Very close to paddington station which was very convenient and lots of places to eat. Place was clean. We booked a large room and I would honestly hate to see the small rooms! Anything we asked staff for was not a problem and bottled water on arrival. Was warm for a building with single glaze windows.

Lift played up the last 2 days we stayed not ideal at all. I understand it is a listed building and lots of restrictions on what can be done in rooms and not but I do not understand how they are not allowed to have heavy blackout curtains this would help with heat cold and noise! Bed not very comfortable

Rooms were well finished and felt very cosy the bed was very comfy and the pillows were great the shower had plenty of power and it was quite warm

The windows were not very sound proof they also had very bad draft coming through the bottom of the windows… the shower was very small. There was no place to lay your things . The room needed more hooks to hang jackets as there was only for coat hangars which I used for my clothes

Location, room, staff and breakfast were excellent.

Wish I could say lots of bad things to keep This gem a secret. But I cannot.

We booked the large room, which was clean and comfortable and more than adequate for the two of us. The hotel has retained a brilliant blend of historic charm and modern amenities. We had a great overnight stay and the breakfast in the morning was fantastic, as was the coffee. The staff were very helpful and gave good suggestions for local places to visit for food and drink.

There is a fair amount of street noise, particularly as it is close to the train station, but this didn't bother us. Suggest to bring ear plugs if you are not used to a busy city.

Beautifully designed, sympathetic to original building style. Great location. Great balance of form and function.

Room w12 is very noisy at night. I only got a few hours sleep due to street noise. Sympathetic double glazing would be good, but in the meantime perhaps provide single use ear plugs. To be honest I think you should be up front with people about the noise and offer a reduced rate - like ‘restricted view’ seats at the theatre - because the noise level is extreme. Slightly heavier bedding in winter would also be advantageous, even if only a wool blanket.

This is our second stay at the Pilgrm. We love the decor and the atmosphere. We love that we can sit in the breakfast room or next to it, all day long, and work. The plants, the pictures, ornaments, the incense in the afternoon, they all give the place character which you don't find in the standard hotels just around the corner. The staff has a real positive attitude. And of course, the place is extra clean. Also, the location is next to Paddinton station, so really easily accessible.

The only downside is that the rooms are generally small (at least the one we had), and there wasn't sufficient place to hang our stuff. Even so, I would definitely stay here again.

The interior design was lovely in the rooms and throughout the hotel. Quality of meals and drinks were very high for both breakfast and evening lounging. Staff are very accommodating and friendly.

Navigating to rooms on arrival was difficult due to the very small size of the lift, however as with old buildings this is difficult to improve. We simply made two trips with our bags. During our stay we used the large central staircase which was up through the central lounge area. Rooms were very small however met our expectation for what was advertised. We'd booked a large room and a single room to accommodate our family of 3, and didn't know they would be a long way from each other which was inconvenient, however was manageable for us.

The locations was perfect. 50 meters from Paddington station which takes you into the city and directly to the airport. There is also a hop on hop off bus stop right outside. Staff were friendly, facilitates were clean.

The size of the room was very small, but we didn’t mind as we spent little time in the room anyway. We had cool weather, so the lack of air conditioning didn’t bother us, but if you were there during a heat wave, you would be in a bit of discomfort as there is only a standing fan.

the location is very good. While it's not a very pretty area around Paddington it's incredibly close to so many other areas. You're right near the station so overland and 3 tubes lines plus walking distance of Marelybone, Kensington Gardens, Covent Gardens etc. The breakfast was fabulous. Lot's of choices and the coffee was some of the best in London (I usually find coffee in the UK pretty disgusting, so was very impressed).

There were a couple of not overly friendly staff at breakfast. The location is great as I mentioned but not an area, as a woman, I would walk around at nighttime on my own.

The staff were very warm and accommodating (which contrasted with the 3 other places we stayed during the trip). The staff made all the difference. Then there is the tasteful, retro decor, abundance of plants, and small details, such as the unlimited tea and the cute soap. But the staff really made our stay comfortable and we felt so welcomed. The location was convenient.

We asked for a room that would suit mobility issues but in the end, we got a room that needed about 10 stairs to access. The staff moved us there after originally being booked in a room with 2 staircases (!) plus elevator. My advice, be strong in your wording and emphasize if you cannot do stairs. The staff tried their best to find a solution and were very apologetic, which we greatly appreciated!
