Wonderful sea views, lovely seaside hotel. I had a beautiful room, comfortable bed. I stayed 2 nights so had 2 breakfasts. I came down to breakfast at 9am botn days. The first morning the food was pretty dire, dried out over heated food that was almost unpalatable, the 2nd morning it was freshly cooked and delicious. Unfortunately the young staff couldn’t be bothered either morning

Over priced under whelming food in the bar. Younger members of staff uninterested in serving customers. Maybe the young staff are seasonal workers in school holidays but they are completely uninterested in the customers, getting someone to take my order or even acknowledge me was an uphill task. This was the same whether at breakfast or in the evening.

The hotel is situated in an excellent location overlooking Looe. Although my room was at the side and a little noisy it was very comfortable All the staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was generous and in the dining room overlooking the bay and the Cornwall coast Good indoor and outside public spaces for relaxation and a drink / meal Free car parking

My room was adjacent to the kitchen extractor and hence a bit noisy with the window open. So another time I would try to book a different room but I would be OK with it again, if necessary Public area carpets could do with being replaced

Excellent location close to the water's edge (rocks). Sea view room had a superb view across the bay towars the East - we watched the surise every morning. Adjacent private parking (long private layby) was good to have - the shore road gets very busy at times.

The staffing was haphazard - people 'not there', or not knowing what was going on. They'd lost our room key when we came to check in. Reception was unstaffed sometimes... The breakfast was supposed to run from 08:00 onwards, but it was after 8:15 when all the food items were finally put out (staffing again I'd guess). They they wanted another £2.50 for the fish options. The lounge area was really a bar with hard tables and chairs, not really condusive to a relaxed unwind at the end of the day.

It's hard to rate this hotel. The staff is great, the location and view just incredible and the breakfast was good too. I have even been offered a room upgrade on arrival. The room's bed was comfy, the bathroom clean. There is a swimming pool and spa on site. A great coastal hiking trail starts just outside the hotel. Parking is available for free in front of the hotel. Overall good value for money.

That being said, the hotel is in need of some renovations. The "old hotel" smell mentioned by other reviewers is very much noticeable and made me air out my room upon entering every time. Also, breakfast was good, but the carpet in the breakfast room was noticeably dirty and the breakfast room overall was just dated. I believe certain rooms have already been refurbished, so this hotel will just get better and better the following years.

Beautiful views and parking opposite hotel. On the quieter side of Looe so relaxing. Downhill walk into East Looe with lovely views on the way. Lovely sea view room with binoculars provided, nice touch.

Seemed a little short of staff at busy times but all were very helpful and friendly. Fairly old building so lots of steps in different places so might make getting around hard for disabled although there is a lift to get into hotel and onto different floors showing they have done what they can with such an old building.

Room very clean, we had the last room, over looking the garden from a high window. Staff that greeted us for breakfast & served us, brilliant.. Breakfast with a beautiful view. We preferred our toast later rather than when we ordered or tea, but that is our preference…

Not being able to have takeaway fish & chips from the chip shop as they only do takeaway for lunch & it’s a sit down menu in the evening. A bit too far for us too walk back into town for a light supper..BUT again that is our preference..not really a negative…

The staff were friendly and helpful. The views were stunning from the room and the common areas. The location was great, easy to get to the beautiful beach. The restaurant had a good variety of vegetarian options and the food was good. The room was spacious, had everything needed. The spa facilities were good.

We booked a king bed room but was disappointed to find twin beds zipped together. Unfortunately the gap between them was a bit large. The mattresses were tired so felt a little like rolling to the edges. We were able to park the car outside the hotel, but that was lucky as the spaces allocated to the hotel on the clifftop were full.

The location is probably one of the best, the staff were all friendly and helpful. The food was superb quality. We enjoyed both a light evening meal in the Bar and Breakfast - which was excellent.

Being picky, I would have liked a larger room with perhaps the bedroom being separate. Because the leisure facilities are open to the public ( I fully understand why), the facilities were crowded with I think one local family taken up residence in the hot tub. This meant that the Car parking was also a bit of a lottery as people parked to use the leisure facilities. As I said being picky - these point would not stop me from visiting again

Breakfast set me up for the day. Use of swimming pool sauna really nice. All in all very happy with everything. Sea view would have been a bonus but l had a nice outlook over garden and very quiet and peaceful.

Water for bath ran brown first night. I didn't complain as l don't. But someone probably did it was fine next night. Only blight for me and no massive issue.

very clean and welcoming staff. They had upgraded my friend and I's single rooms to double's. Spa is amazing with Hydro pool and heated tiled beds, pool temperature was perfect. Breakfast was outstanding. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel and I will be going back in the future. Loved the land-train and it's tour. Drop off at the beach is fantastic as I'm disabled and can not walk far. Well done to all the staff.

A view over the sea would have totally sealed the deal for us but you can't have everything realistically.
