Great location, great room - admittedly to back of hotel facing the cliff but not a problem. Breakfast was fantastic served by a very welcoming staff member. Maybe it was us and our aging backs but we unfortunately did not find the bed comfy (mattress was a little soft and warped). Room 5. Our daughters single room, facing the estuary (Room 4), was just fine. Thank you

The team were wonderful friendly helpful couldn't do enough for us. The room was large and had everything we needed. Unlike larger hotels we received a change of towels each day and fresh water The B and B was right beside the bridge and the town centre and yet it was exceptionally quiet.

If I had a criticism it was only that the back rooms were dark and the electrical lights could be a higher watt. Also the roof view at the back could do with a clean and a more cheerful outlook. Did not spoil stay.

Very friendly and attentive staff who gave the impression that nothing was too much trouble. Perfect location given that we arrived by train and didn't wish to be in the heart of the town. Breakfast freshly cooked and all to order. There was never a feeling of being rushed and the whole stay was as relaxing as we could have wished for.

Given the outside temperatures it was difficult to regulate the room temperature and a fan would have been both useful and welcome.

My first stay at this hotel. Living locally, attended historical talk in West Looe, but knowing my trains probably will be cancelled because of weather conditions, I booked single room in advance. When I came, Sammy, the owner, greeted me warmly and led to the top floor, where the double room was located (he gave me more spacious room, better than one I booked, which was unexpected surprise!). Very nice room, indeed - large window providing beautiful views over the bridge and river. Exceptionally clean, room and bathroom decorated in calming but good colour scheme, grey in tiles matches the grey line in towels etc. Small nice TV, tea and coffee making facilities in good standard, I liked the touch of homely feel - sugar cubes, bottled water. Table watch with light and alarm on bedside table. Even Bible in the drawer! Hangers instead of wardrobe, extra pillows, soap, shower gel, hand wash liquid, glass coasters - everything you need. Not much of traffic noise in the evening. I had good sleep and big cooked breakfast (5 options available , plus fruit, yoghurt etc). Definitely will stay again!

Everything was perfect, but if thinking about improvement, mattress could be firmer and shower more powerful. But for one night's stay, I have no complaints. Lovely staff, who care about the hotel and guests.

Sammy is great host, very friendly and breakfast was very tasty. The room really was with a great view, overlooking the bridge and river. Really enjoyed sitting in window aisle and looking as the dusk falls and city lights turn on, illuminating the river and yachts. Although the guest house is located in center of city, it was very calm throughout the night. And no noise from neighbors also. A cosy place where to get much needed rest.

My wife thinks that couples bed could be a tad wider, but I didn't mind :D

The location was excellent, the hosts were friendly and very helpful. It's an older property with steep steps to access the entrance with luggage, which may be difficult for some guests. However, the room was very clean, had everything we needed, excellent WiFi, tea/coffee, hairdryer etc. Breakfast was lovely, and all the kitchen/serving staff were wonderful, particularly the lady who served us at the table. My daughter is a fussy eater and she made her feel at ease and even offered another guest a sausage for their dog!! Just lovely! Simple to book, excellent communication from the hosts about parking etc. Shame they couldn't fix the weather for us though 🤣

There was nothing to complain about, good value for money, the only niggle would be access for those less able, but that didn't affect us.

Excellent breakfast very tasty and all locally sourced produce. So clean and well presented. Staff were so accommodating and nice. Plenty of tea and coffee in the room. Water and hairdryer. Soaps, shampoo and decent towels. Great little place. Will definitely be returning.

This isn't a criticism at all but please be aware that there are some very steep steps leading up to the hotel. Our room was on the top floor and although lovely I found it difficult to climb the 5 flights of stairs. As I said not a criticism, I didn't check before I booked and this was a late booking so I got the last room. So this was my fault and not a reflection on the hotel. So this hotel would not be suitable for anyone disabled. Also be mindful that there is no parking on site. You can however park for free between 6pm and 9am in the council carpark just a small walk down the street.

Guest House was very well located in centre of Looe. Rooms were very well appointed and immaculately clean. Communications were great throughout with clear instructions on how to let myself in late and the cooked breakfast in the morning was fantastic. I'd definitely return and recommend it to others!

My only concern was that the bed wasn't overly comfortable, it was fine for the single night I stayed but for a longer stay I feel it would likely have aggravated my back.

The location was perfect, great views from the room. All the facilities you’d need, clean. The room had separate private bathroom, just along the hall on same floor. Breakfast was great and staff were friendly and helpful.

It’s difficult to please all guests but some apparently had asked for the heating to be turned up. This meant for me, the room I stayed in unfortunately was really a bit too hot. There was no thermostatic control on the radiator which the bed was up against and I couldn’t open the window. Thankfully, I had plenty of water to keep me hydrated and the door also didn’t lock from the inside. Overall decor was very pleasant but a handyman needed to fix a few things to make it top notch!

Sammy is a lovely host. Very nice breakfast in the morning. My room was perfect and I had a separate bathroom just for me.

Seagulls but then I guess you get that in a pretty fishing town! They just wake up very early!! Not really a didn’t like but be aware the B&B is up a steep flight of stairs and then you maybe on the top floor which my 83 year old Dad found OK for a night but he would have struggled for a weeks stay
