The room was very clean and cozy! Staff were very friendly and as it's located above a pub, the convenience of having one last drink and heading up the room was fantastic. The room and the pub are very cozy and I didn't hear any of my neighbors! Location was perfect for my husband and I as we were primarily visiting our family who live less than a five min walking distance from gunmakers but it is also close to the main road that has waitrose and multiple cafes and restaurants.

We liked Gunmakers a lot! The only thing I would caution is that there is no elevator. We had only carry on bags and my husband was able to lift them up the flight of stairs (three flights) but if it was just me trying to carry them up, I would've definitely struggled.

Whilst the room wasn’t huge, it was perfectly laid out and there were some really nice finishing touches. It was really easy to control the temperature and we didn’t notice much ambient noise at all. The bed was big and comfortable with good quality sheets/bedding which does make a huge difference. The shower is also big enough for two 😁

There is nothing negative to say as they had all bases covered. Yes there are stairs but the super friendly staff in the pub at check in did offer to help with bags (which was kind but in our case not needed) You can have dinner in the pub itself but not breakfast however you can get 10% off at a few local eateries instead

From our arrival the staff were so helpful and courteous. Explaining all the details and facilities we needed. A very large bedroom with a beautiful bathroom including a roll top bath, separate shower and lovely heated floor.The location is behind Marylebone high street shops with all that you need food, retail therapy. You have separate access if needed. This is helpful if the Gunmakers is closed especially early in the morning.

It was unfortunate timing for us that was work on the building opposed was happening so there was noise throughout the day. Gunmakers offered a discount for any inconvenience which always helps.

The room was so cute and cozy, I loved having the window open to the courtyard listening to the rain. It was actually a very good sized room too and the bathroom was excellent. Fantastic water pressure and plenty of hot water. Couldn't hear a think form the busy pub below.

The pillows were absolute pancakes and kind of smelled like dirty hair. The tea kettle was awful, had chunks floating in it, but I told the staff and she quickly descaled it herself and brought it back spotless! The only other down side, was the big heavy wood doors were definitely not sound proof, woke up to the sound of the guest across the hall vomiting in her bathroom as if she was in my room with me.. Other than that the sound level was great.

The room was amazing, so clean. You wouldn't think it was above a pub and restaurant. Bed was comfy and bathroom spotless. Under floor heating a nice touch. Location was great, first stay in Marylebone and such a nice part of London.

2 very minor points that didnt impact the stay. The shower was a very fine adjustment between hot and cold, but when right, it was decent. Maybe having prior knowledge of the farmers market so we may have put the air con on and shut the windows, as they start early. Still a nice way to spend Sunday morning browsing and smelling what's on offer.

We chose Gunmakers because of the exceptional size of the rooms, and the inclusion of a comfortable easy chair, and a large desk for setting up the laptop. Traditional decor, and the ability to open the windows for fresh air was also appealing. the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom large and well-equipped. Check-in was easy, with the bartender at the pub, and prepayment made our very early morning departure easy too. Location a few blocks from two different tube stations was convenient as well. Potential guests with mobility issues or lots of heavy luggage will want to note the number of stairs with no lift, but that wasn't a problem for us. There is a currently a construction site across the street, but as they don't seem to work at night or on weekends, we weren't bothered by noise.

In this posh and at the same lively part of London it is not easy to find a value for money accommodation… but I found it. I stayed in the Churchill Room which was kind of a penthouse room above all the others.. Very spacy, neat, great bathroom and kitchen for under 200 GBP

It is 4 flight of stairs and I just had a light carry on for one night, so no issue for me. Not suitable for havy suitcases. There is no breakfast available, but they have discount deals with some restaurants in the area from 8h30 onwards

Nice self contained room on the top floor with excellent large bathroom and shower. Kitchenette was well equipped. Bed was fine. It was warm with windows that opened for fresh air. It was very quiet

I would have liked to know that it was next to/ above The Gunmakers pub and that we had to check in at the bar. I would have liked to know that it was on the third floor and there was no lift. The bed sheets were clean but marked. I would have liked another bulkier pillow

Was a great location, walkable to most of central london if you like a good walk. And just off the main high street, so quiet and welcoming. With good food selection in the restaurant, and very friendly helpful staff.

Room had underfloor heating, which was great. But the controls were not clear that this is what it was for so we didn't realise until the next day. But good either way.

I just loved this place! I went with my 6 year old son for 1 night and our stay at Gunmakers was excellent. Very easy check in and check out procedure. Rooms so comfortable, great beds, nice bathroom and we could even make coffee and tea in the room. I was positive surprised that besides the area is very lively and there’s a crowded pub downstairs, the room was very quiet! The shops and cozy bars/restaurants in the neighborhood are lovely.
