It just needs a pin stuck in the holes to clear but it was far too height up for my husband to do it. Also the shower drain was blocked so the water filled up in the tray very fast. Both easily fixable issues and neither of them deterred us from wanting to go back or made our stay less enjoyable, just mildly inconvenient.

Our room was quite spacious and comfortable and we loved the decorations! There was also a very good range if toiletries available and an actually usable hairdryer as well, so that was also a definite plus. The food in the pub was really good and there are two underground stations within easy walking distance. All in all we were quite happy with our booking 😊

The bathroom got very warm in comparison to the rest, but otherwise everything was great. Maybe it would've been nice if we could've opened the windows, though I didn't mind personally, but my friend would've liked the option.

The location was spot on! Easy to get to from tube! The bath was amazing! Really comfortable room.

Would have been nice to have the water bottle and tea topped up for the second day. There was a dripping tap on bathroom, you couldn’t hear it when the bathroom door was closed though. I told the staff on way out and they were going to sort it.

Beautifully decorated room, absolutely huge with a lovely bathroom with roll top bath. Great location close to stations and very central. Amazingly, I didn’t hear any street noise from my room at the back. Was a really nice stay.

Only fault was that the bed could have been comfier! The pillows were a little hard :(
